Hello there

Is there anyone else on here trying for their first baby around the same age as me? 25/26? Would love to talk to someone about it as I am currently driving my husband mad with all the TTC chat!

I'm not sure what's going on now, still having lots of symptoms... Did a first response test and it was negative after that possible positive last week. I also had a positive ovulation test yesterday on day 33! I've had issues with hormones so making an appointment to see a doctor after Christmas just to make sure everything is as it should be!

Congratulations to anyone with a BFP! Smile

Amz26 · 18/12/2016 13:56

Hey claire

That does sound very confusing! I guess only time can tell but I wouldn't write yourself off yet as its still very possible you could still get your BFP.. Did you use FMU for early response test? X

Twistedsister7 · 18/12/2016 14:19

TTC sorry to hear about AF. First cycle here too & got my hopes. AF has been super painful this time & I'm so overly emotional. It truly sucks despite being first cycle.

Cycle 2 here we come I guess. Fx for a us.

Pinkbottletop · 18/12/2016 14:34

According to my app, I ovulate on Friday. So lots of DTD up until then and just after for me! It's so annoying that I got pregnant last year without trying but lost it (tbf OH and me were not in a good place and neither of us were sure we wanted it and I think the stress led to a miscarriage) and now that we are in a much better place and want it, it's becoming like a science experiment to have one!

88claire · 18/12/2016 15:15

Amz

Yes I did, I got some of the more sensitive cheapies too and those have all come up as negative aswell :( nevermind this was only cycle number 1 and ive learnt lots for next try! And hey you never know as AF hasn't shown any signs of appearing yet. There's still time!!

There are a lot of bugs going round so I wonder if the nausea etc are down to that. Who knows!

Amz26 · 18/12/2016 18:50

I think on this thread a lot of us are only on cycle 1.. fX it's just to early for you to get a BFP! You do seem to have a lot of signs tho.

So I'm very confused my OPK is getting fainter and fainter and it's never really had a dark line at all.. Does that mean I'm still having the build up to my ovulation or have I now missed it? X

dangle90 · 18/12/2016 19:25

Not even 2 weeks since coming off the pill and I feel like I have loads of symptoms, just putting it down to withdrawal from coming off the pill but it doesn't half play tricks with your head! "But what if" even though I know it's impossible!!
I don't post much on here as I can't really keep up but I'm always reading what your all saying, nice that we're all in similar situations x

Twistedsister7 · 18/12/2016 19:42

Dangle I was the same after implant. Totally convinced I'd pulled it off & was pg straight off. Ttc does crazy things to our brains & Mother Nature has a sense of irony with af & pg symptoms being more or less the same.

Amz I'm not an expert but I think you may have missed it. I felt like I had loads of almost positive OPKs & then lighter again. I think it's really hard to judge unless you can poas every hour. Lol.

dangle90 · 18/12/2016 19:48

I darent even get involved with the OPKs yet it all looks so confusing lol!
I know i just can't wait for AF to show up just so I can start getting an idea of what is going on :/ !
How long did you wait until you got AF twisted? X

Twistedsister7 · 18/12/2016 20:21

Dangle I pretty much skipped a month altogether besides some spotting around the time originally due. Maybe that was af but wasn't even heavy enough for a pad tbh. I was convinced it was implantation bleeding except for the negative pg tests.

dangle90 · 18/12/2016 20:30

How many did you do twisted? And how long until you caved and did the first one lol? I haven't had a withdrawal bleed or anything yet! X

Twistedsister7 · 18/12/2016 21:02

I went pretty crazy tbh & tested way too much for like two weeks, then switched to OPKs which was good because I found out I was at least ovulating. Then I did manage to hold off testing nearer next predicted AF.

dangle90 · 18/12/2016 21:08

I'll wait until the end of the month and do a test I think if I haven't seen AF by then. Quite glad Xmas is just around the corner for a bit of distraction!

Amz26 · 18/12/2016 23:33

That's what I was thinking twisted I'm going to do a OPK test tomorrow morning and see what happens! 😁

dangle- opk are so confusing unless you get a clear positive! X

AshAlee1989 · 19/12/2016 05:12

Hi all, I joined this thread on the 13th and just wanted to post an update to let you know that I got my BFP yesterday. So shocked! My OH and I had only been trying since early November. Keeping my FX for everyone else on the thread!

dangle90 · 19/12/2016 07:53

Congrats ashalee! Lovely Xmas present!
I know amz, I'm reading your posts and thinking whaaaat haha! Think I'll try give it another few month before I try opks x

Twistedsister7 · 19/12/2016 08:03

Congrats AshAlee xx

88claire · 19/12/2016 08:30

Congratulations Ash Smile

I waited in a half hour long queue to make a doctors appointment this morning as I'm convinced my hormones are all over the place. I've had issues with prolactin before and was queried to have a small tumour (non cancerous) on my pituitary so think it's a good idea to get checked out.

I also don't think I'm ovulating as the OPKs have been positive a lot and don't seem to be fading! I have no idea about cycle length or when AF will come.

When I think about all the accidental teenage pregnancies I wonder how they managed it! Grin

AshAlee1989 · 19/12/2016 09:04

Thanks guys! My OH is not a lover of Christmas whereas I am so I said now that he has got this early Christmas, will he like it from now on Xmas Smile

88claire I hope your doctors is a good one. My SIL has been trying for a baby for about five years and she has gone back time and time again, but they're not interested!

88claire · 19/12/2016 09:16

Ash

Fortunately I am still a patient under gynae and endocrinology at a hospital in London so I'm hoping they will just refer me back. They did say they would have a low threshold for seeing me again when I am ready to have a baby. I think I'm too complicated for a GP unless they have a specialist interest in fertility.

I'm not writing off getting pregnant naturally and trying to do the deed every 2-3 days to cover all bases Wink you never know!

Amz26 · 19/12/2016 09:35

Congratulations Ash what a lovely Xmas present.

Haha I know dangle so confused atm! I don't blame you wanted to wait a few months to start using the OPK, they mess with my head 🤔

I'm just going to keep testing.. Ive added a few pictures of my OPK from Friday and today! I didn't save the picture for the one on Saturday but it was like the second picture.. so does anyone know what this means?

Sounds like a nightmare *claire that's good you're going to the doctors tho.. Hopefully they can give you some answers X

Congratulations Ash that's amazing! I'm sure you'll have a wonderful Christmas now!

Sorry Amz I'm not sure about your most recent OPKs, they don't seem to be following any kind of pattern do they! Maybe it's just your hormones being a bit all over the place after coming off the pill.

claire Fx you get a referral and some answers ASAP!

AshAlee1989 · 19/12/2016 13:32

It is a lovely Christmas present. Went to the doctors this morning for my hospital referral and they've said I'm due 1/9/17. Eek!

Amz26 · 19/12/2016 14:50

Yeah ttc I think my body is confused haha.. Think the best thing to do is keep DTD and see what happens!

How exciting ash so was that your second cycle? X

ttcnovice · 19/12/2016 15:15

Yes definitely Amz you never know you may just get a BFP regardless! Let's hope so!
