MAD HATTERS AND MARCH HARES????? IN HERE!

1000 replies

Ready · 02/02/2007 15:16

Or should that read Mad TTCers and March Hopefuls??

Thought that I would start a March thread as from tomorrow I will no longer be eligible for the February thread. Of course I will be lurking and keeping fingers crossed for those still in with a shout... but it's time to move on.

Who's with me???

sorry i redid it-im on CD6,not 9-dont want everyone getting excited too early! about ov stick gillian1973,sure it will be +++ soon!

my dp got boxing match next sunday,(one of my fertile windows i think) not sure what time he leaves in the morning.i told him even if its 4am he HAS to do it with me before he goes.NO CHOICE!and i dont care if he is too sore the next day, he still has to !!

am i a meanie??!!

gillian1973 · 10/02/2007 19:21

nah....needs must!

Not too upset about the -ve, I was expecting it anyway. Pity though as DH is like a dog on heat at the mo and I don't know if to ask him to wait a few days for ovulation. If there is no CM could sperm still survive and build up waiting for the egg to be released?

scorpio1 · 10/02/2007 19:48

yeah, sperm can survive up to 7 days inside you (somewhere!!). most commonly though for about three-five days. worth a shot, surely?! then one might be there all ready and waiting when you do ovulate....(this is my excuse for practising so much ! )

gillian1973 · 10/02/2007 20:02

right then, he's starting on the oysters tonight!

Greenblock · 11/02/2007 10:27

you can change my date to anything you want! I'm going for the unplanned casual shagging approach.
with my husband casual shagging that is

Greenblock · 11/02/2007 10:28

is it just me or does the phrase 'baby-dancing' conjure up images of morris dancers?

beansprout · 11/02/2007 10:29

lol at shagging around until you get pregnant!

plummymummy · 11/02/2007 10:37

it conjures up an image of babies dancing

Greenblock · 11/02/2007 10:41

like in Ally McBeal?
for me, it sounds like some pagan fertility ritual!

Gracie14 · 11/02/2007 11:00

Hi all,

So I'm coming over to the March thread, got my AF yesterday, so CD2 today.

I was really hopeful this month but not to be.

This will be my 6th cycle TTC, I might start temping this month although should I have started doing this yesterday?

Thanks Lottie,

I think I will join you on the temping thread, I said if it didn't happen this month that I would start temping so see you over there soon.

Ready · 11/02/2007 14:18

Gracie14, sorry you've had to join us here but HI I'm in cycle 6 too! As Lottie says. don't worry too much about temping during AF, the only exception to that would be if you thought that you might ovulate that early. It's rare I would imagine, but not unheard of. Good luck with the temping, see you over on Temp Buddies2.

Greenblock, pmsl at your casual sex approach, glad it's with your husband though

Scorpio, 4am session!? GO FOR IT!!

Hope everyone else is ok... far too many of us to name everyone Have a great Sunday!

Hello all,
Well, even after all my optimism, here I am, AF arrved yesterday on cd31, just as I was thinking I was late (last 2 cycles were 29 days)I'm now on cycle 14 (or cycle 10 if you give me time for pill to come out of system - how do any of the rest of you count it?) Going for Mrsmcjr's everyday approach this month - dh has agreed (in principle anyway!) I think he was quite gutted about not suceeding this month too.

So: (I have put us in order - hope no-one minds!)

hello to all the new ones on this thread, sorry your AFs came. just keep trying with us! sounds like everyone doing much of the loving already....

im CD7 today.i think i keep getting too hopeful already that this cycle it will happen, when this is my first cycle since having my coil out.im trying to adopt an 'if it happens, it happens' approach, but its just not working. my best friend has an 8 week old, and thats just hard to ignore! im going to try and be more chilled and just do what i can to be healthy before i conceive.(does budweiser last night count?!)

ive been at a little girls 2nd birthday party this afternoon with my eldest child (nearly 5) and it was a madhouse! got a free bit of cake though going to have yummy dinner tonight and chill

glad everyone ok and welcome new ones!

plummymummy · 11/02/2007 17:41

Welcome to newcomers. Sorry too about and hope this month is more lucky

plummymummy · 11/02/2007 17:41

Doh - should say sorry about af.

nomoremagnolia · 11/02/2007 18:23

Hi all,
Does anyone know how much b6 to take to increase LP? I know there's been info on this before, but I can't seem to find it now!!

Ready · 11/02/2007 19:41

Nomoremagnolia, I found this on www.pregnancyquickstart.com.... "Many women find that supplementing with 50 mg after ovulation helps lengthen their luteal phase and helps promote fertilization and implantation"

morning ladies

sorry if im being really thick but what exactly is a luteal phase?heard alot about it on these ttc threads but not quite sure what it is!

dp coming home again after lunch today, they have been sent home from work because of the high winds (he's working near the cliffs and i would quite like it if he wasnt blown off!)

hope you all had a good weekend

beansprout · 12/02/2007 09:50

As I understand it, luteal phase is the post-ovulation phase where progesterone is the dominant hormone and any potential bean needs to bed in and stick. If it is not long enough then it is unlikely you will get pregnant, hence the need to increase it. I think it needs to be at least 12-14 days, but I could be wrong on that.

scorpio1 · 12/02/2007 09:51

oh i get it now! thankyou

rattling · 12/02/2007 11:20

I was optimistic on the Feb thread, plan to be very pessimistic and avoid the crushing disapointment this month.

Nomore - I am on 200mg B6, and recently started 500mg Vit C (read a paper on LPD wher that helped). So far neither have lengthened my luteal phase - but it is a problem that can have many causes, so worth giving it a go.

At least with my brief (and it seems ever shortening cycle) I should get 2 chances in April!!
