TTC - First time!

Hello there

Is there anyone else on here trying for their first baby around the same age as me? 25/26? Would love to talk to someone about it as I am currently driving my husband mad with all the TTC chat!

Guys, I'm certifiably insance and I know it but does anyone see anything because I think I see a very faint line... it's a CB test & says can test 4/5 days before your period. I'm more like 7 so wishful thinking but I just feel so rotten so I caved xx

Now I've posted that I feel stupid...

Twisted I think I might actually see some blue on the bottom half of the test I don't like the blue line tests though! They are meant to be pretty unreliable at times. Can you get hold of a FRER? Eeeeek!!!

No, I'm poor until payday next week. When I'm actually late DH will buy me one. Lol. I have one Morrisons one in my drawer which is pink line but I will at least wait until Friday on that. It's my work xmas party Friday eve so we'll see what happens then xx

Yeh I think that's definitely for the best! Hold off a few days so that the hormone can build up. How are you feeling?

I've been feeling sick, dizzy & just generally unwell. Most likely a virus or something but you never know.

twisted I can see the second line at the bottom half of the test! Defo test tomorrow if you have that other test.. Make sure you let us know X

Bad news for me I think - I caved in last night and did one of the FRERs that I bought - huge BFN . I know I was only 8DPO and even for a FRER that is probably too early (Google searching seems to suggest their "6 days before AF" claim is if you O on cd14, my O day was cd16 or even cd17) but I can't help but feel AF will be rearing her ugly head this month now. My symptoms are all but gone (still feeling nauseous this morning but that's it) which makes me think that the test was probably accurate.

DH is being logical saying we would have been very lucky in the first cycle, and that an August due date wouldn't be great for us work wise etc, but I'm finding it hard to be anything but disappointed at the minute.

charley I wish I'd seen your post about waiting until Wednesday to use your FRER before doing mine, your will power might have rubbed off on me!

I think it still is really early for you twisted. I got another very white IC today. But I'm trying to think of it as say we implanted on day 7 and our HCG only doubles every 48hrs, then we would go-

7dpo - 1
9dpo -2
11dpo - 4
13dpo - 8
15dpo - 16

Therefore we wouldn't be getting any positives now and some people even take 3 days for their HCG to double, or don't implant up until day 12! I only have one FRER left so although I'm feeding my POAS obsession with IC, realistically the IC might not even show until 14dpo which is Friday for me so still hope for us!

Quick question... Took this OPK earlier and I thought I was in the two week wait... This seems to be getting darker and almost positive! I'm now completely confused... Could I be ovulating REALLY late (day 29)?

This is all so confusing!!

*claire I've heard of OPK being able to pick up a pregnancy! Maybe worth trying a pregnancy test? Did you get a clear OPK earlier in your cycle? X

Amz26 i did a cheapie pregnancy test which was BFN (I couldn't help myself!) I've only just started tracking so not sure if there was one earlier In the month. Funny thing is I've had lots of weird symptoms (loss of appetite, waves of nausea, vivid dreams, two days of spotting earlier in the cycle, leg pains and a sore hip) which could be me thinking myself into It I suppose my cycles are all over the place so I'll just keep trying (partner isn't complaining!)

I've got my work Christmas party next week and will be anxious drinking if there's a possibility I'm pregnant... Paediatric nurses like to party and we don't get the opportunity very often!

That's interesting charley - thanks. I'm still way too early for a clear positive so holding out until Friday.

If no bfp this time round I will be getting some FRERs for next cycle.

Claire: it's possible you are ovulating late but also try a hpt maybe?

Ttc my DH said same about August due date & only cycle 2 for me so I consider myself incredibly lucky if I did get a BFP.

It's likely all my symptoms are related to this cold I have & the test was definitely a squinted so trying to talk myself down a little. I haven't even shown DH the test below.

I don't blame you claire I would do the same! Well hoping it's just to early to show! If you're nervous about drinking maybe just say you're on antibiotics or something like that? Then no one will think anything of it.

Twisted- Wow that would be lucky he guessed the due date! My OH thinks we will get our BFP around March.. Let hoping it's much earlier than that. What did your OH say about the test? X

I've just joined the site, and I am 27 and TTC #1. Started trying just over a month ago, no BFP yet (not that I was expecting one) so who knows if this month might be the one. Due on in roughly seven days and not sure if my symptoms are PMS or pregnancy

Twisted just realised I put you instead of TTC in my post this morning, sorry! I really hope you get your BFP Friday though! I definitely saw the line at the bottom of the test. Do you think you can hold out until Friday? Well done on the willpower!!

TTC how are you feeling today? I ended up not being able to sleep until late and woke today feeling totally normal! No tiredness, no pain etc so I'm really losing faith!

Dixie and 88 sorry your both having such a strange time with OPKs. Will be interesting to see if your periods come at normal times.

Hi charley. He didn't guess due date but said if I fell pregnant now then the due date would be august. I always said I wouldn't want to be heavily pg through summer. However now we're trying I really don't care. I just want a baby whenever it comes.

I have no self control, did my remaining test but no line. However I don't think it's an early test so still hope. I have ordered some FRERs & will try to wait until Thursday at least!!

I'm not even sure to be honest charley I only came off the pill around 2 weeks ago so it's really early days ATM.. I did TTC in 2014 and when I came off I had my AF straight away.. So little confused 🤔

Twisted I think it's definitely best to try a FRER. Although I've never had anything except a glaring white on any test so I wouldn't know but they seem to be lowest HCG detectors! Good luck for Thursday. I'm off work Thursday so might use mine then too!

Amz I was a few weeks before I had a bleed. Did you have periods on the pill? Hopefully you won't get one and will just find a BFP instead

I didn't have a bleed at all, I was on the mini pill so I think thats common.. Did you charley X
