Hmm... I flew home after all my IUIs and at eight weeks this pregnancy went on a camping holiday, (involving pitching a tent, cycling 25 miles a day, etc.) and flew home at the end of that week.

Just saying this so that no one panics if they do have to fly in early pregnancy or during the tww.

Seem to remember that Taydex swanned off to Italy during her tww too Smile

One thing I never did though was lift my bag into the overhead locker. It's that sort of movement I felt was too much of a pull on my abdomen.

Late - lovely to see you on the thread and with a positive plan too Smile

kwick · 14/01/2017 07:48

Wow shoes you have such a good memory! Taydex did indeed swan off to Italy!!!
I agree with the overhead locker thing- I think it also depends on how much activity you are used to pre-conception. I hope I get the all clear soon so I can start swimming and pregnancy yoga.

Very strange sleep last night... one of very bizarre dreams: having IUIs in a room which was an access point to rest of clinic Confused

Yes she did didn't she. It's what you feel comfortable doing I suppose. For me, if my DC said don't do it, and I did and something went wrong I would unfortunately blame myself, silly but true for me.

kwick its 14 was for yoga isn't it? To give your ligaments a chance to firm up a tad?

kwick · 14/01/2017 11:45

stork not sure I understand yoga remark but I love yoga but have never been able to maintain a regular practice - I hope that will change once I get the the all clear. PMA, PMA, PMA!!!

kwick sorry! Let me try again. So during my two I has to cease yoga and Pilates as both instructors (at different studios) asked me to wait till I was 14 weeks to resume practice if I had received a bfp as it's something to do with pregnancy making your ligaments etc a bit more stretchy, so I f you go to practice too early you can damage yourself, or so it was explained to me.

Again I think it's down to each person to decide what they want to do themselves once they understand any and all potential risks.

In other news I have woken up with the worst neck and shoulder pain! Tres agony!

StorkAhoy · 14/01/2017 14:17

Corrected!

kwick I've read you can have really vivid/ weird dreams when pregnant! I wonder what the science is behind that?

How you doing pez? Xx

kwick · 14/01/2017 18:50

Thanks stork

Yep I have heard that too hoping Grin

pez please say "check":

I'm ok but had a bit of a difficult start. You remember when I said I had invited friends over for lunch and have a bit of a laugh? Well my damn boiler decided to let me down just before they arrived!!! I spent a few hours trying to get old of my plumber until I phoned British Gas completely desperate and said yes to everything they were saying! When they asked if there was any young and elderly people in the house as otherwise they wouldn't give me priority I said I had undergone fertility treatment yesterday and that I had to stay warm and not stress! THe lady was super understanding girl and a technician knocked on my door half an hour later!!
A switch was broken in the boiler which can't get fixed until Monday but I got to choose between central heating or hot water - I so wanted to hug him for giving me some heat back into the flat! I actually gave him a piece of the cake I baked earlier this morning Smile

So now let's tick
Feet warm ✅ yes and I slept with a hot water bottle on my feet last night
Kidneys warm ✅ big woolly jumper on!
2nd 5th of pineapple eaten ✅
Short walk - well I cooked a lot this morning and cleaned the flat so that's my light exercise done ✅
Feet up - yes finally ✅
Comedy - I had a good giggle with my friends after the nervous breakdown with the boiler was over

My temperature hadn't increased this morning though but I've just taken it and it's higher than never (I never go near 37 and it is 37,3! It's warm and cosy since the boiler got fixed!)

So I think I must have ovulated late afternoon yesterday - that's what I hope. And if not I hope a few of the 23m swimmers survived until this morning!!!

Funnily enough I read about vivid dreams this morning kwick (yes, I did google early pregnancy symptoms Blush)

I will my yoga classes too...

Pez82 · 14/01/2017 19:10

Sorry for the typos!

Pez82 · 14/01/2017 19:11

And I meant I will miss my yoga classes too

kwick · 14/01/2017 20:20

pez well done and sorry about the boiler but well done for getting it sorted!!!
I am sure the magic potion was still effective today Grin
Did you inject a trigger injection?

OP posts:
Pez82 · 14/01/2017 20:32

No, no trigger.

I got + on digital at 7am Thursday but no true positive until later in the afternoon on cheapies. I know my dominant follicle was still there on Thursday at lunchtime when I had the scan.
So I'm thinking worst case scenario, I didn't ovulate until this morning (36h after + on cheapies) so it would still be a few hours before the swimmers had reached their 24h lifespan.

I know I should relax but it's so hard not to think about it!

HopingForALittleOne · 14/01/2017 21:05

pez sounds like you are doing all the right things and glad you were able to get heating back on! X

CautionHormone · 14/01/2017 21:18

pez it sounds like you're doing everything right, when's your OTD?!

kwick when's your scan lovely? I remember you saying you had one, but can't remember when you said you had it Blush

I've got the AF from hell 😩 I really feel in my heart of hearts something isn't right with my reproductive organs... Is that just me being pessimistic?? I see my gynaecologist on the 2nd Feb, but have only managed to lose about half a stone (I did manage the full stone but put half a stone back on over Christmas and whatnot - whoops Blush). So I have just under three weeks to lose the other half.
If I've lost it when I see him on the 2/2, I think we'll be arranging my laparoscopy. It's all done at the private hospital on the NHS, too, so should be done quite quick... I'm trying my hardest to lose it but it's not shifting! 😂

pickle162 · 14/01/2017 21:53

Sorry to hear about ur boiler dramas pezi had the same thing last year (but the problem was something to do with the pressure and could have exploded or something) but it gets frosty cold so quick and u get cold to the bone so well done for fighting ir corner to get priority!
How my lovely manager always says to me, you can't change when ur iui was done so don't worry about things you can't change. You did everything you could have done to get timing crossed so just got to keep all our fingers and toes crossed ( I know I will be exactly the same tho)
Gone to a friends this afternoon, didn't bother washing hair (since thu!!!) then we ended up being invited to her friends house-why is it always when u look like shit?!?!?

Pez82 · 14/01/2017 23:04

Thank you hoping

Caution, OTD is 27th Jan and I will try and wait until 25th to test (I said 'try' Hmm)
3 weeks still gives you time to get closer to your goal - stay positive!

pickle, yeah I felt the same way today about these things always happening at the worst possible time and how unfair it was!
And agree re timing, what is done is done and I will stop worrying about it. It's funny how one loses any sort of wisdom when it's their turn.
I'm sure you didn't look bad - did you meet anyone nice? WinkWink

kwick · 15/01/2017 07:31

I forgot to mention PMA/cisualisation pez!!!!!!

pickle I am sure you looked lovely Grin

caution best of luck for next 3 weeks. There were some diets on that program on channel 4 (I think) this week with Dr Xand (yes I fancy him!) which might inspire you.

My early scan is on Tuesday - when I will be just over 6 weeks...

OP posts:
pickle162 · 15/01/2017 09:30

Thankfully I'd met them before but I looked very greasy

Ooh yes so many diet programs on at mo- I like how to diet well with xand and also celeb sugar free farm!

kwick I am uber excited for you and your scan another day I'll be checking MN every 5seconds to see what the news is

I woke at 4.30 this morning and was worrying that I won't be rang by the nurses intime to book 2nd Feb for all my tests because apart from my birthday (which don't really want to spend 2hours at a clinic, but will if I have too) there are no other days I can go in before march's AF (conferences and week away training) & then if can't get in before then then won't be able to start cycle in March. So I've decided I'm going to wait till tue (consultant told me there are loads of ivfs tomorrow so everyone is busy) & ring up and just say I know they are supposed to ring me but please can I provisionally book this???? Pllleeeeaaaasssse!

I need to go out and get some food shopping more importantly loo roll but still have to wash my hair and tidy the house but can't be arsed!
I need to start eating better again tho as don't really want to start diet when ttc as that isn't good for fertility-argh

kwick · 15/01/2017 11:53

Yes ring them pickle!!!
I love the sugar free farm!!! I would live to go on that!
BTW Slimming World is approved to do whilst preggers.

I went to the loo about 5 times last night!!!!

OP posts:
pickle162 · 15/01/2017 12:11

I know I would like to go there too and learn all those recipes!

CautionHormone · 15/01/2017 15:19

Thanks Pez. I am trying to stay positive, along with eating healthily and going for daily walks. But the weights not shifting and it's making me anxious 😂 I'm sure it'll start shifting though, and it'll all be okay.
27th January really isn't that long!! Waiting is easier said than done, though, but if you do test early don't be disheartened if it's BFN because there would still be time Flowers is this your first or second IUI?

Thanks Kwick - I'll definitely be looking for inspiration on channel 4! What's the programme called? Is there any already been on? I'll try find it on catch up if so.
Best of luck for Tuesday - we'll all be rooting for you! And like pickle said, obsessingly checking MN Wink

I too love Sugar Free Farm... It would be so much simpler if we all lived that way although somewhat frustrating Grin

kwick · 15/01/2017 16:02

caution yep there should be two episodes on catch up of how to lose weight well.
I was just watching something on iplayer - about carbs vs fat... iced buns are not a carb right? Confused

Doing a day trip to Brussels tomorrow...

OP posts:
Pez82 · 15/01/2017 16:36

It's my 1st IUI caution and the first time I try to conceive ever! I was on the pill until a few years ago and been careful since then so I have no idea how my body is reacting to this - hopefully well, I've been sending lots of positive thoughts to my womb today Smile

kwick, take it easy on the trip tomorrow. The good thing I guess is that your day will fly by and then it's Tuesday!!

Just about to eat my 3rd bit of pineapple...

A couple of friends have just asked if they can stay at mine next weekend (they're moving home) so I'll need to hide all my stuff away (I.e. Progesterone suppositories, thermometer, baby names book (a Xmas gift from my brother Wink) etc.). She is herself 5 month pregnant so it will be nice to have them around.

Hope everyone else is having a great Sunday xx

pickle162 · 15/01/2017 17:02

Well I finally washed my hair and got some toilet rolls!!! Wahooo! Life's dramas solved :)

Awe ur bro is cute pez
If people that didn't know ever opened my spare wardrobe they would be horrified at the baby stuff I may have already brought
Then there is all the poas (obviously unused ones most of the time) the thermometer, my notebooks about tcc, any brochures paperwork from the clinic!
Don't like that it is nearly Monday again 😔 But at least I have annual leave on Friday so shortens the working week
