kwick so it seems that the general idea is that you go on holiday there and do it all in one trip, while relaxing! And I think they use the cyros bank so lots of donor types. It's just something I was looking at as an option especially the holiday bit!

He has fluid around his heart. Waiting to see if it is a tumour causing it. If it is I will be losing two dogs in two months. This has been the worst year of my life. I just feel like calling it quits. There has been nothing good.

Oh poppet, keep fighting on sweetie. I know it'll feel like your heart is breaking, pets are like best friends. Wish u were closer so could do more or give you a real life cuddle!

Cyros has been a big disappointment to me stork hardly any CMV negatives with dark hair and dark eyes - also my clinic CRGH has now removed them from their approved list due to family numbers

karen not sure what to say. I really hope your doggy is on the mend

Oh and BTW I spoke with my GP yesterday re: blood tests. Everything okay (no diabetes, liver and kidneys fine) only thing is 6.5 of cholesterol - she just banged on about that and did nothing to explain why I get so itchy. She said I have to make dietary changes and she will retest in 3 months and if no improvement will put me on statins. I am so pissed off about this - my cholesterol has always been high.
I checked the list for natural ways to reduce cholesterol by food and I am eating them all on a regular basis. I know I need to lose weight but I just feel the GP always just grabs on to one thing and never really tries to get under root cause

Just a thought could rash be from gluten, I'm sure some people get this if becoming intolerant to gluten???? Worth an investigation

Yes watched the final last night-made me cry!! Not that I'm hormonal emotional wreck or anything 🙄 Final is very tight. Enjoy!

Jack and I spent the night at a hotel. Back for a recheck this morning. He is breathing better and his heart rate is down. I'll find out more at the appt. kwick what the heck? I hate it when doctors don't address the main concern. How is the itching? Settled down a bit?

Karen - that sounds positive. I hope that its good news when you go back this morning.

How are you getting on? I imagine you've been a bit distracted from your TWW!

Kwick - do Cryos not have different branches? I know the Copenhagen one has very few dark-haired donors (I wanted one really as my family are all dark-haired) but I would have thought other European branches might have more choice? Having said that the higher number limit of pregnancies per Cryos donor is a little off-putting (though I'm trying not to dwell on this!)

Yes, you will say I am a bit mental but I prefer to feel prepared...

I read yesterday that thawed frozen washed sperm was different from fresh one and only lived for about 12h (and start dying off after 6 hours), so I started trying to work out the best timing for IUI and it turned into the attached photo. Yes, I'm crazy, I warned you!

So it means that actually it is probably best to do the IUI a few hours AFTER ovulation rather than before as the egg is likely to last longer than the thawed sperm.

Anyway, from what I deduct (and this is only my view), I will aim to get the IUI done as close as possible to 28h after LH surge (so Karen, with my theory you were spot on this month - I have a very good feeling about it )

Then, I started panicking as the window is so small and my clinic (as most clinics I would expect) only open at certain times and only for a few hours at the weekend... The purple lines show the worst possible times ever (for me) and where I would be so confused as to what to do. Now, I know this is not an exact science so I'm only intending to use this as a guide to ensure I lie to the doctors when I feel I have to!

Anyway, I thought I would share with you - any comments welcome!

Got my blood tests done this morning, Hycosy booked for 5th Dec and 1st treatment consultation for 19th Dec - I'm all geared up, fingers crossed the final tests come back clear...

It had fricking better not be a gluten intolerance! Itchiness is now sporadic - but still get an "attack" most days on my feet or hands.

Microwave is no longer heating up my seed bag... no idea how I will keep my feet warm

shoes not sure - I only used Cryos online. I am sure your donor will be fine - sorry did not mean to worry you.

Wow pez I am impressed!!! That kind of calculating does my head in!!!

Kwick - don't worry; I've been aware of the Cryos numbers thing for a while but decided that on balance I'm comfortable enough with it though it's not ideal.

Is it bad that I don't even care if I'm pregnant or not? I thought jack would be around for years, would be there if I ever had a baby. I can't get my head around this. I may not post for awhile. I will probably lurk but I'm just so defeated by life right now. X

Karen - no it's not bad; it's absolutely natural that your only focus at the moment is Jack. Be kind to yourself. It will get less painful in time but for now you have to allow yourself to grieve

karen your post just broke my heart. It is so sad when a loved one dies and it is not bad that you are consumed by that at the moment. Just know we are all here for you if you want or need us. Much love and hugs

karen been thinking about you all day

THank you to everyone. It's been a very stressful weekend. Took jack on two walks today. Breaks my heart that he really doesn't want to eat. My mom flew up and tonight we put up the Christmas tree. I am hAving pictures with the dogs done tomorrow. I'm celebrating Christmas with jack everyday from this point on. I hope everyone is well. My fingers are crossed for some bfps. Again, thank you. I am feeling so low. Your support helps.
