Hello there

Is there anyone else on here trying for their first baby around the same age as me? 25/26? Would love to talk to someone about it as I am currently driving my husband mad with all the TTC chat!

Hopefully will be seeing you on the pregnancy threads soon! Although I'm not having a great month, not enough dtd, negative opks, overlapping fw's lol it's all not quite going to plan!
But I will be having a break next month anyway and then trying again properly in April. God that sounds so scary, will have been off the pill 8 months by then 😳

I've got my fingers and toes crossed for you mrsjkerry !! You deserve that BFP so much! It'd be nice if we all catch up in the pregnancy threads when we do get our BFPs!

MistyBxx I'm a Wales girl too and I have to admit, I've thought that we'd be better off with a September/October or April/may wedding as weather seems to be so much better than the middle of the summer! Mind you, I wouldn't be against throwing in a pair of wellies and walking down the aisle if need be!!
I'd love to read your blog! I can imagine that when my head isn't completely taken over by TTC then I'll become obsessed with weddings! You sound like you're so busy with work and blogging... I'm impressed you have time to DTD! 😄

I'd trust your body over the apps too like tuxie11 said if I'm honest! It's not going to hurt to keep DTD for longer than your FW... At least you'll be covering all bases then!

Yes I really hope you aren't far behind me! You never know. Lots of friends who thought the worst month of trying was their lucky month! I'm sure someone was saying they fell pregnant when they only DTD once a week before ovulation!

Well marie if you're a Welsh bride to be, head on over to Cwtch The Bride which is a Welsh wedding blog and where my blogging career began!! I'm one of the guest bloggers on there but I'm a bit scared now in case by some freak chance we know eachother... I know wales is a big place (well not huge... but you know what I mean) but everyone on here pretty much knows my sex life now and what I'm looking for in my knickers 😩😂 so that's all I will say, there's loads of Welsh bride guest blogs on there so I'm hoping I won't out myself! Everyone on here seems lush but you'll have a face to put to the cervical mucus lol and that could be a little awks 🙃 but Cwtch The Bride is amazing for Welsh brides! Ps, I don't work for them, I'm not shamelessly plugging, I don't get paid haha just loved writing for them and they're a fantastic blog! Well til I publish my own that is haha.
Tummy pains are still there tonight, but can't get the negative opks out of my head! Just about to eat tea (we eat so late at night!) and hubby is home from work so let's see what this evening brings!

I reckon tummy pains in FW should be a sign of ovulation right?! Maybe it's a dodgy pack of OPKs? Enjoy your eve either way!!

Hi misty I have also had mild cramps and even slight nausea today which I am putting down to ovulation. I have never really noticed this before, but I guess with my increased TTC attempts I am paying more attention to my body.

Loved reading everyone's stories of how they met their DH, I love things like that .

mrsj I really don't know how you find the time for all that DTD being a teacher . My MIL is a teacher and after watching how many hours she puts in after work each night, I really take my hat off to you! If you don't get your BFP this month then I don't know how any babies are ever conceived!

I had another "low" reading on my CB OPK this morning, only on CD10 but had a "high" on this day last cycle. Have DTD twice today so hopefully I'll get a high tomorrow, or I might end up resorting to sending DH on another CM-finding expedition up there .

Morning girlies!! Sex alert! Yay!! Haha. Dtd about an hour ago!! Oh how my Friday mornings have changed... instead of updating my Facebook with a generic TFI Friday status, I log on to tell a group of strangers I've had sex with my husband 😂😂😂
Today is the day after ovulation according to Clue, and 4 days before ovulation according to Ovia, but I had tummy pains yesterday and ewcm from Monday-Wednesday so I tend to believe Clue... meaning that if my egg popped out yesterday morning when the pains began, it's pretty much 24 hours now soooo I'm just praying that the lil egg hasn't disappeared before this morning's swimmers find it 😩 only time will tell.
I will keep dtd as much as I can over the weekend but I'm away Monday night (Ovia's predicted ov day!)
Opk still all negative but will carry on testing just to see if there's any change.

Glad you managed to finally DTD this morning! And hopefully around the right time too 🤞🏻I DTD three times yday. Would have also liked to do one this morning but forgot I had a gym session booked for 8AM. Oh well. Keeping healthy is all part of it I suppose! After today I officially begin my 2WW. Waiting with baited breath after my efforts this month...

I got a "high" OPK reading this morning so hopefully that will turn into a "peak" over the next couple of days. Will be DTD as much as possible over the weekend, DH is actually off both days for once so I think a whole weekend staying in is in order .

The 2ww is a pain in the arse but I'm not counting myself in that until Wednesday next week coz that's when my Ovia fw ends so kind of cheating coz my Clue fw ends today and I do physically feel I ovulated yesterday so... who bloody knows lol 😂

Wow, sounds like everyone has been have a very productive 24 hours! Mrsjkerry I am in awe... 3x last night! I'd be unable to walk the next day! I've got my Fx that all your hard work pays off and you get your BFP this month!

According to clue I'm ovulating today but don't feel any pain (even before we started TTC I would get ovulation pain so I knew roughly when it was happening), and no ewcm...I'm convinced it happened a day or so ago.

Ovia has given me a 10 score today though too... I'm guessing that means today's the day?! I'm definitely convincing the oh to DTD tonight though...Just incase it's all right and my body is being sneaky!!

I know I said I wouldn't but im definitely getting my hands on some OPKs next month if this month is a bfn! If only just to put my mind at ease!

Feeling confused.

On the left are my OPKs for the last few days. On the right is my OPK for today. Today's reading is definitely not as strong as yesterday's, but it's also not as weak as the first one four days ago. Does this mean I have already ovulated? Or is there a chance I am still yet to ovulate??

Mrsj I'd say you ovulated (or will ovulate) at some point today based on yesterday's positives. Today's is getting fainter so it looks like your LH surge is over, but I think it goes down gradually rather than all at once. That would explain why it's still quite strong anyway!

I suppose my question is: does your LH surge start going down before you ovulate? Or, does it only start going down after you have ovulated. Can't seem to find any answers!

I agree! The surge happens right BEFORE ovulation doesn't it? So if it was strongest yesterday, I'd say today's the day!

I've had more ewcm today, been noticing it all week, had it mon, tues and weds for sure, didn't notice any yesterday (which was meant to be my ov day) then it's back again today.
I hadn't seen any ewcm for about 3 cycles, I had started thinking I don't make any 😩 so the fact I've had some is good right?

But if I was meant to have ov'd yesterday, how long does ewcm last?

If I had to guess I'd say it's only after ovulation, but I'm not sure by any stretch of the imagination! Why can't TTC be simple

Ok so according to doctor google, when you get your LH surge, ovulation will take place 24-36 hrs AFTER this. So if you had your strongest reading yesterday I'd guess you'd ovulate today or tomoz. It doesn't say anything about when it goes back down, but I would concentrate on when it was highest rather than when it drops again, I don't think the drop is that relevant other than to identify when your highest day was. So if you've noticed it's gone down, your highest surge was yesterday meaning that you're in the 24-36 hours regardless of the fact it's dropping again, you've had your surge... if that makes any sense 😂

Also found this... which has confused me. I've had the egg white all week except thurs (but not masses of it, and not actually hugely stretchy thinking about it, well, not enough to be obviously stretchy, but clear and stretchy-ish, if you know what I mean)
So I'm wondering does that mean I'm actually yet to ovulate? Because yesterday I was sure I was! But my body is hell of a fibber so I'm not actually sure of anything lol

Thanks all for the advice! I have DTD just now so finger's crossed! I'm wondering why I failed to get a BFP last month as I DTD the day I got my positive OPK and the day after. But this actually explains it. If I ovulated 48 hours after the positive OPK, then I may have missed it. Really hoping this month there's enough up there!! Haha

Misty I don't think it has to be mega stretchy. Just clear. I think what your describing sounds consistent with having ovulating around when you think you did. I.E the end of this week, yesterday etc.
