bisquick so so sorry. Thinking of you.

lightgreenglass · 19/02/2017 21:41

bisquick I'm so sorry for your loss, that must have been devastating and I can't comprehend myself how traumatic that must have been for you. Counselling definitely sounds like a good idea, I'm not sure of waiting times, would you be able to pay privately?

Bisquick · 19/02/2017 22:29

Thank you ladies. Slowly reading the thread and catching up with everyone's stories.

We haven't had a consultant appointment yet at the hospital. Another few weeks to go before my six week check with my GP. I also had a higher BMI at the start of the previous pregnancy, so was overweight and still am. Want to lose 6-7 kilos ideally before trying again. But will need to wait for abdominal muscles to knit back together before starting exercise.

And yes I think counselling will help too. Hoping to see a therapist this week privately. We were offered counselling via the hospital but I'd rather go back to someone I used to go to several years ago who was helpful then. debated it for a while but finally just emailed him for an appointment because I can tell I'm struggling at the moment.

Waterfeature · 19/02/2017 22:33

So very sorry bisquick. Words are really not enough.

fluffiny31 · 19/02/2017 22:55

Bisquick be kind to your self. Talking will definitely help I'm sending you hugs and Flowers as unfortunately words fail to express my sadness for you. Life is cruel xx

swimchick1980 · 20/02/2017 08:02

bisquick, I'm so sorry Flowers. Counselling definitely sounds like a good idea and particularly if you have someone you have already used and trust. Take the time you need and be kind to yourself. One of my ante natal friends has a some everyone the year before we had our DCs - a still birth at 38 weeks in her first pregnancy. She got pregnant again within 3 months - she was 40 at the time so I think she felt she has to but I suspect if not she would have left it a bit longer to help process and deal with what had happened.

swimchick1980 · 20/02/2017 08:08

My cheapo internet OPK was positive today so I've already jumped on DH once and plan to again later!

I had always thought that you should only do it every couple of days, particularly as DH has a low sperm count but when we went to the IVF clinic before MC or doctor said the more the better as it means the sperm keeps reproducing and is newer and stronger. DH didn't need to be told twice Grin

Waterfeature · 20/02/2017 09:40

Ooh, swimchick!

No early morning activity for us because DC are awake before us... We are now ignoring the "every other night" advice too. Another dazed but happy DH here...!

swimchick1980 · 20/02/2017 09:50

Haha, luckily DC is a lazy bones! Not helpful for trying to get her to nursery in the morning, but it has its benefits Wink.

DH working weird shifts this week so bed to try and take advantage today....

swimchick1980 · 20/02/2017 09:51

*need not bed.....Wink

AnneLovesGilbert · 20/02/2017 09:55

Morning everyone. I'm so terribly sorry for your loss Bisquick.

I'm in my fertile week, I think. What I thought was ovulating so soon after the last mc can't have been so I'm on CM and cervix watch this week, DTD every day and cracked open the baby lube again.

Buddah I can't believe how awful and disappointing your RMC apt was, I know how much you'd been looking forward to getting some answers and it's appalling you've been treated so badly and fobbed off. 10 weeks is BS. Is there anyone you can hassle to be seen sooner?

You're a braver woman than I sock. Massively proud of you for going to the shower and keeping it all together Flowers I've always loved a baby shower but pretty sure I couldn't do it now. Not when things are still so painful and raw.

How are you doing crazy? We're all in your corner!

Is anyone testing this week? Please can we have some good news soon Smile

WLMcI · 20/02/2017 10:25

Good morning all, sounds like some of you may have been ehem up-and-at-'im already so you're well ahead of me in accomplishments today! Grin Completely off-topic, but AnnelovesGilbert, I

AnneLovesGilbert · 20/02/2017 10:44

Thanks WLMcI Grin He was my first love.

Ooh, enjoy your hair appointment! Haven't had mine done properly since August. DH trimmed my fringe last night though.

Waterfeature · 20/02/2017 10:46

Seconded on dreamy Gilbert.

emily86 · 20/02/2017 10:49

Bisquick I am so sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine what you have been/are going through. I do hope you find some of the support you need here.

Gosh! Sounds like everyone is doing well on the DTD front. DH and I have come to Mull for a week to get away from everything. The weather is pretty crappy so lots of DTD opportunity but I think I ovulated earlier last week. I am having one of those months where I'm convinced we're going to be succesful however, it is most likely going to end in disappointment. AF isn't even due for another 11 days! ARGH!

WLMcI I hope you enjoy your pamper sesh.

AnneLovesGilbert · 20/02/2017 11:39

Enjoy your week emily, nothing like proper time together, reading, walking, cooking, eating, drinking (maybe?), shagging, sleeping, chatting. Lovely. I'm pea green! Is it the Mull of the song?

Had an absolutely exhausting few days with the DSC over half term, my god they're tiring, and now back at work and already had 2 annoying meetings.

Trying to focus on being healthy and relaxed, healthy and relaxed.... Lots of fruit and veggies, lunchtime walks, loads of water, remembering to breathe well, early nights. Really desperately need to get back on the yoga too.

AnneLovesGilbert · 20/02/2017 11:48

Hands off Water Wink

Lovers of the Megan Follows adaptation - did you know that Jonathan Crombie died last year? So sad Sad

emsler · 20/02/2017 11:48

Well, I think I'm out for this month - AF reared her ugly head on Friday at 11DPO though has been weirdly light, but I've spotted a few streaks of red in the brown so I'm pretty sure it's AF and not implantation. Gutted as I had properly convinced myself this month was our month!

Bisquick I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine how much pain you must be in. Sending all love.

emily FX for testing time! Have a wonderful rest of holiday whatever happens. Gorgeous.

Anne Well done on all your DTD!

AnneLovesGilbert · 20/02/2017 12:08

Shit bags emsler. What a disappointment, sorry love Flowers Have you had whatever your normal af symptoms are?

Waterfeature · 20/02/2017 12:12

At the ripe old age of 44, I'm sure I got to Gilbert first Anne Grin

Nimisha · 20/02/2017 12:16

Hi everyone, hope nobody minds if I Join.

I actually wrote a long post but managed to lose it before I posted.

I am off work following medical management of a blighted ovum miscarriage. I had no bleeding or anything, I had a private scan which showed an empty sac at 6 weeks 6 days then had the dreaded two week wait for a repeat scan in case my "dates were wrong". I'm feeling ok this morning, but yesterday I felt fine in the morning then very very dizzy in the afternoon so taking things easy. Did have a little cry at a newborn baby on the TV. Very positive pregnancy test this morning but its still early.

This is my second miscarriage, I had an ERPC in October for a mmc at 10 weeks (baby didn't survive past 7 weeks 3 days despite having a scan which showed a heartbeat.) I conceived 3rd cycle after the ERPC.
Its sad to see so many people in the same boat.

I'm 37,ttc number 3. I had two easy pregnancies with no losses before. I realized it was a case of stick or twist and I couldn't guarantee things would go straightforward this time.

I feel guilty about having time off work, only my manager knows the reason why. What if it happens again?

AnneLovesGilbert · 20/02/2017 12:26

Oh go on then Water, you can have him Grin Shame he didn't have an equally dreamy brother.

If this baby ever shows up and sticks I'm going to try and sneak Blythe into its name somewhere.

Hey Nimisha, so sorry for your losses Flowers

Medical management is really tough to go through so take the time you need to recover properly - body and mind. I'm sure your manager understands.

No one can say whether or not it'll happen to you again, we're all in that same crappy boat unfortunately. But what you can hold onto is that each new pregnancy has a far greater probably of surviving than failing, and that a new egg and a new sperm is a completely new start.

emsler · 20/02/2017 12:30

AnneLovesGilbert I have to say, it's been a very odd period - no cramps and SO slow to start - usually I'd have a heavier flow within a day or two and at least SOME cramping, even on a good month. BUT it is definitely heavier than implantation bleeding I had last time and it has streaks of red so I can only assume it is AF, just a weird one!

Nimisha So sorry to hear of your losses. Your MMC sounds very similar to mine - we saw a heartbeat at 8 weeks but baby was measuring very small and eventually scan showed the heartbeat had stopped at 11.5 weeks. Awful experience. We're now on our 4th (soon to be 5th!) cycle since the ERPC. So sorry you then suffered a blighted ovum - just awful and cruel.

Don't worry about work - your manager is the only person who can comment on your sick leave and they know the reason why.
