Shed looks fab kwick
I'm just settling down to watch I'm a celeb too, I tend to pop in and out tho as timings clash with other things I tape/watch.

pickle162 · 13/11/2016 21:01

Have u got another scan tomorrow kwick?

CautionHormone · 13/11/2016 22:59

Hi ladies... Sorry for the lack of posts, things haven't been good my end.

Karen I'm sorry I wasn't there to help with your ovulation & IUI timing problems... Not that I would've been much help like the other girls because I haven't actually done it yet, but I'm glad you got it sorted, that your IUI is done and it's stood you in good stead for a BFP... When's your OTD? Fingers & toes crossed that your TWW goes quickly.

Taydex how are you & Mya??

Shoes, how many weeks are you now?!

Kwick - good luck for your scan tomorrow. I'll be praying that your follicles have grown over the w/e and that you can schedule your IUI... You must be getting so frustrated. Did you get your blood results in the end??

Stork... That's great news re your follicles!! What's/when's the next step?

I have a VERY stressful week coming up in December, and it's thrown me off course massively. I don't know whether I'm coming or going, what my heads doing, what my hearts doing... Sometimes I feel fine, sometimes I wonder what the point to all this is. I'm not sleeping, im barely eating and I'm just fed up. So I went out into town with a few cousins for the first time in a year on Friday night, got so drunk and rolled in at 3:30am. I haven't got in that late for years.. And I somehow managed to hurt my right shoulder Hmm I can't move my arm above elbow level without pain so obviously daily tasks like brushing my hair and my teeth is getting really difficult. I really don't need this right now 😩

Sorry to put a dampener on everything. X

Karendvm · 13/11/2016 23:44

Well crap caution that sucks. I'm glad you went out and had fun, but being in pain now can't be fun. I think we all have times we don't know whether we are coming or going. I'm sorry you're coming up to a stressful week. Hugs.

I'll test in two weeks if I don't get my period. I usually have a lp of 13 days, so we shall seek. My pain in my abdomen has gotten better today. Still there, so I will continue to take it easy. As well, something is wrong with my toilet. Bugger. I'm going to just call a plumber. Tired of trying to figure it out.

kwick · 14/11/2016 09:13

Blimey caution how did you do that? Take it easy and do soothing things - I find lavender is very soothing.

I missed most if "I'm a celebrity" as I fell asleep Hmm woke up at 3am after an awful nightmare - I am good like that - if I am not enjoying my dream I often wake up - allows me to reset my brain Grin

kwick · 14/11/2016 09:22

Sorry had to briefly adjourn for my scan - dominant follicle at 14mm - so hopefully IUI in next day or so. Dozy cow I am left OPKs at home - by Dr says not to worry, not likely to happen today. Have next scan tomorrow morning.

AngryAngryAngry no caution I am still without blood test results despite ringing and faxing!!!! Will call again today. This is a joke!! Think I will defo change Drs!!! taydex please can you advise is maternity unit choice based on your address or your GP? I am trying to avoid being obliged to go to Whittington or North Middlesex.

Good luck with plumber karen

So yesterday I started watching "The Girlfriend Experiment" on Amazon... any of you seen it??? This is what caused my bad dreams but I HAVE to know how it turns out!!!!

OP posts:
StorkAhoy · 14/11/2016 09:23

caution oh dear, ok, take a deep breath, get a notepad and a pen. Write all the pros and cons for going down this path. Then ask yourself this, when you're 60, and everything is calmer, and this stressful time has passed, what will you regret more? having a child, or leading a less stressful life?

And then remember, as you are the young one amongst us, you have time. You have time to lose the weight you want and need to lose, and you have time to start this journey when it's right for you.

Just breathe.

I'm up for a scan in a couple of hours, I'm waaaay bloated, and honestly feel about to burst. I used the last of my menopur last night, so may need more of that....

Karen, stay warm, eat avacados and all the other things you're supposed to eat!

kwick nice shed!

taydex · 14/11/2016 10:00

Hello ladies,

Caution - We are good thank you. Although in the last day or two Mya has learnt how to throw up! I think we've been lucky it's taken this long Smile Weird how quickly you get over the thought of that being gross when it's your own baby who has just covered both you and her in milky sick...! I love that you went out and got hammered. I hope the shoulder is feeling better. You know we're always here for you through all the stress...

Kwick - Good news on the follicle, well done you. I'm not sure on hospital choice. My doctor is only a mile from me in the next village so I'm going to say I don't think it would have made a difference to me if they took home or doctors address. Our nearest maternity hospital is 5 miles away but we chose one 26 miles away instead... I think (although I don't know) that you can choose any. That said bear in mind getting to hospital in labour... you might not appreciate a longer journey then!

Stork - good advice. We did a pros and cons list for having kids...

Have a lovely day ladies.

TD x

INeedNewShoes · 14/11/2016 10:46

Kwick - if I were you I'd buy some OPKs. I'd be paranoid about missing the surge otherwise. Good news that your follicles are looking good Smile

Caution - I hope you're feeling better today. I'm 14 weeks +5 days today.

Karen - I hope you are feeling OK and getting lots of good tww food in.

I've had a traumatic few days. I was visiting friends in Bristol for the weekend when I came down with a nasty vomiting bug. I threw up something like 30 times in 12 hours! Ended up admitted to hospital for dehydration. I've been so scared about the effect on the baby but they've just done a scan and the heartbeat was going strong. It's such a relief. I'll be discharged today and then will have to wait until I'm strong enough to drive home. Wish I could click my fingers and be at home Sad

CautionHormone · 14/11/2016 12:23

Karen - nope, pain now is not fun at all! I think it's just bruised but it's starting to really irritate me. Thank you.
I'm glad you're feeling better today... Not so glad about your toilet, though!! What a pain Sad take it easy x

Kwick, I have no idea how I've injured my shoulder, I can't remember 😂 I just remember waking up on Saturday morning and I couldn't move my arm cos it was so sore and stiff!
I can't believe you haven't received your blood work results!! A small silver lining, though; surely if there was anything to worry about they would've contacted you??
Good news about your follicle... That's great!! IUI here you come Wink
No I haven't seen The Girlfriend Experiment... What's it about??

Stork you're totally right. I have time, and lots of it, but it still feels so out of reach. I feel like the only one that hasn't got anywhere yet... I'm definitely going to write out the pros & cons (if I can find any cons!!) just to reiterate to myself why I'm doing this. I think it's because I've got this stressful week in December coming up that everything just seems pointless.
Good luck for your scan!! Let us know how you get on - I'm excited for you!

Taydex oh bless her!! She's round about 4wks old now, is she? I think you are lucky it's taken this long... My godmothers baby was such a sickly baby and threw up all the time, bless him!
I know you are. Thank you lovely Flowers

Shoes I'm so sorry you've been so poorly Sad maybe being pregnant has caused the sickness bug to hit you a bit harder?! I'm glad you're being discharged today - hopefully you'll be so much better in a few days; but first, lots of rest and fluids! Glad the baby's heartbeat is going strong - must've been such a relief for you, and I know I'm not alone when I say it's lovely for me to hear!!

Thank you for your kind words ladies. You're nicer than my "real life" friends! Don't know what I'd do without you all Flowers

StorkAhoy · 14/11/2016 14:10

Hi all

18 follicles in total, 2 over 20mm, and 5 over 15mm, the rest between 9-14mm. Am officially super uncomfortable but hey ho, all for a good cause.

They still don't know if collection will be weds or thurs. I'm due to hear from them in an hour....

INeedNewShoes · 14/11/2016 14:24

Sounding good Stork Smile You must be excited to be at this point with everything going well!

Karendvm · 14/11/2016 16:54

Wow stork. Amazing numbers. Hope the collection goes well for you. X

CautionHormone · 14/11/2016 17:57

Wow Stork - good growing!!! That's amazing. Have you heard back about the collection yet? Hopefully you won't be too uncomfortable for the next few days. X

kwick · 14/11/2016 22:05

shoes how awful!! Blimey what an ordeal - so glad you and baby are ok. Please take care. So nice to have you back. Wink

shoes I barely had time to POAS today - what a fcuker! I did an OPK just now - nada... if I had surged I think I would have had something Hmmanyway it is what it is...

taydex thanks - UCLH (where I want) is a bit further away by bus... but about the same if I go by tube...
I hope little Mya Harper is being good for her mummies Grin

caution I like your positivity - but what if GP has not seen results yet? I basically did not stop from when I got in until 7pm when I left so no chance to ring GP today - hopefully tomorrow - although I am set for 6 interviews tomorrow.
The Girlfriend Experiment is about a law intern who decided to become an escort on the side - much more serious than my usual stuff... cannot watch late at night as it scares me

Jesus H Christ stork 20 follicles????? Makes my 1 seem very paltry Wink best of luck for the collection - do you need to do a trigger?

pickle my recording of masterchef australia failed... hopefully can get it on catch up tomorrow Sad

OP posts:
StorkAhoy · 15/11/2016 08:46

thanks for the good wishes all! It really does mean a lot. Especially from people who know how important it is, and honestly I have no idea if its good or not, as haven't really read around follicle numbers verses age, verses long protocol IVF, so shall take your words for it!

Thursday is the day. The head nurse thinks we will get several eggs, I am hopeful and feeling positive, but know lots can happen between now and then.

I take my last round of injections tonight, good old Buserelin who has been with me since the beginning and my HCG trigger shot.

So please send me good thoughts for collection, egg numbers and gorgeous little embryos! We are aiming for a 5 day blastocyst stage - fingers and toes and eyes crossed.

Kwick remind me, are you doing a non med IUI? but you did IVF previously? what were your follicles like then? and you know what they say, it only takes one, right?

Hello everyone else!

kwick · 15/11/2016 09:35

stork PMA all the way!!! Best of luck!!!
I have done a stimulated IVF cycle - where I took enough drugs to actually call myself a Warlady!!! Got 2 eggs, only one fertilised and gave me a BFP.
Did a natural IVF cycle got 1 egg, which fertilised.

Ladies NO follicle growth this end and it is cd19!!!!!!! DR not that worried - Apparently this is quite usual if you have PCOS!
She actually also practices at UCLH and she confirmed their maternity unit is very good.
Anyway they took bloods to check on LH and will call me later. Booked in for a cd20 scan tomorrow Hmm

Kwick - I guess it is possible your GP hasn't seen your results yet, but I'm pretty sure they have to review all the results they get as they come in... Im sure a receptionist at my surgery has told me that in the past... Is there no way your clinic could do it?
I'm going to have to watch The Girlfriend Experiment - it sounds right up my street!!
What chaos in regards to your follicle growth Sad I bet you're getting so frustrated and fed up.
Have you previously been diagnosed with PCOS or is this the first time they've mentioned it?

Stork; sending you lots and lots of good luck wishes, positive thoughts & love - you'll be absolutely fine, and I bet you'll have a great number of eggs! Based on your follicle growth, you're standing in good stead Smile

So; I've enrolled on a forensic science course for distant learning... Forensic science has always been such a keen interest and a passion, but due to my mental health in the past I never got round to doing studying it.
I feel ready to learn now. I'm in the right mindset, and I need to be learning again because my mind is going to mush!!!

pickle162 · 15/11/2016 17:41

Eek kwick get on to downloading it asap its finals week!!! Just catching up for rest of yesterday's as I couldn't keep my eyes open. This surgery has broken me, I'm shattered
Hope everyone is well x

kwick · 15/11/2016 18:49

caution nope they do not have the results - they only started chasing them today! AngryWTAF????
I was diagnosed with PCOS many years ago - just normally I am a bit more regular.
Wow forensic science!!! You go girl!!

Blimey pickle you still not ok? Plese take it easy!!!

So got a call from CRGH this pm to say that LH surging so booking me in for an IUI... so scan at 9am then iui at 11.30.... grow follie grow!!! I am meant to trigger at 7pm - but will be late as still on bus home... what will be will be. Milk in office fridge went off and I did not have time nor inclination for lunch (second day in a row)... Sad
But I am just certain that follicle is premium grade and will welcome magic potion with open arms Grin

Awesome news kwick!!!! Very excited. Hope your magic potion finds a wonderful egg. I will be thinking of you.

pickle I hope you start feeling better. Hugs to you.

I have fixed my toilet. :). Powers of YouTube.

Have also discovered (I think) that elevated progesterone causes gout in me. I've had severe foot pain 3 times this years and I just realized today that they were during both iui cycles when I've been in progesterone, and also back in February when I was pregnant. Going to the dr to confirm. Nothing I can really do about it. Currently on day 3 and trying not to think about it. Any twinge I get I just tell myself it's the progesterone.

kwick · 15/11/2016 20:29

You are amazing karen!!!! You fixed your toilet from instructions off YouTube... WOW!!!!

Sorry about foot pain... what kind of pain is it? (My feet hurt constantly)

OP posts:
Karendvm · 15/11/2016 20:48

I Think it is gout pain. The joint of my big toe. And so I'm rolling my foot out to avoid it and causing pain on the outside too. From what I can find on google there are a few cases of this while people are in progesterone.
