Hello there

Is there anyone else on here trying for their first baby around the same age as me? 25/26? Would love to talk to someone about it as I am currently driving my husband mad with all the TTC chat!

Oops that was deffo supposed to be misty 😉

MistyBxx · 20/02/2017 09:47

I know what you mean. If it had been last month or the month before, I was saying to people 'oh I don't think it's my month' but I was secretly clinging on to a bit of hope lol but this time, I dtd 3 times out of the whole overlapping of 2 apps fws, once properly on the first day of the first fw, once 2 days before ov (but it was a 'dry' one on hubs part 😡) and once properly the day after I think I ov'd. And that's it! I never got a positive opk all the way through, most I got was a squinted and that was almost gone by yesterday. My second app's fw ends tomoz but I'm away tonight and I do feel if I ovulated, it was last thurs when I had the pains and lots of ewcm. So the chances are of a swimmer holding on 4 days for the egg or the egg living long enough to be met a whole 24 hrs after ov are slim to none 😐
So I really am genuine when I say this isn't a productive cycle lol.
Oh well, off to kings of leon gig today! Hope everyone's having a nice Monday. Love not being in work today 😊
So who is first/next to test and when? I've got some high hopes for this thread, you're all lush and I've got my FX for some baby dust!!x

tuxie11 · 20/02/2017 11:45

Enjoy your gig! I guess if you look at the positives, you know what could be done better, so if you do that that BFN at least you know where you can change things. Better than having a BFN and doing it all to plan?

I think I'm the next to test 😳 AF is due on 23rd so I think I'll probably test on the Friday as my DH works away and wants to be here when we do. That's all permitting that AF doesn't arrive on Thursday anyway 🤞🏻

ttcnovice · 20/02/2017 13:14

Enjoy the gig Misty Smile

Fx for Friday tuxie 🤞🏼

Day 4 of "high" readings for me today and no sign of a "peak". I'm getting knackered from all the DTD now, has been at least once (but mostly twice) for the past 5 days in a row! Scared to miss a day though in case the next day is O day.

Marie90 · 20/02/2017 15:36

I'm V. Confused! I was pretty sure I ovulated on Saturday or just before.. yet I've got more ewcm today! I should be in the tww according to apps etc. Can you produce it even though you're not ovulating? Is my body just messing with me as it knows I'm overanalyzing all this stuff now lol 🙈

According to Clue and ovia, AF is due 3rd March (I think that's pretty similar to a few of you ladies on here)!

Sending you positive vibes for Friday tuxie11

charl19 · 20/02/2017 15:53

Fx tuxie for Friday - hope you start the baby train ☺️🤞🏼

Twistedsister7 · 20/02/2017 15:54

Fx for Friday tuxie

Marie a lot os us do seem similar time wise. I'm a bit confused re ovulation this month too as I had few OPKs & thought I ovulated but then another tiny amount of ewcm, I'm sticking with my ovulation date though.

I bought two FRERs today. Tempted to test Friday but trying to talk myself down as af not due til 1st.

tuxie11 · 20/02/2017 16:18

Thank you for your 🤞🏻Lovely ladies positive vibes being throw right back at ya all!

Marie, I have read some PG ladies getting similar EWCM so perhaps you can get it? Did you have any prescise pains or other signs you O on that day?

mrsjkerry · 20/02/2017 17:27

Twisted I'd hold out longer than Friday as you could end up with a BFN and end up feeling really crappy about it just because it's too early!

I've had a terrible 24 hours. Husband and I had huge fight yesterday evening. He stormed off into the spare room, before coming to our bed saying "don't see why I should be put out". Argument continued long into the night. I've hardly had any sleep and we haven't spoken at all today. It's one of those arguments where you seriously think 'what did I do marrying you'. The stress and misery can't be good for my TTC chances.

OP posts:
tuxie11 · 20/02/2017 18:35

Mrsj sorry for your argument. Hopefully you can sort things out and take some time to relax - I'm not quite sure how much stress will affect but if it's v early days hopefully no. Hopefully it's just sitting away dividing and dividing!

Twistedsister7 · 20/02/2017 19:46

MrsJ sorry to hear about your argument.** Hopefully it will blow over. Could emotions be high due to ttc?

I will really try to hold off testing.

mrsjkerry · 20/02/2017 20:05

Hopefully. Could stress affect a fertilising egg implanting? I think it could. Something due to the stress hormone??

Is it just me or does anyone else have a "I've made a mistake" moment when arguing with their husband?? That sounds terrible..

OP posts:
ttcnovice · 20/02/2017 20:14

Sorry to hear that mrsj Sad I think the stress of TTC is probably adding to it all for you, it's a difficult time when things aren't going to plan as you thought they would. I haven't ever had one of those mistake moments, I know DH is perfect for me, but I do think I've been a bit snappier with him the last few months so it does definitely effect things! How are things now between you, have you spoken at all yet? Flowers for you xx

Marie90 · 20/02/2017 20:37

tuxie11 I had the usual ovulation pains Friday/Saturday so 90% sure it was then. If I have a bfn this month then I'll be investing in some OPKs next month!

Mrsjkerry try not to worry about whether stress will affect your chance of conceiving... It'll only make you feel more stressed and get you stuck in a vicious cycle!
I'm really sorry you're going through a rough patch with your DH... I have definitely found that my tensions are running higher than normal this month and it's only our first cycle. I've been pretty snappy with my oh (sometimes he's deserved it, sometimes he hasn't lol)! I can only imagine how stressed you are feeling on c4, even though you are doing everything right!
Try and take time to relax, talk to your dh about how you are feeling, and how he is making you feel, keep your chin up, and focus on the fact that at the end of this crazy process you will have an amazing child! (And then if he's still pissing you off you are well within your rights to throw a baby book at him) 😂

Sending you a massive hug, and I've got my Fx that this month is your month! Flowers

mrsjkerry · 20/02/2017 21:10

Thank you everyone. Yes we have patched things up and we are fine, as we always are. Definitely underneath everything is the stress that it's been so many cycles now and I just want to get a BFP!!

Lots of you ladies may have already seen this article as it's on mumsnet, but I thought I'd share it as it perfectly sums up the TTC journey in a non judgemental, informative, 'everyones in the same boat' kind of way!

Worth a read if you have a spare 5 mins or, like me, are trying to avoid Googling '2 days post Ov pregnancy symptoms!' 😂

tuxie11 · 20/02/2017 22:59

Just read this out to DH - so brilliant! don't worry Marie, I'll be on the 12DPO google search in the am Wink

mrsjkerry · 21/02/2017 08:25

I am 5DPO. Symptom spotting like mad. Anyone else??

OP posts:
MissMango100 · 21/02/2017 08:37

Me. I'm 8DPO. Unfortunately....I haven't spotted any!

ttcnovice · 21/02/2017 10:28

Morning everyone!

Bit stressed out/confused here. Had yet another flashing smiley "high" reading on the CB OPKs rather than a solid "peak" reading. That's day 5 of highs, when last cycle I got the peak after just 2 days of high. Quite worried that I'm not going to ovulate at all this month as it's getting quite late on in the cycle now (CD15). If I'm only ovulating every other month then it's going to take double the time to conceive Sad. Feeling like it will never happen now.

mrsjkerry · 21/02/2017 12:46

So someone on maternity leave has brought their 5 week old baby in today. Everywhere I look these days there are babies and pregnancies!!!

OP posts:
tuxie11 · 21/02/2017 13:18

ttc how many cycles have you been OPK-ing? I'm not very well researched on it but maybe there is a pattern? Don't be dis heartened, keep doing it, perhaps it's just taking a while longer this cycle. 🤞🏻 For you, and sending some positive thoughts to you. What does your CM say?

Marie90 · 21/02/2017 13:22

Is anyone on here sporty? If so are you giving up your sport whilst TTC? Or when you're PG? Are there any guidelines on playing sport when TTC? Confused

tuxie11 · 21/02/2017 13:44

marie - I go to the gym 3/4 times a week. I've just been doing things lighter, not pushing the cardio too much, lighter weights but I have stopped all ab workouts for the time being. I think it's good for you to stay as active as possible Smile

mrsjkerry · 21/02/2017 15:05

I go to the gym every morning before work. I have been running at a much slower pace. I am cancelling my personal training sessions this week as they are intense and he always finishes them with 200 abs. So I'm still exercising, just not as hard.
