OMG Azure - Fantastic news!!

Remind us how long you have been trying...

bluestar · 16/08/2004 09:57

Azure, wow wow wow Absolutely delighted for you!!!!!!!!

Kay1 · 16/08/2004 10:00

Azure - big congratulations to you - have been lurking here for some time, having decided some months ago to try less hard to ttc!! Well done to you and dh and thankyou for showing us that it can be done!!!!!!!!!! Best wishes

Azure · 16/08/2004 10:10

Many thanks for all your best wishes. I told DH after testing last night and his first comment was on the lines of "I guess I won't be getting much sex, then". Typical. I don't drink much these days, but had had a few boozy-ish nights recently, including Saturday night, fully expecting AF to happen. Guilt. I don't even know when I ov'd last month. Am still in a state of shock, but after my m/c last October am going to downplay it. I first started ttc #2 almost 2 years ago - it took a year to conceive the baby lost in October, and 2 months to stop bleeding after the m/c. I started trying again in January. I must have conceived this time just two weeks short of a year from conceiving last time. DS is 3 at the end of this month. I'm so pleased that this has been a succesful thread for so many and wish the remaining tts'ers all the best. I'm sure it will happen for all of you - sometimes it just takes a little longer than hoped.

Azure - really pleased for you, that's fantastic

My AF is due Wed and I'm 99.9% sure that not pregnant. All the symptoms of AF, oh well.

Cobweb · 16/08/2004 11:08

Well my AF is due in about 13 days time, not sure what to think about it at the moment, although DH and I have been BD'ing a lot lately

hana · 16/08/2004 11:21

Azure - fantastic fantastic news!! Congratulations and best wishes for a wonderful pregnancy

hester · 16/08/2004 11:25

Azure, that's fantastic news!

Twiga - I wanted to thank you, too, for the Medisave tip. It is SO much cheaper and that means a lot when you've been ttc as long as I have!

and caz61 - just wanted to say - many sympathies. I don't know the answer, but it does sound worth discussing with your doctor and retesting next month.

malinki · 16/08/2004 12:13

Azure, what is left to say but a huge congratulations and (((( big hugs ))))

twolongtwoweeks · 16/08/2004 12:16

Is the medisave tip the cheap pregnancy tests on line??? Does anyone have a link for them pleaseeeeee

nutcracker · 16/08/2004 12:23

there you go

popsycal · 16/08/2004 12:23

congratulations azure!!!

BeckiF · 16/08/2004 13:40

Congrats Azure I still have no AF but terrible lower back pain at the mo so maybe the weight loss and max dose of Metformin are kicking my system into action. Did a test on Sun to just make sure and got the usual bfn. Had these widespread period pains and backach though that kept me awake last nihgt, but no very tender boobs which I awlays get, so maybe my system is half working!! Anyway, got the hospital on the24th to see my gynae doc to just see how things are going ... I wonder why I bother at times. Can't wait to start the IVF though...just need to get another stone off, then I've lost two and I stand a bit better chance. Love to all xxx

caz61 · 16/08/2004 14:03

Congratulations Azure - fabulous news and wonderful for you as you started this really successful link!!

Here's hoping for the rest of us!!

Bibi20 · 16/08/2004 14:22

Congratulations Azure - that's fantastic news!!

Your DH's response sounds like the kind of thing mine would say - anything to avoid showing his true feelings or gasp being emotional!

Did you do anything differently this month - any top tips?!

runtus · 16/08/2004 15:19

Congrats Azure - THAT WAS JUST THE SORT OF GOOD NEWS I MEANT!

runtus · 16/08/2004 15:20

Sorry for shouting!

Twiga · 16/08/2004 16:43

Azure, you've made my week what fabulous news - 3 cheers for you guys!!! !!! Hope you're going to check in on us lot from time to time.

Glad folk are finding the medisave tip handy - someone let me know if they can manage the balacing over a cup thing better than me ! Medisave's been a life saver for me as dh was getting really annoyed with the ammount of cash wasted on me testing far too early, just in case coz I have no patience. The link is further down the thread and nutcracker has put it in again further up - thanks nutcraker!

Hope everyone is doing ok and AF's are not feeling too rotten x x x

Twiga · 16/08/2004 16:50

tex111, you have a ds, that's cool - we're trying for our first. Can't believe you're a Revels fan too (I like coffe ones best ), we took the kids from the children's home out last night to see "13 going on 30", it was nice feel good movie with a cheerful ending - I was on the revels too and will probably need to visit the gym later in the week to burn off the calories. Figured from the reviews that Catwoman would be pants and from what you've said, think I'll be giving it a miss!! Feeling less bloated today and starting to feel excited about the whole ttc thing, so want to be pregnant again.

Azure · 16/08/2004 17:19

Thanks for all the lovely messages. This board has been such a support over the months, it's going to be difficult to drag me away! Do I have any top tips? Unfortunately not. If anything, I've drunk more this month and been less bothered about dates. I took evening primrose oil until ovulation, plus zinc, and DH was meant to be taking zinc too (not sure how consistent he was). Last week I got through an appointment for October at the infertility clinic in the hospital - my GP had said that he would refer me, but believed I would be pregnant before it was needed, and I guess he was right. He himself took over a year to conceive. I am still very aware that it is early days for this pregnancy.

well done azure. I thought the minute I started to look for work back in Holborn, you'd be leaving. Congratulations and I hope it all goes well.

bunny2 · 16/08/2004 20:10
