Yes pickle, don't worry, and let's not forget that we're having so many tests done while others conceiving naturally don't have a clue!!
with so many tests done, none of us are going to have the optimal conditions, there's always going to be something, but these guys at the clinics are professional and can tweak anything to make it work!

The ONLY positive about this all is im now ready to be selfish and be like screw this I need to do this now and I am not putting the chance of a child even more at risk by delaying things for work

AF from hell is on the way out thank god! Managed to talk to the clinic today and reserved my preferred donor for the next round and scheduled my follow up appt for Jan 9th.

kwick injections? Have you started IVF already?

Eek pez & stork very exciting. I'm looking forward to choosing my donor! I'm very tempted to ring and see if there are any cancellations for next Friday so don't have to wait over Xmas but still limited to start March time anyway so in 2 minds...& they prob wouldn't be anything anyway

stork I am doing a cycle of stimulated IUI - injecting 225 of Merional on alternate days from day 3. I have a scan on sunday... then I am on a work trip until Thursday. I am in perfect time!!!

Kwick, of course, you can be quicker with the IUIs in terms of next rounds! Good luck! And I used Cares bank, my donor is a lovely blonde doctor, obstetrician, so wanted to use him again as education is super important to me.

So I put on nearly a stone with the IVF, already 5lbs are off and I went for a jog today which is the first time in a year, it felt good to be out with the dog and trying to catch my breath! I have till February to lose what I put on and hopefully more and feel in tip top shape ready for round 2.

I used the European Sperm Bank - it was important for me to get someone from the continent and close to my family features. It was relatively easy to cut it down to 2 but then how hard to pick between the finalists!!! I've been changing my mind pretty much every day for the last month... in the end I went for the well-travelled artistic one over the most attractive one as I thought his profile and hand written letter would be a great read for a future child. My plan is to switch to the other one if it hasn't worked after 3 rounds.

I'm trying not to stress too much but it's hard. Last night I dreamt I gave birth to a tiny cat, and then it was a tiny baby, so small that I lost it in my hair and then I was attempting to breastfeed (very badly) in front of all my relatives. Totally losing it!!!

Yeh I want my baby to have similar colouring to me, dark hair,dark eyes, olive skin etc so will be looking for a doner with those features. I will be using the bank at Care clinic too, partly because it's much cheaper.

Nah kwick didn't get a chance to ring to see if any cancellations.ive got to wait till tue to see if work want me to work extra on fri so the overtime money is prob better use of my time as more money is def a bonus.
Also realised that in Feb and march we don't pay council tax so I'll have an extra £200 to go in baby fund wahooo.

My OCD has come into play-I've filled out calendars with predicted AF and days of possible ovulation so I can be uber prepared for my appointment to discuss maybe meds to delay stuff to fit in with schedule...and I've ordered 2x boxes of clear blue ovulation tests-much cheaper in Superdrug than elsewhere. trying to remain positive
Also one of good friends said I can have (?buy) her babies old cot and mattress,travel cot, car seat,travel system and anything else. Her kiddies are like my nieces so know it's from a good home and been in no accidents....also it's all up in her loft so I don't have to take it yet so reducing jinxing myself

Waiting for day 7 scan - just had bloods taken (not sure what they are checking for) then I have to leg it home, pack and leave on last work trip of the year!! Woohoo!!!

Wow drugs seem to be working!!!! I have 2 follicles at 11mm and 1 at 8mm and then some under 6mm!!!! So strange as when did medicated IVF I was on more drugs and had less growth I think

How many scans are usually done for iui?

Kwick - That's super follicle growth for CD7! Your body is obviously geared up for this cycle.

Pez - So exciting that you're getting everything in place for your first attempt. Well-travelled and artistic sound like very good genes to me

Stork - Good for you getting out for some exercise. I went out on my bike for the first time in over a month today. It was such hard work. I need to follow your lead and get a little more exercise (though jogging and me have never been friends so I'll stick to walking and cycling). Its great that you're planning your next attempt for the new year.

Karen - How are you getting on? Even though I haven't been on the thread I've been thinking of you and Jack a lot

pickle I'm glad you are seeing Care soon as you may find it takes longer to get the donor you want, and that is what drives your timeline rather than anything else. When I did my round of IVF they only had one Caucasian donor left. One! So be prepared. I can't recall your timeline but just wanted to flag that!

Ooh thanks stork I will keep that in mind about donors-I'll add that to my list of questions-when can I chose a donor.

pickle I think the scan number varies by clinic and by person - as it will depend how fast the follicles are growing. I usually have about 4-5 scans plus baseline.

I feel that too shoes I just hope that they hold out until my scan on Thursday.

I feel like there is a donor crisis!! Probably because in UK donors can be contacted by offspring...

Ok so just back from 5 course lunch (work related) and I feel terrible... not sure if due to large quantities of rich foods consumed or due to hormones... did not feel so great yesterday after last injections...
Such a pain as I have the evening to enjoy Barcelona but I think I will just have a bath and an early night

THank you. I check in every now and then so I can see how all you are doing. I'm exhausted. It's this roller coaster. Jack is still with me but I don't know for how long. I decided to get a puppy. For me and my other dog Presley. I'm in no shape to try and do an iui and my clinic is closed for Christmas over the holidays anyway. Regardless my hcg needs to drop to below 5 and I need to have a normal af. Kwick I hope your cycle gives you your much deserved bfp. Hugs to everyone.
