Hi Beckif, welcome back!!!!

Staceyk · 10/07/2004 13:21

Hi BeckiF

CD 260 Oh dear, I'm a PCOS too currently cd47. What treatment are you having? Is this ttc#1?
I'm on Metformin 1500mg a day, for 9 weeks.

Cyndii · 10/07/2004 16:58

So bad pains and constipation are good signs then Bluestar ~ delighted to hear that as I had both yesterday so watch out dh tonight is the night!! Fingers Crossed.

Mitzi, one the ladies in this thread recommended Fertility Friend and it was a great web site so I'd highly recommend it!!

Take care & more & more baby dust

lostinparis · 10/07/2004 17:16

Mitzi - I'll second the fertility friend being great + take a look at this: Http://www.pregnancyloss.info/sperm_meets_egg_plan.htm
I'm going to try this once I've had an AF following my m/c last month, although I'm ignoring the advice re waiting for the first AF before starting to try again (this month I'm just working on the basis of sex every other day + started using the fertility friend although I'm not sure that it will be v. accurate until my first post-m/c AF.
A liberal sprinkling of baby dust to all - looking forward to week 2's graduate of ttc group 8 coming foward soon!

malinki · 10/07/2004 18:08

Boobs tingle, feel really bloated, CD8 today,

Tex111 · 10/07/2004 18:52

Lostinparis, looks like we're in the same boat. I'm waiting for my first AF after m/c too and would be pleased to fall pregnant anytime! I'm using the TCOYF website (www.tcoyf.com). I think it's similiar to Fertility Friend.

Good luck everyone!

Tex111 · 10/07/2004 18:55

Just realised that TCOYF is now Ovusoft so it's www.ovusoft.com.

Staceyk · 10/07/2004 19:16

Malinki
I really don't think you are CD8!! I have a feeling not a true AF, if my memory serves me right don't you normally have 60 day cycles? To me it seems promising, think worth a test.
You could be our graduate for this week!
And don't worry about being a cow to DH! He signed up for it when he said I do

runtus · 10/07/2004 19:19

How do you all manage to BD every other night???

Both myself and my DH are so knackered most of the time (getting up early for the long cummute to the big smoke, long days etc) we rarely do it more than once a week!

Is starting to worry me slightly, what with there begin only one 'fertile' week a month.....

Staceyk · 10/07/2004 19:28

Runtus

I have the same problem, DH and I are both up at 5am, and not home til 6pm so we are always tired, and come bedtime all we want to do is sleep. We really try every other day, around CD10-20, but as I have PCOS and can go to anything like CD60, after day 20, we slip back into weekend Bding!
Glad you asked though, I felt like I wasn't trying hard enough!

Cyndii · 10/07/2004 19:28

RUNTUS
I know what you mean when you say BD but what exactly does the abbreviations stand for?? I do get the jest but the exact words please for little old green horn here.........

BeckiF · 10/07/2004 22:38

Hi - yes I am painfully & desperately ttc #1. I am SPOSED to be on Metformin but I struggle so much with it that I have not been taking it. It's hard knowing I have a course of IVF waiting for me, and I'm itching to go for it but I should try and lose some weight first. Ah well ....

Slink · 10/07/2004 23:34

Feeling shit have just come on was a day late really thought this was it. Why oh why do i do this to myself every month. Got a box of chocs so here i go. I really want to have another baby.

Staceyk · 11/07/2004 10:21

Hi BeckiF
How much do you weigh? Have you got to lose weight before they will do IVF? I can honestly say metformin is awful, but if you stick with it, it does get better. first 2 weeks horrid, but now, I only have an upset stomach if I have a fatty meal. and I've lost 1 and half stone since taking it in 10 weeks! Try and give it another go if you can. When is IVF booked for? How long you been ttc? Is PCOS your only problem?
Ooo sorry 20 questions there.

bluestar · 11/07/2004 12:01

slink, sorry to hear af arrived .

BD = baby dance = sex!

Currently at 6DPO. Trying not to think about the 'am I, aren't I' scenario although have worked out potential due date, so who am I kidding!!

Anyone due to test soon?

Azure · 11/07/2004 12:14

Slink sorry to hear about AF Bluestar - fingers crossed. Miranda2 - any news? How was the retreat? Also Gold123, Aussiesim and Gillw - I think you're due, have you signed in to this thread yet? We need a graduate for this week.

OP posts:
Tex111 · 11/07/2004 12:18

Slink, sorry to hear AF arrived. How long have you been trying? Best of luck for next cycle and hope you enjoyed every single bite of those chocs.

Good luck Malinki, StaceyK may have a point there!

As for BDing every other night, I can't even imagine trying. DH gets up at 5 for work and doesn't usually get home until 7. I'm home with the two year old all day and usually up with him at least once in the night so we're both pretty tired. In fact, I think DH just wants to try for another baby so he's guaranteed sex for a while.

gothicmama · 11/07/2004 12:41

Beckyif have they tried diathermy for you yet it worked for me rather than go straight down ivf path - just an idea -

BeckiF · 11/07/2004 14:30

I weigh, and I hate saying it, 20 stone, although you wouldn't think it to look at me. I stuck with the Metformin for about 4 months and in conjunction with dietary shanges lost about 1 stone. We are going straight onto IVF cos df had a vasectomy reversed and his count is lower than they want for us to go for Clomid etc. ANyway, just the last two weeks I have stared an excercise prog, walking out for about an hour every nihgt, so I am trying to turn it all around! IVF is just waiting for me, I went in November to start but then decided I'd ike to lose some weight first. My gynae doc says that I should have a go at this weight though as there are plenty girls my size and bigger that have succesful pregnancies just as there are totally slim and 110% fit girls that sadly have probs. On a bit of an emotional downer and feeling sorry for myself at the mo anyway (not like me at all!)

Cyndii · 11/07/2004 15:10

Bluestar ~ I'm like you no doubt we all like that trying our best not to get our hopes but I find myself getting worked up and looking at dates. Had a huge fight with DH last night as he feels that he just doesn't want to perform the act (I thought men had no trouble with this) but he is in touch with his feminine side and maybe I'm like the male for a change I just want to do it just to do it for his sperm (Oh God what I'm I turning into). I'm not always but I know that yesterday was my last fertile date for this month and I don't want to loose the chance. When we BD (love that word BD ~ so cute ~ brilliant) during the past week and a half it was just for pleasure but yesterday was our first day during my peak (or what I think is my peak) that it could happen and he refused!! I went into one and boy was I upset!! Then it dawned on me even though I'm trying not to look at expected delivery dates thinking I was not getting too worked up but in reality I am extremely worked up and I know that come the 19th if I have my periods I will so disappointed...........blahhh hate this. On my first it "just happened" and DH feels thats the way it should be on no 2........... but I'm 4 years older this time round etc

Staceyk · 11/07/2004 15:47

To all those with PCOS there was an artical in Sunday Times, about herbal remedy The PCOS spagyric remedy, that I thought might be worth a go.
I'm going to try to do my first ever link now;
this

If link doesn't work just go to www.timesonline.co.uk/newspaper/0,,176-1157761,00.html

Staceyk · 11/07/2004 15:51

Wow I done it, very impressed so I can make a link, just shame I can#t make a baby!!

malinki · 11/07/2004 16:39

Well done Stacy, I've heard of people eating Yams before, is it a carribean thing, or african?? Anyway, I wondered if Tescos/Sainsburys sell wild yams maybe not) but anything to loose these 2.5 stones I have around my middle , I lost 0.5 stone by just having sex....

Staceyk · 11/07/2004 16:44

Malinki

That was some session!

Staceyk · 11/07/2004 16:46

Have you tested nyet Malinki? I'm still not convinced you had true AF.
