MAD HATTERS AND MARCH HARES????? IN HERE!

1000 replies

Ready · 02/02/2007 15:16

Or should that read Mad TTCers and March Hopefuls??

Thought that I would start a March thread as from tomorrow I will no longer be eligible for the February thread. Of course I will be lurking and keeping fingers crossed for those still in with a shout... but it's time to move on.

Who's with me???

My like my DH a lot! He is a superstar. He is very well trained, although the kettle isn't on a much as i'd like!!

He's not shy to a hoover or housework etc. And he is very supportive of me too. Especially now as my mum is so ill.

I'm sorry jhyesmum we're here to listen if that will help?

Dh also good at the housework- always ahs been, I'm at Uni though so don't have so much spare time with the boys.

We've gotten each toehr through the oldest and youngest being diagnosed with ASD- he went down first then I did, dragged each other back up and are now co-dependant I think!

jhyesmum · 14/03/2007 20:04

Hi Loopsy - I have on TTC No2 thread.

I feel like i keep going on about it!

My mum finds out tomorrow whether she has Cancer or not. She is so very poorly at the moment. She has seriously deteriorated over the last 3-4 weeks. She must only weigh 6 stone at the minute (about the weight of one of my arms!).

We are a very very close family so it has hit us all really hard. That's why i say that DH has been so great. Although he is worried sick too, he is also worried sick about me too. Bless him .

We are keeping our fingers crossed it isn't the old big c. xx

Oh poor you and your Mum

I hope you won't need it, but if you do- the Macmillan cancer Relief site has a number for an info line that is just fabulous (they will also talk to you while you're waiting to hear by the way). Used to work for them as a fundraiser, well wortha look at their site.

Fingers crossed that tomorrow is OK (and remembering that some cancers are a lot less scary than people think and quite easily treatable today).

jhyesmum · 14/03/2007 20:11

Thanks so much.

Like i said to my dad earlier (he's in bits), at least tomorrow we will know what we are dealing with. She needs treatment ASAP whatever it is. I've told her i'll donate a leg if she needs it, as long is she gets back to the same old mum!

I've also told her that i will dyson some fat off my belly and donate it to her!!

If it is Cancer, we will just have to deal with it and get her through it. But the support I get from you guys really does help loads xx

plummymummy · 14/03/2007 21:00

V sorry to hear about your mum

becklespeckle · 14/03/2007 21:20

sorry to hear about your mum jhyesmum , will keep fingers crossed for her and you for tomorrow. cancer is a scary word but the disease is very often treatable and curable. my mum had it last year and sadly couldn't beat it but I have 2 friends whose mums also had it last year and did beat it.
If you need to talk then MN is a good place to do that, please let us know how she gets on

jhyesmum · 14/03/2007 21:39

Sorry you lost your mum. ((((hugs)))) to you too.

Everyone has been so great. It's quite overwhelming xxx

Hopefully soon i'll be posting about TTC again!!!

fruitful · 15/03/2007 09:34

I'm praying that you get some good news today, jhyesmum.

fruitful · 15/03/2007 09:38

Goingfor3 - did your af ever come properly? Did you test again? Or are you being terribly patient and waiting for results from the doc?

And alittlebitshy - are you testing or waiting?

alittlebitshy · 15/03/2007 11:00

i'm waiting.

never been dead on with predicting - could be today, tomorrow or...

Going to the loo rather a lot today to check

alittlebitshy · 15/03/2007 11:04

I just know af is going to come though.
We worked so hard during, i hope, the vital time this month so "deserve" it iyswim (dd was a surprise so it's so odd having to think about it) but haven't done anything since cd21 cos I got a nasty cold, ear infection and chesty cough....

jhyesmum · 15/03/2007 14:30

Hi All,

Mum has got cancer.

She is having a CT scan on Monday (as we don't know where it is) and she will start chemo on wed.

Thanks for all your support xxx

becklespeckle · 15/03/2007 14:34

big hugs jhyesmum. was hoping it would be better news. good that they are treating her so quickly though. please talk whenever you need to - it will not be an easy time for you and your family but it will make you stronger together.

fruitful · 15/03/2007 14:54
