Hello there

Is there anyone else on here trying for their first baby around the same age as me? 25/26? Would love to talk to someone about it as I am currently driving my husband mad with all the TTC chat!

Morning everyone, how are we all getting on? Anyone else with a positive OPK yet?

Got my "peak" reading on the CB dual hormone test today, so it's been a relief to know that I am actually ovulating. Just need to DTD again today and tomorrow and then it's into the loooong tww again!

88claire · 24/01/2017 16:53

Good news TTC

Fingers crossed it turns into a BFP!

My lines are still faint and washed out so I've either ovulated massively early as they were darker before, my hormones are going haywire, I'm still yet to ovulate (most likely choice) or I just won't this cycle. I've heard that's quite common after a MC.

mrsjkerry · 24/01/2017 18:26

TTC - I am similar. In 2WW just hope we dtd enough.

Thanks claire Smile keeping my fingers crossed for you that it's one of either ovulating early or late, rather than not at all. Would be lovely to see you get a BFP this month!

mrsj it certainly looks like you had a fun FW Grin. When is AF due for you now? My app is predicting the 9th for me, but as I'm ovulating quite early I'm expecting AF early too now (or not at all hopefully!).

mrsjkerry · 24/01/2017 22:35

Ovia says 9 days until I can test, but period is due in about 12 days..!

OP posts:
ttcnovice · 24/01/2017 23:15

Do you think you'll hold out on testing mrsj or test as soon as you can? I'm dithering on what to do this month!

88claire · 24/01/2017 23:24

Fingers and toes crossed MrsJ.

TTC thank you! Me too but I won't be too upset if It doesn't happen this cycle. My body is probably too busy adjusting. I'll go for it full throttle next cycle Smile

mrsjkerry · 25/01/2017 08:04

TTC I always want to hold off but never can! I'll wait until the day my period is due I guess because it's usually bang on time...! And I've wasted so much money on early ones just so I can have a look a day or two early.

OP posts:
88claire · 25/01/2017 08:17

Quick question... Does this look like I could be about to ovulate? The OPK is significantly darker today than yesterday (not quite as dark as the control but very almost there). I'm rubbish at decidering these things!

Thanks ladies. Hope everyone is well today!

Mrsjkerry

Did you manage to hold off testing or did you cave? I've got a load of cheapies to satisfy my POAS habit 😂 I just can't help it!

mrsjkerry · 25/01/2017 17:44

Claire - I have no idea about body temp as I don't check for that myself. It's a step too complicated for me!! If your line is darker I'd DTD and cover all bases!

As for my test. No, I'm only four days out of my fertile window so will be miles too early to check! About this time next week is when Ovia suggests I can take an early response one, but my period isn't due for a few days after that. Longest two weeks ever 😢

OP posts:
MistyBxx · 25/01/2017 18:25

MrsKerry sounds like our cycles are similar! I'm 4 days out too and test not allowed til about 6th Feb! Wish I could just sleep til then! I've got a friend's birthday on sat 4th so I'm defo gonna test that morning with an early one coz it will obviously determine whether I drink that night or not 😂

ttcnovice · 25/01/2017 18:52

Another one here with no idea on temps sorry claire! With my limited knowledge though, your temperature line rising is a good sign I think?!

mrsjkerry · 25/01/2017 19:19

Misty- we will have to keep each other updated. Fingers crossed for the 4th!! Please let us know...

I am feeling massively pessimistic this month. In all previous months I've always entertained the possibility of being pregnant, and been excited, but this month I can't help feeling 'what's the point; it'll be negative anyway'!

OP posts:
MistyBxx · 25/01/2017 19:46

MrsKerry, you HAVE to stay positive!! I'm all for trying not to symptom-spot and just going with the flow, but whether you believe you 'can' or believe you 'cant' you're probably right! (Law of attraction... google it!) obviously I'm not saying convince yourself you're gonna get bfp and then be disappointed but don't let yourself feel down chick.
I will defo keep you posted. I confused my opk lines and also managed to mis-time my FW by looking at 2 diff apps this month lol so my chances are pretty low! my options are:

  1. I've either dtd 6 days before ov day
  2. Dtd the night before ov day (I hope!)
  3. Dtd 3days before and 1day after ov day
Lol So I'm expecting af but refusing to feel down about it 😳 but I do know it's hard!
mrsjkerry · 25/01/2017 21:32

You may have dtd enough around the right time anyway! Guess we both have to stay positive 👍🏻 and try not to symptom spot because I've been caught out too many times!!!

OP posts:
MistyBxx · 25/01/2017 21:58

Well this is my 5th cycle off the pill but only the 3rd month I've been actively ttc. I've thought I could have been pg the first month and was a little bit like "oh 😔"
Last month though, I literally thought I was pg for defo! And was proper gutted when af came along. My body lied to me lol it gave me all the signs!!😂
So I'm the same, ignoring anything I feel!
And just cautiously hoping for the best!!👌🏼

88claire · 25/01/2017 23:26

So we did the deed last night and I thought I would try the cushion under the hips trick to try to let gravity do it's job. I obviously fell asleep like that (the cushion was quite large) and as I woke up this morning to a very stiff neck and two numb legs so when I tried to get out of bed my legs buckled and I ended up in a heap.

I wish I had it on film but my pet budgie who had been let out earlier by my OH landed on my head and shouted 'man overboard!'

This TTC business is dangerous 😂

MistyBxx · 25/01/2017 23:49

Omg Claire I'm weak 😂😂😂

ttcnovice · 25/01/2017 23:52

That's hilarious claire Grin your budgie certainly had perfect comedic timing with that one! Something to tell the DC when they're older ("so about the time you were conceived...") haha!

I'm in a bit of a bad mood tonight actually so that's just cheered me up. Possibly TMI (if there's such a thing on this thread!) but I've had an ingrown hair down below that has decided to form a really painful blister over it - I think caused by my underwear rubbing on the inflamed bit of skin. So that's no DTD for us tonight Angry was hoping to fit in one more try as I ovulated today, but there's no chance now. We DTD twice every day in the three days leading up, and then once at about 4am this morning (DH is on call from
home hence the strange time!) so I'm just hoping we've done enough to catch it. Into the tww now trying to be positive!

mrsjkerry · 26/01/2017 06:57

I can never fall asleep like that - I have to go to the toilet after. Wish I could leave it in all night ...might be pregnant by now! But that's hilarious!

OP posts:
mrsjkerry · 26/01/2017 06:59

Any why has my name changed colour !?

OP posts:
MistyBxx · 26/01/2017 08:25

I was like that MrsKerry! Couldn't bear feeling like that down there! But now I just shove a pillow under my butt and grit my teeth, and have the BEST shower in the morning lol.
I also wear these carefree panty liners every day, they're not for periods, just to keep you fresh every day in general so they help when I'm lying there feeling yuck 🙈

MistyBxx · 26/01/2017 08:28

And I regularly get ingrown hairs down there, mostly after I've used veet spray on hair remover... when I used to use the cream, even though it was messy and gross, I never used to get them but since I've been using the spray on foam stuff, I get one every time! And they're so painful, I had to have antibiotics last time coz it got infected!
Gonna go back to the cream I think.x

88claire · 26/01/2017 09:18

I know I hate the gross feeling. I have a menstrual cup which I use overnight to keep clean. I'm sure it doesn't do much but I feel like it's giving the swimmers some extra help!

The things we do....!!
