Is there anyone else on here trying for their first baby around the same age as me? 25/26? Would love to talk to someone about it as I am currently driving my husband mad with all the TTC chat!

You could get it as you normally would. Though you may not get a withdrawal bleed if you finished early as not everyone does. I'd just have unprotected sex anyway as you could still get pregnant and then wait for your first period to come. Meanwhile test for ovulation!

three/four days late lots of backach and cramps on one side and one boob has ben sore one and of so hoping AF will visit to night and i can get on track ttc

Period due tomorrow. Another negative this evening. Might have to accept this month is not my month :(

5 days late still the same pre AF symptoms hopfully will turn up tonight

Im trying lol but knowing that once AF is here and done with we will be ttc makes it hard to be patient

I got my period late yesterday so definitely onto cycle 2 now. Ovulation occurs around 14 days from the start of your period, not from the end. If you count the first day of bleeding as CD1, ovulation usually happens around CD12-18.

Hello! Im 30 and ttc #1. Been off the mini pill for 13 days. So far had all the symptoms that af is coming and yet nothing. Infuriating after spotting quite often when ON the pill haha. Had positive opk last friday but then bad cramping for two days. Going to the loo 10x more often just to check af hasnt started...going mental already. Haha

Btw, and tmi, but my nipples are super sore. Never had that before. Or atleast i cant remember (last period being 12+ years ago!) goodluck ladies

It's my first time TTC at the grand old age of 38!
I was with my husband for 13yrs who strongly didn't want children...now with my new DP who's 40 and we have both discovered we'd actually love to have a baby together.
We moved in together a month ago and I stopped taking the pill 2wks ago and already had a bleed.
We have sex 2-3 times a day usually (he works 4 on/4 off) so don't see each other every day.
Hoping to keep it all casual if possible and just enjoy each other whilst hoping for the best without the pressure of testing/tracking/charting!

Good luck everyone! I hope your periods all come soon for those waiting from the pill. Mine took about 4 weeks and then I had two more periods only 2-3 weeks apart. Although my cousin recently came off the pill and couldn't understand why she hadn't had a bleed after 4 weeks... BFP! Lucky bugger I'm CD16 now. Ovulated on Friday on CD13 so just waiting out the 2 weeks.

Oh yes of course about the ovulation. Silly me. I test everyday when I'm supposed to be ovulating but have never had a positive so far...I assume I am ovulating at some point as I did have a natural period last month. Good luck everyone trying this cycle - I'll take one more test tomorrow to be doubly sure as that's the day my period is actually due but otherwise looks like it's cycle three for me as well!

Ironically mine didn't come today so is therefore late. Test first thing this morning was still negative so I am impatiently waiting for period to come so I can try again!

Well my DP works away but is home Friday-Monday (apparently my ovulation day should be Sunday but that's just a guess!)
So we'll be spending the weekend curled up in bed!

Took another test as now a week late but again negative but again wasnt expecting anything else lol

im not really stressed abit frustrated as this is the cycle we are going to start ttc and cant untill AF turns up

Yes very always! Both of our families have had a difficult 18months - 2 years. Even our wedding was a little overshadowed by illness and death. So it is very lovely to have something to look forward to.

I understand your frustration. AF actually arrived early for me last time which was a bit of a shock!!

im always spot on to the point i can plan my next months in advance lol

I was so excited until I realised it was going to take more than one cycle and the waiting is so frustrating! Determined to get it right next time :D

Can I join too?! We're trying in early Jan (want 2 regular cycles off pill and 3 months of folic acid first) so excited and it's so hard having to wait! Poas to check ovulation and so far so good! Af due 24/25th so we will see if I really am on track I guess you could say we're trying but not, only using proper contraception around the danger times and more erhm primaries methods the rest of the time so I guess you never know!
