Hello there

Is there anyone else on here trying for their first baby around the same age as me? 25/26? Would love to talk to someone about it as I am currently driving my husband mad with all the TTC chat!

That makes since twisted how many days after coming off your birth control did you get your possitive OPK? X

Twistedsister7 · 12/12/2016 11:28

Yes ICs, good old amazon.

I'll have to double check amz but I think it was 3/4 weeks after bc withdrawal x

charley2016 · 12/12/2016 11:48

TTC feeling a little bit crappy but not sure if I'm just being miserable because of this morning to be honest. Had another 8 hour sleep but no waking up last night and still feel exhausted. Maybe I've just picked up a bug.... going to try not test again until Friday! How are you this morning?

Amz26 · 12/12/2016 12:36

Thanks twisted so maybe I'm not out this month for possitive ovulate! Can you tell I'm impatient 🙈 To be honest no 2 people are the same anyway so it may take longer! X

Twistedsister7 · 12/12/2016 12:48

Amz it was 4 weeks to the day. I did an opk three times a day once the faint line started showing & it was so reassuring to see it get darker. Evidence my body was doing as it should at least.

Ttc is way more complicated than I realised & I was so judgemental of everyone poas left right & center & now I'm ttc I finally get the craziness of it all & how easy it is to get obsessed.

ttcnovice · 12/12/2016 12:51

charley I don't blame you for waiting until Friday, it must be disheartening seeing that glaring whiteness even though it is early days. I was actually kind of relieved mine didn't work this morning just to get to avoid that as it was bound to be negative! Try to keep your chin up and just think of it as a bonus if it is a nice BFP come Friday! I know it's easier said than done though Sad

I'm not feeling too bad today. Had a little bit of nausea this morning, but my boobs were really achey all day yesterday with a dull pain, and felt tender to touch, but they're fine today so mixed emotions here really.

How long has it been since you've been off the pill now Amz?

ttcnovice · 12/12/2016 12:56

I agree Twisted it's so much more complicated than you would first think! I've realised since joining MN a while ago that I knew absolutely nothing about conceiving - I didn't even know what an OPK was - so I'm sure I would never have been able to get a BFP without reading a lot on here over the last few months. Fx being armed with a lot more knowledge on it all will help my chances!

Amz26 · 12/12/2016 13:52

I think a lot of people have an AF around 4 weeks after! It's so true twisted I'm definitely obsessed too.

ttc only just over 2 weeks so I know I'm being a little overdramatic but I just want something to happen now. I'm I right in thinking you're 8dpo?

Twistedsister7 · 12/12/2016 14:03

I skipped af all together & Ovia now says due next Monday so fingers crossed (unless BFP which I doubt). It's like my body reset after taking the hormones away xx

Amz26 · 12/12/2016 15:04

Oh ok that makes sense! Well hopefully it's a BFP and if not then atleast you'll hopefully have your cycle back to normal X

dangle90 · 12/12/2016 16:38

Hey ladies hope I can join!
26 ttc #1,
Only came off the pill on thurs so not much to report on cd etc! Weird ache in stomach since about sat morn though, anyone else had this? Keep expecting to see a withdrawal bleed but nope!

charley2016 · 12/12/2016 17:11

I wasn't too bad coming off of the mini pill but I think it's because strangely i had periods while I was on it about every 40-50 days. I came off the start of July and had a few months of really short cycles 15-22 days and then last few months have settled to 27-28 days.

I'm feeling really sore and achy on my lower left of my back while feels almost like AF pains! Be just my luck for her to turn up early just to put the boot in Sad

ttcnovice · 12/12/2016 17:34

It's understandable Amz you just want to get going as soon as you can don't you! Yes 8DPO now and just bought some FRERs after work. Going to hold off testing until Wednesday and as AF is due Friday that should be a pretty reliable result, either way!

Welcome dangle Smile

Maybe implantation pain charley? Here's hoping!

bluebell17 · 12/12/2016 17:57

Hi all

I usually sit fairly quietly on this thread, but I'm ttc #1, cycle 3 now after coming off the pill in October. Had a 34 day cycle, with af that lasted 11 days. Then I've had a 16 day cycle so AF started again only 5 days after the first one finished Shock and I think that af has now finished after 4/5 days (here's hoping!). So just playing the waiting game.... not knowing what to expect from this cycle.

Good luck to all for BFPs!

dangle90 · 12/12/2016 18:08

Yeah I had periods aswel but just very random ones, had 3 last month so god knows what was going on there!
Yeah hopefully implantation bleeding charley!

dangle90 · 12/12/2016 18:10

Oh and thanks ttc! X

charley2016 · 12/12/2016 18:19

Bluebell and dangle blooming pill had a lot to answer for doesn't it!! And to think I used to panic whenever I missed a day Hmm no idea how these lucky people fall pregnant by accident haha! I hope the periods even out soon for you!

I never even thought about implantation to be honest. With all the pains I was getting on Friday, and then all the sudden exhaustion etc over the weekend, is thought I'd maybe implanted Friday (if at all, probably not haha) and the surge of new hormones were what was causing all that. Ugh who knows! Wish I could just be one of these people who don't test until AF is late!

charley2016 · 12/12/2016 18:20

TTC I'm so tempted to use my FRER after reading a load of stories online about the ICs but going to try my hardest to wait until Wednesday at least with you!

RasperryInAMelon · 12/12/2016 18:25

When I came off of the pill back in May after 10+ years I had one period in June and that was it until I fell pregnant in August - I was told by my GP it can take upto 6 months for your body to regulate your periods and for them to come back.
Additionally, your chances of MMC are much higher if you start TTC straight after coming off the pill - they recommend 3-6 months before trying

dangle90 · 12/12/2016 18:41

They deffo do charley! I was thinking exactly that the other day, how much I worried if I ever took it late or what not, now look at me haha!
I hope you manage to hold on to test! Sending you all my will power lol!! Grin

charley2016 · 12/12/2016 19:10

Haha thanks dangle! Are you using OPKs or anything?

dangle90 · 12/12/2016 19:29

No no not yet I'm trying to "take the relaxed approach" if that's at all possible lol!

Dixiechick1991 · 12/12/2016 19:34

Hello ladies.
I'm currently on CD26 of my usual 28-31 day cycle and got a very positive OPK.
Took a preg test as well because I had one left from my wishful thinking of first cycle! And that's obviously come up as a BFN.
AF isn't due until Sunday, just wondered has anyone else ever ovd this late in the cycle & AF has still come on time as normal?
Just add, I've been really teary, hate the taste of cutlery in my mouth & achey hips (haha definitely just writing down any moans as symptoms now)
Xx

Hi Dixie, I don't have any experience with it personally but I have seen it on other threads so I know it's not impossible! I would do another one tomorrow, DTD today if you can just in case and then test again with HPT day after you are due just incase. I would think if it is just ovulation late though, your period will probably be late too.
