MAD HATTERS AND MARCH HARES????? IN HERE!

1000 replies

Ready · 02/02/2007 15:16

Or should that read Mad TTCers and March Hopefuls??

Thought that I would start a March thread as from tomorrow I will no longer be eligible for the February thread. Of course I will be lurking and keeping fingers crossed for those still in with a shout... but it's time to move on.

Who's with me???

Sorry to hear about the pains Ready, Auntie Flo is a real bitch isn't she! defo with iwbpbDec on the chocolate and cozy blanket!! It's necessary!

Ambi · 05/02/2007 16:30

hmm duvet day sounds nice plummy, kinda did that yesterday, lazy sunday = get dressed when the sun sets!! A benefit to not having kidlings yet I guess.

Greenblock · 05/02/2007 17:00

the miscarriage nurse said we should wait for a proper period before starting to try again. so i have no idea how long that will be.
quite tempted not to wait, would that be a really bad idea?
Anywa, let's say it is a month, so that means I am probably on the right thread!

gillian1973 · 05/02/2007 17:13

Hello greenblock and welcome to the thread. They say to wait until one proper period to help date the pregnancy.

I had my first period 23 days after I started spotting with my mc but it has been a bit erratic for a few cycles after that.

Greenblock · 05/02/2007 17:16

is dating the pregnancy the only reason? The nurse suggested it may lead to a further miscarriage if you don't let your body go back to normal first.

iwillbepgbydec07 · 05/02/2007 17:24

greenblock - they tell you to wait purely for dating reasons. but a scan will tell them that info.
if it was your first m/c then there isnt an increased risk of another (so i am told by gp) it is only if you have recurrent m/cs.

i waited for my period as i had an infection so wanted to stay clear and get healthy before ttc again.

my cycles since m/c are shorter and are not consistent each cycle. be prepared for irregularities. i think aslong as you feel emotionally and physically ready then i wouldnt hold back. some people on mn have said after a m/c you are extremely fertile.

sorry to hear of your loss ((hugs))

lets hope its a positive march all round!

gillian1973 · 05/02/2007 17:25

There is probably some truth in that too, but she didn't go into detail on that with me, just the dating.

madmarchhare · 05/02/2007 17:26

Im not TCC, but I saw the thread title and couldnt help but pop in and say hello.

Hello .

scorpio1 · 05/02/2007 17:30

Greenblock-provided no infection, etc, i just think go with what suits you at the moment-if youre happy and healthy enough

iwillbepgbydec07 · 05/02/2007 17:32

there is conflicting advice everywhere about m/c

some people get told 3 months to wait, some 1 month and some non at all.

so how the hell are we supposed to know what is right or wrong?

i personally wasnt fertile in the slightest bit after my m/c..cos here i am now 9 cycles later! and we went at it like rabbits first few months.

scorpio1 · 05/02/2007 17:35

maybe you could do what the nurse told you, because she knows your history? just to be on the safe side then?

im sorry i dont know much about this, i just want everyone to be happy and healthy

Greenblock · 05/02/2007 17:38

thank you everyone! I am very impatient, it has to be said. but I don't want to mess things up either!

iwillbepgbydec07 · 05/02/2007 17:39

greenblock i completely understand how you feel.

just do what you feel is right for you and dp.

good luck x

plummymummy · 05/02/2007 17:52

Hey March hatters... hopefully not to be April Easter bunnies...

Big hugs to you all from East London

Greenblock I don't have any experience on the m/c front, but I agree with the thought that you should listen to all the advice but go with what feels best for you. Easier said than done obviously.

Ready you must be in Scotland then being that far away or off the UK! Yes cucumber and * chit chat sandwiches are enough to make someone go beetroot colour for months! Still it would be nice sometimes for a real hug and chit chat!

So who do we have on March then? Roll call please...

Cityangel, I moved you on to CD5, as I thought you were one day ahead of me?? I'm up in Greater Manchester, so just a couple of hundred miles away I know what you mean, sometimes a proper chat would be cool. MrsMcJnr and Chooster have met for lunch a few times I think... v cool.
