Anyone got any advice on how to STAY SANE when TTC after a MMC?!!! Got my period back on day 29 after first day of MC bleeding and ovulated this month and tried. Now waiting.... today which is day 19 of cycle, 6 days after peak on CB test and had the WORST nausea. It's taken me right back to the first trimester when I was pregnant. Then my hopes get all up and I think what if... we conceived the first month trying before MMC so not had the experience of getting period and disappointed. But know the nausea could be just hormones raging. Just feels weird. Like I more in turn with my body now. But anyway I'm rambling. Anyone with any advice about how to stay cool would be greatly appreciated. Or anyone feel nauseous after a mc after ovulation and NOT get BFP? Xx

Dear Friends, i am so sorry for all our losses and our grief.

I need your help. I am setting up a site called Missed Miscarriage - for those of us who so needed a place to meet and share - these forums have been a lifeline for me and i wanted to create a website for courage and hope for those who have gone through an MMC - and create one place where there are stories, resources and directions to forums like this. I need your help - please can you take a look at the home page we have designed - any ideas? Anything missing? And i am also looking for women to tell their story - in audio, on video and in words, to share with other women on the site.
Would you be up for helping me in this? Lets let other MMC women know they are not alone!

On my own journey, i am now 6 days post IUI with donor sperm( male factor). We got preg off our first IUI and then I mmc at 8 weeks. )

I made this TED talk about it too - maybe it will help some of you out there. My miscarriage had occurred two days before the talk.

anyway, message me if you can with your thoughts on the site!

Congratulations fluffy sock and put, all very exciting!!
I'm still waiting for some signs I might ovulate soon. I'm usually exactly a 28 days cycle so the not knowing what is going on is driving me a bit nuts. Just jumping DH every chance we get just to be on the safe side Grin

Sock an early scan won't take away the stress it will just ease your mind for a short time. I'm off to epu later just to check bloods and if they think ectopic they'll examine me. I'm hoping it's just normal cramping and I'm over reacting. But all they ever say is are you bleeding i never bled last time so I'm not using that to judge if there is a problem.

@NicolaC17 I'm in two minds about an early scan, what if I have one that says everything is ok, then it goes wrong after?

I feel like I am dream today, it doesn't seem real

keepon my strategy will be that I had a BFP last month that disappeared within days and by temps I definitely had a chemical pregnancy so no piss sticks for me during the TWW. :(
Hope everyone is doing well and humping their partners like there's no tomorrow! Grin

Congratulations sock it's a really weird feeling isn't it. I want to be happy and excited which i am but every twinge I'm thinking it's bad. Felt a bit sick yesterday and said to my partner i was actually happy feeling sick as i didn't get that last time. Hi cookie and nicola sorry that your here. Hi crazy fingers crossed for you. I was reading yesterday about the temp thing and how it works I'd probably get it so wrong if i had to so that. good luck there are plenty of swimmers in there. Wlmcl that's great advice. I'm think of taking up cross stitch again when little miss is in bed keep me occupied.

Welcome cookie and nicola. So sorry for your losses.

Congratulations sock! I hope it is a sticky one.

Good to hear from you crazy. Have you got a strategy for staying away from the piss sticks in the TWW? I've just entered fertile week too. Fortunately DH was recovered enough from his illness enough to DTD last night and should be able to get one more in before I have to go away for work tomorrow. That'll have to do for us this month unfortunately as I then won't see him again until Thursday night.

I'm determined to be a normal, rational, not thinking about it human being in this month's TWW. Who the hell am I kidding?! Also still managing your persevere with my reduced alcohol intake 2 weeks in. Just had 1 glass of wine last night.

Thanks Miami81. Funnily enough I have actually been having acupuncture and reflexology and I feel this has really helped me recover much quicker than any of my previous miscarriages. I am going to continue with them in the hope of a sticky BFP this month.

Congratulations theotherendofthesockportal. Will you get an early scan?

Thank you ladies. I'm still in a state of disbelief. I do feel different from my last pregnancy - have no idea if this is bad or good?

I'm going to hang around here with you ladies for a while, you have been my lifeline since January.

Congratulations sock.

I had a very faint BFP 6 days ago which has got stronger as the week has gone on. I'm still symptom checking and testing constantly, convinced I will have another missed miscarriage.
I've been working nights all week, which makes me emotional anyway, and has just added to the feeling of being completely overwhelmed.

Oh sockportal that's great news to wake up to! I hope this is a lucky one for you! I know it does little good saying "don't be terrified", but it might help to give yourself a few days of concentrating on relaxing. As we all know, there's little we can do at this stage except follow the rules, and the worrying does you no good. (This is a pot and kettle situation, as I have anxiety issues even without the head melt of being pg lol!) There's plenty of meditation/mindfulness stuff out there, from youtube meditations to walks in the country to arty things. It helps me to get really stuck into reading/studying a collection of poetry or something as well--a project to work on that occupies your brain fully and you get a bit of beauty out of it too. Hugs for you! x

Sorry for your loss and sorry to see you here. Unfortunately anything seems to be 'normal' in the cycles after mc. I have had two miscarriages, first time I feel like it took six months to get back to being fertile (cm & ov pains aligned etc) and that's when I fell for the second time. I am 3 cycles post second mc at the moment and just starting to feel normal now. I think some people recover very quickly and others not. Be patient with yourself. I ended up getting acupuncture which seems to have helped my body reset, but again this will be different for everyone. All the best with it and welcome to this board. We are all on very similar journeys.

Hi Ladies,

Hope it's ok to join this thread. I'm a month past my third pregnant loss in the last year. First was PUl, second missed miscarriage and third miscarriage or chemical pregnancy as i didn't make it to 5 weeks. Had some blood tests done at the RMC on Monday, although these will take 12 weeks before I get the results. Think we will TTC in the meantime as it's always taken us a few months.

So sorry to hear so many of you have been through such difficult times. I hope this year brings us all some better luck. Xx

CD28 here, no AF yet. I'm getting awful cramps but I don't know if it's potential-baby related or if it's the stress triggering IBS. Either way, it feels weirdly like contractions... 4 weeks is a little early for Braxton-hicks...!

I'm waiting until Monday to test at the earliest. I know I've conceived, I've had a week of very distinctive symptoms. This is my 5th pregnancy so I know how my body reacts! What I don't know yet is if it'll stick around. I used to test before AF was due but having seen 2 BFPs that became BFNs just a few days later, I'm going to hold out a bit! I may not get the courage to test until next weekend if AF hasn't arrived. Once I reach the 5w mark I may relax a little...

Hi,
I posted this on the MC board, but no replies yet (yes, I am inpatient, but also driving myself mad about this) I'm new to mumsnet (well, have been reading since got the BFP in november, but never posted)
I'm sorry this is long!
I had a MMC, confirmed 12 weeks ago, at around 8 weeks (but baby never got beyond about 3mm foetal pole). I had ERPC under GA 11weeks ago.
My problem is I have no idea what my cycle is doing. I had 1st period after 4 weeks, then my 2nd after 30 days, and on wednesday I started my 3rd (3 weeks later!) I thought I had some ovulation signs(EWCM) this month, but not as obvious as they were before pregnancy, & around CD12. This period came completely out of the blue, with no PMS signs, but was heavy bleeding on wednesday, but nothing since.
Before all this my cycles were 25 days, my period lasted 4-5 days. Since ERPC they have lasted about 3-5 days, and were much lighter, although started HEAVY. I was weepy 2 days before the last one, but like I said, no signs this month.
I REALLY want to get preg again, I am turning 39 later in the year, the MC was my 1st pregnancy.
Has anyone had similar weirdness after a MC. Can it take a while for my ovaries to restart, or can my luteal period change completely? I'm really worried that they have decided to shut down and do things stupidly.
Is there any point in my going to my doctor yet?

Yes harriet I'm going to test on Tuesday as long as AF is a no-show! I was going to wait for Wed but I won't have a chance to buy the test that day, and I know that once it's bought it'll be used immediately! We haven't been trying in this cycle (mc happened exactly 4 weeks ago) but there's a possibility as I felt as though I was ovulating around the times we DTD (in the baby-making way) ;)
