TTC - First time!

Hello there

Is there anyone else on here trying for their first baby around the same age as me? 25/26? Would love to talk to someone about it as I am currently driving my husband mad with all the TTC chat!

Would be amazing ttc I have got a few symptoms such as really sore nipples, backache and feeling very sick each time I'm at the gym.. Which is not normal at all! But I think it's my hormones getting back to normal.. I've never been a lucky person so doubt I'll be in luck this month 😁 How's things with you ttc X

Might be worth taking a test in a few days just in case Amz with those symptoms! Have you had no signs of a withdrawal bleed yet? I'm okay, on day 3 of AF now, thanks for asking . Eager to get AF out of the way so we can try again! Here's hoping for a lucky cycle number two xxx

Yeah I might do that! Maybe on Xmas eve 😁 That would be the best gift ever 😄 No the only thing I had around 10 days ago was some CM with a little bit of blood, so not much has been going on! Yeah I nee you just want it over with now.. When day did you ovulate last month? X

Christmas eve testing sounds exciting Amz! You'll have to let us know how you get on if you do. A surprise BFP would definitely make your Christmas I'm sure!

I ovulated around CD16 last cycle, so if it was the same this time around it'd put it on the 1st Jan. New year's day sounds like a good day for conceiving doesn't it, Fx!

That doesn't sound good dangle I guess being off the pill does strange things to us! Yeah I'm going to test Xmas eve, as that will be nearly a month since I was off the pill..plus I think I've already ovulated now as the OPK are getting more faint as the days go on.. So I think I'm in the 2week wait now 🤔

Took these today with the first morning urine.. I can definitely see a very faint line on the hcg test... Anyone else see it?! It was difficult to capture it on camera. Obviously the opk is positive... It has been for days!

I can't see the line on the hcg test, can you try and take another photo? Also that's really strange you're getting such a dark line on the OPK! I thought you got your AF? I have heard of people getting positive on a OPK and not on the hcg test and going on to get a BFP.. Fingers crossed X

I can't get it to show up on camera which is annoying... I can definitely see something but not sure if it's a line or an indents or an evaporation line (not sure what one of those is to be honest).

I thought AF arrived but it was just a couple of days of spotting in the end.

How frustrating claire that It won't show up on the camera! Well that sounds like you may still have a chance then! How long has the OPK been showing positive for?

I have two clear blue and one First response waiting! But will try tomorrow. I've got a doctors appointment tomorrow morning anyway so can speak to them about everything either way.

It's a real squinter, I've been holding it under lights and on different backgrounds and I can see a line but the camera doesn't! Maybe my phone is telling me something....

The ovulation kits have been positive for about 4-5 days now... Strange!

I can't see a line on those photos either claire sorry, but the OPKs remaining positive for that long, and a couple of days of spotting sounds promising! Good luck for tomorrow, let's hope there's a BFP coming your way!

BFN again! I didn't even bother with a better test than the cheapie as I've given up a bit now. But my OPK is ridiculously dark... I did what they tell you not to do and read online that continuously high LH can be due to premature ovarian failure! Thank goodness I'm seeing a doctor today.

So I'm on cycle day 37, apparently ovulating all the time with no sign of AF and lots of negative HCG tests. I can't help thinking it's all a bit hopeless! (I know it's cycle one and I'm being silly where there's people who have been trying for years).

Two cousins have got newborns at the moment and I'm really jealous! After today's doctor visit I'm gonna try to put it out of my mind and enjoy Christmas

Sounds confusing claire glad you have a doctors appointment today, let us know how you get on! I'm on my first cycle too and I can't seem to get a positive OPK!!! I think after coming off birth control our bodies do crazy things 😁

So I think I'm in the 2ww as I'm no longer getting any lines on the OPK.. I strongest line I got was on Friday so I'm guessing I've just missed the surge 🙈 or I haven't ovulated!! Leading up to the strongest line on the OPK on Friday I was really bloated with sore nipples and egg white cm, sorry tmi! But now I'm just getting little cramps and my backaches which is a sign of AF for me 😩 I've been also feeling nauseous in the evenings so I am really confused about what's going on with my body at the moment.

How's everyone else doing? X

Whoops! Typed send too soon! The GP was reassuring and has sent me for all sorts of bloods including LH which I'm having now. She said she will refer me back to see an endocrinologist and if nothing after 6 months a fertility specialist.

I'm feeling much happier now as I'm in the system and there's a plan if nothing happens.

Claire - sorry to hear of your struggles but glad you have a good gp.

I decided that what I thought was spotting back in min-November was actually af. I thought it was way too light to be af but same again this month. Both on time to be af & fitted in with Ovia estimates.

Before bc, and whilst on pill, my af was heavy & long. Switched to implant which stopped period for 2/3 years but always bled last year of implant. Since taking out implant I expected heavy & long but am getting light & short. Trust me I'm not complaining but has anyone else experienced anything like it?

Based on my recalculations I'm still considering myself on cycle 2 as it is the 2nd full cycle. A few days away from fw now. I've decided not to use OPKs this cycle as I got too obsessed. Going to try & listen to my body to figure it out at least for this month.

That sounds like your Gp is really good and seems to want to help you out! I've heard a few bad stories of GP's not doing a thing until after a year! Fx your bloods come back quick X
