Good luck girlies. I'm a little frightened by my sudden nymphomaniacism (is that a word?) I think my husband is too. I'm desperate for baby, started noticing where to get the good deals on babygros, and where the crib is going to go!! But he's so calm, and is all like "if it happens, it happens", it feels like he's not fussed if it takes 5 years - christ i can't wait that long! Anyone else like that or do you have super supportive hubbys?

Ambi, to be honest, my DH is the most laid back man on the planet... so I know he isn't worried about when the baby comes. He tells me all the time that it will happen when it's meant to. I think having a partner like that is great! Can you imagine if they were as bad as we can be?? It would be hysteria!! I say enjoy the fact that your husband is calm and grounded. I'm sure he doesn't want to wait for 5 years really, but is doing his best to calm you down so that if it doesn't happen straight away you don't start to feel the pressure!!

I'll raise you another chilled out DH. He is the type that believes if it happens, it happens and we should not get overobsessed about it. He was rather shaken with the pregnancy in September though and even more shaken at the mc. So now that we are ttc again he is a bit more careful about being too laid back with me as he knows I want it so badly.

However, whenever I say that age is not on my side he quotes how many chavs pop them all over the place whilst on drink, fags, drugs and a McDonalnd diet; so we should have no problem. I remind him that said chavs are teenagers and don't hold down stressful full time jobs and were trying to get through a part time masters at the same time. Sorry, rant over...

He is a sweetie though....

Ladies, I have some musings over OPKs....

On Saturday - no second line but eventually got it very faint

Sunday - very faint but a couple of hours later it turned almost but not quite as dark as the control line

Monday - darker than Saturday but lighter than Sunday.

Was the Sunday reading valid if I looked at it a few hours after doing the test? Could I consider that a positive?
How is everyone else getting on with them?

I seem to be getting lines that are almost the same at the moment. Not much in the way of CM though, so am a bit confused.

Gillian1973, PMSL @ the chav mcdonalds diet You shouldn't look at the OPK later as they can get darker with time and have nothing to do with OV. Have you tried pink grapefruit? It's not as sour (IMO) and just as effective as golden grapefruit, not sure if orange juice would have the same effect??

Scorpio, if you are not sure about when you OV perhaps start your OPKs today (I am sure Lottie said CD9) until cd19/20 or a +ve result of course. Fingers crossed.

I guess you're right Ready, 2 obsessive people may be too much and at least the pressure we put upon ourselves IS put on by ourselves and no-one else. I know Gillian bout the chavs, where I used to live was chav pg central(or felt like it!) designer bumps with trackies!! Awful! Those silly mares didn't have to count, calculate, take temps and pee on stix - just drink as much diamond white as possible, so frustrating!

is that the answer? ditch the sticks and the grapefruit juice and stock up on the White Diamond?

Have we been doing it wrong all along?
