TTC - First time!

Is there anyone else on here trying for their first baby around the same age as me? 25/26? Would love to talk to someone about it as I am currently driving my husband mad with all the TTC chat!

Evening ladies! This may sound totally stupid/weird! But do any of you stay laid in bed with legs raised after Dtd just reading some other posts about people doing that, wonder if it's an old wives tale

Amz I was on the mini pill too but unusually I did have bleeds but I know most don't! I went from around every 40-50 days when on the pill to every 15-20 days the first 3 months off. The last few months though they have settled on to 27-28 day cycles with ovulation around day 13.

Dangle I have heard it said a few times too! I don't do any handstands or anything but I have found myself trying to lie on my back and not move for at least 10minutes

Hi all

Ttc at 28. Was pregnant last year, not planned but miscarried at 9 weeks. Came off the pill in early November, had period on 15th and was having unprotected sex after. Convinced myself I was pregnant as last year I had only stopped taking my pill for a week after over 10 years of taking it and fell pregnant. But this time though I had all the symptoms, had negative tests and came on two days ago. Am disappointed but got to keep trying!

I'm feeling okay tonight charley thanks for asking! Glad that you're feeling okay too but I know you'd rather not be!! I've spent today feeling quite down but trying to keep positive now, even if the witch gets me on Friday there's still next month, and with a greater chance statistically than this month! Thanks too for the reality check in terms of HCG levels - you're right we both might just not have a high enough level to show up yet. Still holding out hope for us both!

Dangle I've got to confess to lying flat for a good 15 minutes or so following DTD . I read that there's been no scientific links found suggesting it helps, but it does sound logical so why not try it I say

Yeah that is unusual charley but it's good it's around 27/28 now.. I bet it's a relief when it start to get back on track 👍welcome pink sorry to hear about your MC :( hoping this is a lucky thread and we all get a BFP soon 😀

TTC- it's still really early for you so there's still a chance you could get a BFP soon, you still got a few days until AF is due.. A friend of mine didn't get a BFP until she was 6 weeks pregnant X

Right I've decided I'm definitely out and I'm sticking too it! I've done my last FRER, all my "symptoms" have stopped and I feel PMS like. So I'm going to just go with the feeling that it's not my month and just wait for my period at the weekend.

My FRERs have arrived, I'm at work. Talk me down please. I need to wait!!

I feel really nausea, sore & swollen boobs & some odd pains alongside extreme fatigue. But I also have a stinking cold & generally ran down as all my team at work are off & im drowning. Aaaah. I need a hand to hold.

Twisted when did you want to test? Try and stick it out as long as you can as you'll be disappointed if it comes up as a BFN! It might not even be right just may be to early to show.. 😀 Hope you feel better, have some chocolate it always makes me feel better when I'm unwell X

Would like to hold out to Friday ideally as only a day away from when Ovia said I should test. But I want to do Friday as I have a party that eve & everyone will be suspicious if I don't have a wine. Lol. I have a reputation as a wine lover xx

Defo hold off until Friday twisted you'll get a much more accurate result closer to your AF! Yeah good idea!! If you're known as a lover for wine people may be a little suspicious! You won't be able to enjoy the party if you are worried about a possible BFP

Hand hold twisted AF isn't due for you until Monday is it? Try your best to hold out until Friday, you should get an accurate result by then! Fx for a clear BFP!

charley I feel the same as you, definitely think I'm out! I feel like I'd "just know" if I was, does that make me sound crazy?! Was tempted to do my last FRER this morning, but thought no, I'll just wait and see what Friday brings!

Being off work today really isn't helping my temptation to test must... not... test!

Definitely feeling out today, not sure why just feel bleh and as if I would definitely at least see something on a FRER by now! feeling a little bit sad and know that seeing all the family at Christmas all I'll get asked is why we're not having a baby! TTC it's a strange feeling isn't it! I genuinely thought this was my month, even just the nipple pain was so ridiculously bad! But today I'm definitely resigned to the fact it's not my month.

So I'm not sure what's going on... I spotted today but it's very slight streaky and mixed in with eggwhite CM... I spotted 9 days ago which I wondered was ovulation bleeding... Could this been implantation spotting? My period isn't due for 5 days (albeit with irregular cycles but that's an average).

Anyone had anything like this?!

I'm also massively bloated and nauseous!

Amz my DH is just as bad as me to be honest! He started off wanting us to just be casual about the whole thing, but then he was the one who suggested doing the FRER on Monday, so he hasn't took his own advice .

How are everyone else's DH/OH's about everything? Any other POAS-obsession enablers?!

charley that's the best approach to take I think - if we assume it's not our month then it's a bonus if it is, and we won't face more disappointment if it's not!

claire that sounds really positive, you'd definitely be within the right timeframe for implantation! Fx!

I'm just hoping it won't turn into a full blown period. At least if nothing comes of it this month I'll know what to look out for... This is cycle number one and I wasn't expecting anything for a few months!

Still getting my head around everything - there's more to know than I expected and I'm a nurse!

I know a few of you are on the December bus thread too - a poster on there earlier today said she got a BFN on a FRER in the morning, but had BFP's on two other brands (one a digital CB) later that day. Interesting!

claire I know what you mean! DH was shocked he'd got through 5 years of medical school without realising you had to DTD at specific times to get a BFP! Either he skipped all his obs&gynae lectures, or he was having me on to encourage more sex!

Claire that could very well be the timing for implantation spotting ! Fingers crossed it doesn't come to anything!

TTC that's interesting.... although I don't want to get my hopes up and spend more on tests, I can imagine if I'm late I'll be straight back out to testing my DH keeps saying to me it will happen when it happens, but he's constantly asking about ovulation and dates and every time I say something hurts, it's 'oh you might be pregnant'. We have our little nephew at the weekend and he coo'ed over everything he did and we all fell asleep curled up on the sofa very cute. It breaks my heart to see him suddenly so ready and it not happening to be honest.
