How is everyone else feeling today, ladies? DH and I just put an offer in for a house (our first!) so now I'm not sure if my "symptoms" are imaginary, pregnancy, or stress!

theotherendofthesockportal · 15/02/2017 12:54

Congratulations @88Claire - such exciting news.

AnneLovesGilbert · 15/02/2017 13:18

That's amazing emsler, congratulations! We bought our first house together last year, it's been wonderful. Hope you get it!

Having said I always know when I'm ovulating hence no OPK, I am 80% sure I'm ovulating now. Haven't poas again so not if it's all gone but will do later. If it wasn't so freakishly early I'd be sure it was all in my head.

Weird.

But had an excellent night and feeling a million times better BlushGrinWineGrin

emsler · 15/02/2017 13:37

Anne Ooh, fingers crossed for a nice LH surge for you later on! And very glad you're making the most of your time with lots of Wine and maybe a wee bit of Wink!

Just waiting to hear back from the estate agent - argh!

DontBuyANewMumCashmere · 15/02/2017 13:50

Hello all
Congratulations Claire that lovely.
I went to EPU this morning, confirmed it's a MC (no, really?!!) and said we'll try conservative management for two weeks. I really hope it comes out in this time.

Fx to everyone going through all this stuff.

user1480930113 · 15/02/2017 14:01

Aww congratulations Claire! Can I ask did you have a natural MC or ERPC?

Congrats on the new house too!

I'm going to see Fifty Shades with the girls tonight and going for a curry! Will be the most action I've had in a while Grin

Going to test again at the weekend, hoping to get a negative...oh the irony!

88claire · 15/02/2017 14:17

Thanks *User
*
I had a natural MC and luckily didn't need any intervention.

Fingers massively crossed for the weekend!

user1480930113 · 15/02/2017 14:32

Thanks! I tested last weekend and it was horrible still seeing the positive. It seems as though it takes longer for the hormones to leave your body if you had medical intervention. I'm desperate to get trying again!

AnneLovesGilbert · 15/02/2017 14:35

Thanks emsler, the bleeding mostly tailed off Monday so I think it's probably way way too early and maybe things are still settling down in there.

Do ovaries know what's going on in your uterus?

With a previous mc I definitely ovulated 3 days after the bleeding stopped and caught again. But that was an earlier one and I had a bfn before the bleeding stopped.

Oh well, only time will tell! And maybe it's a numbers game. I juts need to keep conceiving till one of the blighters sticks.

Super good luck with the house. Did it have a nice feeling about it? We knew when we walked up the path to view ours. We've gutted it and it now looks completely different, but the feeling is the same. Sometimes you just know.

Thinking of you Cashmere, hope it happens quickly and as painlessly as possible. Take whatever pills you can get your hands on if you need to. I got something epic you put up your bum. High as a kite for about 12 hours when I had bad cramping. Hopefully you won't need anything strong but ask if you do.

Enjoy user! Smile

noroomonbroom · 15/02/2017 15:11

Well this is the gift that keeps on giving.
Have retained products.
Can't even miscarry properly.
Feel better for having a rant though.

Owl1011 · 15/02/2017 15:26

Thanks ladies who replied, it's good to know that we can start TTC again after AF arrives, (missed the boat this month).

Congratulations Claire! Fingers crossed everything will go smoothly for you, I'm sure it will!

Noroom hope you're doing ok and rant away! I'm sure it'll all settle down soon and your body will be back to normal. I had to have an ERPC after my body did absolutely nothing trying medical management, not even a twinge!

Waterfeature · 15/02/2017 15:26

Oh, poor you noroom. I had that with my first MC. I didn't see it as failing (more) but just that my body didn't want to give it up. I felt a whole lot better, physically, when it was sorted out. (They did it then and there.) Will you need surgery?

AnneLovesGilbert · 15/02/2017 15:59

I had exactly the same thoughts noroom. Like Water and owl I completely flunked two attempts at medical management and ended up with an MVA. Berated myself for being crap at pregnancy and equally crap at miscarrying. But Water is right, sometimes your body just isn't ready to let go. Also, sometimes biology is just a bitch. I had an internal scan in theatre at the end of the procedure so I left knowing it was all completely gone, and I'd stopped bleeding the next morning.

What have they suggested?

noroomonbroom · 15/02/2017 16:21

Will have an MVA tomorrow afternoon.
Thankyou Water.Am trying to think that this is a sign it wasn't a problem with me that ended the pregnancy.
It just seems to be never ending.4weeks difference in dates and now 3 weeks on from mc.
Just hoping to be back in the game now.Hopefully will be like Anne and in with a shout for March.Could poss still have a baby this year.

AnneLovesGilbert · 15/02/2017 16:33

Have they told you what to expect? I had one in October so ask away if there's anything you want to know.

I was in and out in half an hour and my DH was with me till they wheeled me into surgery and waiting there in the cubicle when I got back, which was brilliant.

I had a bad case of the shakes from the local anaesthetic which I wasn't warned about. Not sure if it's a common side effect. But I shook for about 2 hours afterwards. Ask if they'll do a scan when it's over so you know it's all clear.

Take warm comfy layers to put on for going home afterwards.

Holding your hand and will be thinking of you lots.

WLMcI · 15/02/2017 16:40

Hi guys, I've been creeping on the thread and would like to throw in my lot with you folks. I recognise a few very lovely ladies from the antenatal thread we were previously on and it's amazing the support you all offer!

I had a mmc at 10 weeks (growth stopped at 8 weeks), which was diagnosed when I went to A&E last Wednesday and got the scan on Thursday. Then Saturday I woke up with it all happening, which was bloody and painfulif you didn't know you were pregnant and miscarrying you'd have thought you were dyingbut it was at least fast. DH was amazing, sat with me while I was on the floor shaking and writhing and vomiting and cried with me when I was stunned to see it all pass. This awful experience has brought us so close and I realise how much I can rely on him. Sunday morning scan at EPU confirmed that my body has efficiently removed everything and it all looks healthy. The bleeding has pretty much stopped now and I'm so relieved it's over quickly. But I'm still absolutely exhausted and have all sorts of tummy twinges/indigestion/dizziness, so I've called off another few days of work (did a half day yesterday and that was a mistake).

This was my first pregnancy so it's rotten luck, but as the doctor explained each one is separate and there's no reason to think it lowers the chances of my next pregnancy being healthy. That helps, and so do you all! I understand now about wanting to conceive again straight away. The thought of physically DTD right now makes me shudder given my current condition, but I know soon we'll get "back on the horse" as DH so charmingly puts it :D

So anyway, that's me. Stay tuned for my next novel...Flowers

noroomonbroom · 15/02/2017 17:03

Thanks for the heads up on the shakes. Will be on my own,dp will be looking after the dc.
Not to worried about pain.Have done childbirth will no pain relief ( not planned that way,no stealth boast,ds was in a hurry)
Just looking at poss complications and panicking.Stats don't seem to be in my favour at the moment.
But telling myself doing nothing is more risky?!
Thankyou for your kind words.
This is a rubbish boat to be in but the support on here is awesome.

Owl1011 · 15/02/2017 17:27

Noroom i also had the shakes badly but mine were delayed by 48 hours (ERPC under GA on the Friday, felt fine all weekend then it hit me like a tonne of bricks on the Sunday night). I made sure I took plenty of time off work and that really helped get me back to near normal, I also had headaches badly for about a week after but put that down to changing hormone levels. If it helps my advice I'd be kind to yourself and listen to your body and what it needs for recovery

Waterfeature · 15/02/2017 18:03

I was on my own after ERPC and it was fine. Nurses were kind and there was a bit of sisterly chat with the other women on the ward. I had some podcasts to listen to which was good as I was too woozy to read. I was worried about complications as well but they are v v rare.

Crazyvaperlady · 15/02/2017 18:16

noroom so sorry it's had to come to that, must be horrible... I've done 2, yes TWO tests today and am convinced that I can see the faintest little line which won't show up on pictures however :( hoping FMU will.show it more clearly tomorrow if it's actually there!

emily86 · 15/02/2017 18:32

So sorry you've got to have an ERPC noroom.

Welcome WLMcI. Sorry you're here.

I think I'm losing the plot and I'm not even in the TWW yet! Had EWCM yesterday but DH wasn't feeling well and I'm out all evening and staying at a friends so stressing that that's this month wasted as haven't DTD since Sunday morning. Just managed to resist buying any tests in the supermarket. If I haven't got any, I can't pee on them.

On another note, my best friend had her dating scan today. I genuinely enjoyed seeing her pic and feeling happy and excited with her. It was nice to prove to myself that I can do it and am not just a miserable old cow all the time these days!

fluffiny31 · 15/02/2017 19:47

Whats an mva?
Crazy I keep checking in to see if you've done another test my fingers are crossed. My bleeding has finally stopped. Just need af to show then can ttc..

No room did baby measure 4 weeks behind before he/she died I only ask because my peanut measured 3 half weeks behind before he died but my dates weren't wrong.

Crazyvaperlady · 15/02/2017 20:01

Fluffy wish I'd had the restraint to wait for first AF, me and OH DTD the night my bleeding stopped and every other night since.

noroomonbroom · 15/02/2017 20:14

fluffiny31mva is basically erpc under local.
Really can't spare the recovery time of a general.Have 3 under 5's so seemed like the best option.Need to be at full speed once home.
Dp is great but littlies don't understand.
Baby was bang on for dates when s/he died.Unfortunately I didn't find til 4 weeks later.
That's also been a bit of a kick in the teeth had I gone to the epu when I first had spotting this whole thing could have been over a month ago.Convinced myself that as long as it was just spotting everything was ok.
Also had I gone back for a follow up scan sooner could have been over a fortnight ago.
Sorry that was a bit epic.
Just wallowing in the thought of missed chances.
crazyhoping you get good news am really heartened each time someone on this thread gets good news am with emily that it's good to know that we can be happy for other people again.

fluffiny31 · 15/02/2017 20:25

Crazy I don't want to wait but I'm going to just to give my body a bit of time to recover as my pregnancy will be high risk anyway so don't want to push my luck.

Noroom my baby measured 8 weeks but died between 11 and 12 weeks I had a private scan at 11w because I thought something was wrong he measured 7w5d but my dates were right. So for some reason he didn't Grow properly. I didn't have the option of being awake. And I get you about missed chances. I feel this time I ovulate will be wasted but going to give my body chance to heal. And then just see what happens. It's hard because I know I'll put pressure on myself because I caught first time with both pregnancies and I have a feeling I won't this time. Hope surgery goes OK for you. I also don't get any follow ups unless I have a positive test after 3 weeks. This is week 2.
