Azure · 11/07/2004 19:11

Soooo glad you are going to test, I've got everything crossed, and a really good feeling, make sure you come on line and let us know.

smellymelly · 11/07/2004 19:24

Malinki - I had hot flushes before testing postive this time!! Never had them before.

Good luck.

strawberry · 11/07/2004 19:35

lostinparis · 11/07/2004 19:44

welcome strawberry - I'm pleased to hear that you feel ready to try again, there are a few of us who have recently had m/cs on this thread.

xoz · 11/07/2004 19:45

How long do you wait to take a test after AF was due???? My Af due tommorrow and I feel like I want to test in the morning if it doesn't arrive overnight... too soon do you think?

hana · 11/07/2004 19:45

strawberry - good luck and hope you're back on a spring/summer thread very soon.

bluestar · 11/07/2004 19:48

xoz, should be able to test day af due - GOOD LUCK!

Staceyk · 11/07/2004 19:50

xoz You are meant to wait til your longest cycle, a lot of tests can tell from date AF due.
But basically forget the science, if you feel you want to test, then test. There is no right or wrong. Alternatively wait to see if your body gives you any signs.
Testing can sometimes help, at least you know, yet other find frequent testing can get them down. Whatever you decide good luck, and be sure to let us know.

xoz · 11/07/2004 19:55

yeah I will let you know... I just feel like it might be a waste as dh was away in the middle the fertile bit of this month, but I've only been off the pill for 3 cycles (incl this one). It only took me 1 cycle to fall pg with dd1 and 2 with dd2 (lucky I know), but I've got some signs... maybe I'll wait a few more days.... arrrrrgh I have such a problem with patience!!!!

Slink · 11/07/2004 22:02

Thank you to all, Bluestar Azure and tex111 have been trying for ages (if you can call it trying dh has a low libido so we just go with the flow. I have suggested that we try every other or every third day he did not speak for a while, he wants another too but hey ho we will keep trying

ChaCha · 11/07/2004 23:10

Hi everyone!
Haven't been on here for a while. Took another most needed break from TTC Will start again later this month.
Any good news? Havent time to read through last thread.
How is everyone? Still here, still at it like me? x

runtus · 12/07/2004 11:31

Oh thank the lord, there was me thinking I was doing something wrong becuase my other half didn't want to 'perform' every other night! I think there are quite a few of us on here that are getting a bit worked up about missing that vital fertile week becuase our other halves feel a bit used and the sex too organised for it to be fun.

I've finally come to the conclusion that the more worked up I get about it all, the less likely it is to happen (much like a longed for period when you really don't want to be pregnant!). I know it's hard not to look at dates and work out the best day to bd but it's for the best I reckon....after all we have only been ttc for a couple of months

rosies · 12/07/2004 11:49

as a point of interest, i remember when prince edward and sophie were ttc. apparently they both used to have regular massage sessions (not togther i dont think!) to ease stress and help with relaxation.

so many ttc problems are caused by an understandable stress. you gotta chill out, ladies!

best wishes

rosie

Tex111 · 12/07/2004 12:12

My temp went up this morning so I think I'm past the fertile phase now and I'm sure we missed it this month but I feel OK about it this time. It gives me a bit longer to regroup after the m/c.

Welcome back Chacha. Hope your break did you some good. Best of luck!

Xoz, good luck with your testing!! It sounds good. I know exactly what you mean about lack of patience. I usually spend a fortune on tests. With DS I took a test 4 days before my period was even due (got a line though!).

Welcome Strawberry and best of luck to you. How many cycles has it been since your m/c? I had a m/c three weeks ago but I'm sure we've missed this month's fertile period (if there was one) but we'll be trying next month.

Good luck Malinki, can't wait to hear your result!!

BeckiF, I have lots of friends who weigh more than you do and they have gone on to have heathly pregnancies and gorgeous babies. Good luck to you!!

Trying to get DH to BD at the right time is something I haven't had a problem with. Since we had our DS, now 2, I think he's resigned to taking it when he can get it! I actually read an article about couples in America who were using artificial insemination because they were both too busy to BD at the right time. So the DH would go make a deposit at the sperm bank when it was convenient for him and then his DW would pencil it in her diary when she would need an injection and just pop down to the sperm bank on her lunch hour!

Staceyk · 12/07/2004 12:18

Have you tested yet malinki ?

malinki · 12/07/2004 14:59

Hi

Yes I tested x 2 BFN , still feel a little sick though and light headed, I am still having sweats and still have a slight pain, just under by belly to the left abit, sort of between my belly button and hip, but above my pubic bone, I don't know why I keep going hot, so if it is still happening next week (its been going on for over a week now), I'll go see my GP, but I have an appointment to see my gynie on 22/07, so i might wait to see what she says

Cyndii · 12/07/2004 15:27

Gosh if I suggested my DH going to letting his sperm into a jar for me I think that would be the final straw!! I can just see his face now that's made me laugh!!! Don’t like that idea it's way to clinical for me! But yes it's so easy to get worked up into a frenzy I really thought I was "ok" but I'm not I'm worked up and don't think I'll be joining the March thread but what can one do. I've to travel to London in early Oct (I'm from Ireland) with my son for an appointment in GOS and we have to fly so I don't want to fly until after 12 weeks so it probably means that I won't be joining a thread until next Summer and means if it even happens for me. Horrible I want it to happen. What are your opinions/experience on flying before 12 weeks??????????? Any answers greatly appreciated. Thanks and keep the chin up everyone.

Welcome strawberry and more and more baby dust and patience. I don't have too much patience either!

runtus · 12/07/2004 15:41

I wondered about flying actually - have a holiday booked in August and was concerned about ttc whilst taking malaria tablets and possibly flying while in early pregnancy?

miranda2 · 12/07/2004 15:51

Hiya. No idea what CD I am - somewhere in the first 7! Had really odd brown spotting for a couple of days before AF due, then since the day after I was expecting it (sat - and i did a -ve test) a sort of period, but very light. So when should I count it as having started?? No idea...have had a stressful week so maybe that's disrupted things. I'll just have to bd at random intervals for the next month I guess!

Staceyk · 12/07/2004 15:52

I've just booked a holiday this morning to fly end of Aug to early Sept. But decided couldn't put life on hold ttc, think it may probably help, relieve stress, and something to look forward to, and we've all heard the stories where people fall pg, when they least expecting/wanting it. I kind of look at it, if by any miracle I do fall, I'll cross that bridge when it happens. If need be I'd be more than happy to cancel my holiday for that reason.

Malinki, I'm so sorry to hear that, I was so sure you were going to get a BFP, what with symptoms, and you having very early and very light AF. Still think worth checking with GP, after all you are in pain

joannee · 12/07/2004 16:43

bluestar · 12/07/2004 17:11

Slink, have you thought about using OPKs? That way, your dh doesn't have to keep performing, just on the days that matter, which may take some of the pressure off?

One week until I will know if this is the month! Anyone else on countdown?
