Ttc number 2!

Hello! Anyone thinking of ttc number 2? I have a 6 month old baby and don't want a big age gap between babies. AF has been a bit erratic over the past few months but DH and I have decided to make next month the first month of ttc. Anyone else sort of in the same boat?

MrsY and malbec you're both on course for LPs within the normal range so fingers crossed for you both!

I hope so Purple! I'd be a bit happier if it was higher than 10 days! We are doing smep so 3 days in a row for us. On top of the last two days that we've already done and every other day since cd10!!! If you got a BFP for effort we'd be well in there this month!!!

Ha ha malbec! We managed to get busy loads on the week that I thought was my fertile week but late ovulation means DH was broken by the time it actually counted! Lol. Typical!

Bloody hell, how frustrating! Did you manage to do it close to OV though?

Checked with an OPK again this morning and it's negative. So positive yesterday and negative today. Think I'll ovulate today or tomorrow?!

No news from me. Only 6dpo today.

malbec I think I ovulated on CD19 (possibly 20) & we dtd on CD17 so it's possible but I'm not feeling confident. Of course I did consult dr Google where I read that 2 days before ovulation might actually be the best time. Clutching at straws! Ha ha! And it's a moot point if I only have an 8/9 day LP anyway. Trying to focus on the positives - I now know I ov'd later than I thought & I have a short LP so I can take steps next month to try to help those issues.

Sorry malbec I can't seem to retain information. Are you temping as well? What time did you last test yesterday? Depending on when you last tested you either ovulated already or it'll be in the next 24hours so you're probably right with today/tomorrow. The 2ww approaches...

Yeah Purple, I read from the 3rd day before ovulation is the best time so you might still be in with a chance. Did you say you'd started on the b vits already? I'm forgetting who started when already!

Yeah I am temping. I tested yesterday morning and got a positive, then tested again and got a negative this morning. Last time I used them I had two days of positives and ovulated on the negative day. But that was my crazy cycle so I don't know if that had any impact at all. Temp still low so definitely haven't ovulated long enough ago for my temp to rise anyway!

Went for my first acupuncture session last night, it was really interesting about how she thought so many of my symptoms (odd cycle, back ache, etc) are related to stress so going to focus on getting the acupuncture to reduce that first...It was very relaxing and I had a great nights sleep after!

I think I need that! I'm the worst sleeper!! Glad you enjoyed it and got something out of it.
I think I'm on cd13 so I'm guessing ovulation is close? But with my crazy postnatal periods I have no clue!! Going to take myself (and dd) shopping to take my mind of things!

malbec I'm taking a high dose of vitB at the moment just in case I managed to conceive & it'll lengthen the LP to keep it going. It'll be annoying if it lengthens my cycle & I haven't conceived though! If it's not happening this month, id rather AF arrive on Saturday as expected & we can move onto cycle 4. I just wish you could tell what's going on! I hate the limbo of the 2ww...

Acupuncture sounds great Mrs Was it painful at all? Sleeping sounds good, I'm sure that will help with the stress! I do think stress and periods seem to be quite closely linked for some people.

Ah I know what you mean Purple, but I guess at least you'll know it's helped with your LP if it does work! I know, how great would it be if your body could send you updates. Like 'nah egg not fertilised, don't get your hopes up love' haha!

There is definitely a second line there! What kind of test is it? How many dpo are you? Tentative congratulations!!

It's a clear blue easy. The non digital one. But I did a First response with the same sample and it was negative?!

It's definitely blue and not grey (despite the photo ) so it's not an evaporation line.

But I'm not taking it too seriously until I get a second positive. Plus it's such early days, anything could happen.

Hmm that is confusing that the FRER was negative. I suppose the best thing is to test again tomorrow morning. Really hope it's good news!

Agreed. I've used up all the tests that I had. So I'm going to buy a couple more this afternoon and do my best to leave them until the morning!!

There's a definite line but it looks quite far away. Can you take a picture of the whole test so we can see a proper distance perspective?!

I took the test apart as its so hard to see through the window. Definitely lines up with the window though.

Still perplexed re the FRER though if this really is a positive...

I do see the line ( very faint ) there too but I've heard the blue dye tests are notorious for giving false positives I'd trust a FRER or other pink dye test more. I'd test again tomorrow or Thursday with a FRER. 10dpo is still very early so fingers crossed there's a FRER positive to come for you!
