Right that's my last buserelin and the hcg trigger shots done. Crikey.

karen gout?! Really?! Jeez, hope that gets better soon.

Pez82 · 15/11/2016 23:01

Hi all, lots happening with you these days!! I've been quiet but haven't missed a single message, you've become my favourite read whenever I take a break or am on the train!

kwick, best of luck tomorrow, fingers crossed this is the golden egg! Is this weekend you're going to Spain for a few days? If so, that's perfect timing!

stork, bloating is so uncomfortable (I regularly look like a 5 month pregnant lady due to my IBS so I know what it's like) but it will all be worth it once they extract all these lovely follicles you've been growing. Very impressive! Hope it goes well on Thursday

And you girls rock, fixing toilets and building sheds!!

Karen, hope the pain in the toe sorts itself out quickly so you can 'enjoy' your TWW, incredible what hormones put us through really! And caution, take it easy, it seems you have a lot of projects going on so enjoy these and all will fall into place when it's the right time Smile

Nothing new on my side, just taking baby steps with the preparation (for lack of a better word ah ah). Had the flu jab yesterday and seeing my GP tomorrow to discuss blood tests (without too much negotiation I hope); and then I'm off on Thursday to spend a few days with my adorable nieces in France - can't wait!

Karendvm · 16/11/2016 01:06

INeedNewShoes · 16/11/2016 06:07

taydex · 16/11/2016 08:37

Hola ladies. Excuse random post but I'm functioning (ish) on very little sleep today. Babies are awesome! LOL.
So, very random question but does anyone want/need any gonal f?
G x

kwick · 16/11/2016 08:54

pez we outsourced the building of the shed...
Yes agree it is nice to have time off, however will need to be very careful about heavy lifting... I already have a kingsize duvet and bedding set for my suitcase Confused
Hope you have a lovely time with your nieces.

Waiting for scan: #makeithappen

Ok so I definitely learn a new thing everyday!
My follicle is 15mm and I have not yet ovulated - which is ideal so sperm can meet egg.
It seems that the egg is microscopic, follicle is only its house and so long as egg is mature the magic can happen. Given that I am cd20 Dr is confident egg is mature especially as oestradiol levels good, lining is good.
So I am at Pret near clinic and having some breakfast - IUI scheduled for 11.30.
I talked through post care - which I am going to write down lest I forget:

  • stop DHEA
  • continue with co-enzyme q10
  • take baby aspirin daily on a full stomach
  • start cyclogest/crinone twice a day from tomorrow pm
Dr also said Chinese medicine not recommended when TTC but acupuncture = yes

StorkAhoy · 16/11/2016 10:12

Kwick ok that all sounds good!!!!

Enjoy your breakfast and yes, my clinic warn against chinese medicine, but encourage alternative therapies, if nothing else they are a relaxing placebo! Im off for acupuncture tonight in readiness for collection tomorrow.

Best of luck!

kwick · 16/11/2016 10:23

Thought I would share my OPK chart - maybe the surge started right after the last one I did...
I think I may be naughty and test out the trigger...

stork enjoy your acupuncture.

Good luck kwick!!!! Hope it has all gone well!

kwick · 16/11/2016 12:15

So Dr was very pleased with both magic potion and where she was able to leave it. Fingers crossed!
Test date 2 December Grin

OP posts:
kwick · 16/11/2016 12:15

BTW apparently latest studies show magic potion can live for up to 7 days in womble!

OP posts:
taydex · 16/11/2016 12:35

I had heard the same re magic potion. 5-7 days whereas egg is more like 24-48 hours. So in my head (which is currently screwed from lack of sleep LOL) it makes sense for magic potion to be there waiting for egg. Although I suppose maybe that would increase chance of an ectopic?

Pez82 · 16/11/2016 15:12

Looks promising kwick!

A reflexologist I spoke to advised me to lie about my LH as she said clinics tend to do the IUI too late so that would confirm the above.

Karendvm · 16/11/2016 15:23

All of that is why I have a bad feeling about my iui. Fairly down about it. I think mine was too late. Guess I'll know for next time.

Pez82 · 16/11/2016 16:32

Oh no karen I didn't mean to suggest this, don't bring yourself down about it, there is no exact science for it and the released egg is supposed to live for up to 2 days so you were definitely within the time.

I'm sending you positive vibes from across the pond right now xx

taydex · 16/11/2016 18:05

My clinic has good success rates and I think they do IUI too late. So clearly it can and does work later. Surely not everyone at my clinic lies like I did...?

Try to keep a positive mental attitude. That said, my cycle that worked was the most stressful and the one where I was concinced it hadn't worked so wasn't being as careful etc...

kwick · 16/11/2016 18:13

Decided to treat myself to taxi home, only to be met with torrential (ok maybe slighty less heavy) rain on exiting office so not a taxi in sight....
Anyway I am zonked... unless some miracle occurs I will get pineapple tomorrow (by miracle I mean Sainsburys Local having fresh whole pineapple). Will also get takeaway - no food that I want to eat in house.

Karendvm · 16/11/2016 18:33

No worries pez. Thank you for the positive vibes. :). I hope everyone's gets a bfp! The timing of iui leaves a lots to be desired. I think we have such better luck with horses because we scan them very 4 hours as they near ovulation. Or even more! Insemination happens so close to the time of ovulation, wish I was a horse! Lol. Enjoy your take away kwick!

kwick · 16/11/2016 18:45

Poor horses karen (are you a vet?) think of their fanjos!!!
Remember: you are in perfect time!

OP posts:
Karendvm · 16/11/2016 19:41

HAha kwick. Yes I am a vet. But we scan them rectally. Lol.

We are both in the perfect time. Fingers and toes and eyes crossed.

StorkAhoy · 16/11/2016 19:49

All three of us cycling at the same time is nuts! Love it! Karen, keep that PMA my friend!

Karendvm · 16/11/2016 19:54

stork I'll be thinking about you tomorrow. Hope they pull some great eggs out of your follicles.
