Ttc number 2!

Hello! Anyone thinking of ttc number 2? I have a 6 month old baby and don't want a big age gap between babies. AF has been a bit erratic over the past few months but DH and I have decided to make next month the first month of ttc. Anyone else sort of in the same boat?

Oh yeah and that's not mentioning the cycle I started on vitamins and bled for over a week mid cycle and also didn't ovulate until cd30 Angry

wherethefuckisthefuckingtuna · 13/08/2016 20:58

Sounds as though your cycles are headed in the right direction. Still so frustrating though. Hope your cycle lengthens out even more this month.

Which vitamins was it that disrupted your cycle so badly? I'll be sure to avoid them!!

I've had to come off my MS meds which makes me nervous. I worry that I'll deteriorate if I'm off them for a long time. Another reason I'm hoping to fall pregnant quicker this time around. But don't want to put too much pressure on myself. As stress triggers MS flares as well. It's a viscous cycle really!

MmmMalbec · 14/08/2016 06:32

Thanks, I really hope so too. It's been so frustrating. It was just the seven seas trying for a baby vitamins. They're one of the milder ones (compared to pregnacare) and I took them the month I conceived DS. But this time round I took them one month when we had decided we wanted to start trying in a few months and I ovulated really late so stopped them. Then decided to give them another go about 3 months later and had the cycle from hell. So bizarre!

Ah yeah that makes sense. Can you not take anything throughout your pregnancy either then?

PurpleHaze1 · 14/08/2016 07:51

That sounds v frustrating malbec!

Did a few people say they were testing today? Everything crossed for some BFPs!

MmmMalbec · 14/08/2016 08:31

It was Purple! How are you? I think there are some testers from tomorrow at least!!

Possibly a positive or very nearly a positive OPK this morning so hopefully not too long until OV for me now, cd19 today 😴

PurpleHaze1 · 14/08/2016 10:05

Ooh test again this afternoon malbec and you'll hopefully get a strong positive! It was CD19 I got my positive OPK.

I'm doing fine. Only 4dpo & so convinced this isn't our month that I'm pretty relaxed. Will see if I'm still saying that this time next week! Have started taking Bvits so hoping that helps lengthen my LP.

wherethefuckisthefuckingtuna · 14/08/2016 10:10

I caved and did a first response this morning. Stark white. Obvs... Only 8dpo. Why do I do this to myself?!

wherethefuckisthefuckingtuna · 14/08/2016 10:10

Fingers crossed for positive OPK soon Malbec

MmmMalbec · 14/08/2016 10:23

Thanks ladies! This is this mornings one...

Yeah perhaps a bit early where! When will you test again?

A lot of us here convinced this isn't our month isn't there!

When did you start the b vits Purple?

Ttc number 2!
wherethefuckisthefuckingtuna · 14/08/2016 10:35

Definitely too early for me. Going to leave it a couple of days. I just get all silly about it otherwise. Might ask DH to hide the pregnancy tests as I have no restraint :)

Ooh! That looks so close!!!!! I read once that you're likely to ovulate around 10-11am. I have no idea if that's true or not. But I usually test around then rather than first thing and I seem to get more accurate tests.

My OPK at 11am last Saturday -

Ttc number 2!
MmmMalbec · 14/08/2016 12:17

Haha sounds like a plan! 10dpo onwards is worth doing I think! How many FRERs have you got?

Yeah I'm going to take it as a positive warning to start doing every day for a few days but I'm expecting to see a proper dark positive tomorrow now! I did another at 11.30 and it was the same. I'm temping to confirm ovulation as well. Can't wait to have another kid and never have to think about all this shit again haha!

Sonnet18 · 14/08/2016 13:21

Haha same! Looking forward to not worrying about ovulation and all the other rubbish. Can't wait to just be like "oh I've got my period. Fair enough!" Instead of counting days and waiting...I'm cd10 so may try ovulation tests from tomorrow onwards although I tend to ovulate around day 18. Good luck to all those testing today and tomorrow!

Sorry you got a negative tuna (I'm going to call you tuna! Lol). But as you say, it's still super early. Plenty of time for a line to show up Smile

Started taking the Bvits the other day malbec. Not expecting it to help this cycle but hoping to see an improvement from next month. So far the only thing I've noticed is that my pee looks radioactive! Hmm

MmmMalbec · 14/08/2016 15:14

I know Sonnet, pre TTC it was always a surprise to me when AF arrived because I obviously wasn't counting or anything. Now it's literally in the back of my mind every bastard day!!! I started the OPKs really early this month, don't think I'll bother until much later next month because it's depressing seeing all the BFNs even if it is just on an OPK!!

Haha Purple, I've heard loads of people say the same thing! Which ones are you taking? I'm going to give it a go taking them after ovulation only and see what happens! I've just got a b complex from Asda so it's not crazy high quantities of anything. I think hardcore b6 users take like 1000mg which is very very high!!

PurpleHaze1 · 14/08/2016 19:38

1000mg malbec!? Bloody hell that seems a lot. I'm taking 200mg between now & AF then going to reduce to 100mg between AF & positive opk. If that makes sense? This is what my friend did & she got her BFP shortly after trying the b-vits. Apparently it can lengthen your cycle overall (ie not just luteal phase) which I'd rather avoid so don't want to take too high a dose. I got a multi b-vit one from Holland & Barrett. It says it helps with fatigue too which would be handy as I seem to always be tired might have something to do with the nocturnal 2 year old!

MrsY87 · 14/08/2016 20:15

Hi ladies, only CD7 here so have started on the CB OPKs(stupid short cycle!) but obviously not even a smiley face yet!
Sorry to hear about the negative where...fingers crossed you just tested too early!

I've booked myself in for acupuncture tomorrow evening primary aim is to help my LP but also thinking it might help me de-stress and relax....what are you all doing to help relax and have time to yourselves? I find it near impossible with DD to look after, full on job, house to run etc. My DH is great but I still feel line most childcare falls on me!

Wow 1000g Malbec! I've started on extra 200g every few days, has anyone else found that they have had a really dry mouth since taking vits in general?

MmmMalbec · 14/08/2016 20:35

Haha sorry ladies, totally misread what someone I know is taking. She's actually on 100mg not 1000!! Whoops! Much more normal eh!

Makes sense to take more between OV and AF Purple. Even the small amounts in the vitamins delayed my ovulation by over a week. I'm not sure it's normal to be so affected by small doses though. I'm just going to give a bog standard lose dose complex a go after OV this time. Takinf b6 has got really good reviews online so I think it'll work for you. It did for me when I was TTC DS.

Mrs let us know how you get on with the acupuncture. I had some reflexology for relaxation which I loved. I also started doing some yoga during nap time. I haven't been great at keeping up with that though. My plan this TWW is to read when I have the chance to try and stop myself from obsessively googling!

Sonnet18 · 14/08/2016 21:41

Reading is good! I always read before bed- helps me sleep a bit better! I did yoga when pregnant but haven't really got back into it. Just don't have the time!
Oh I'd be interested to hear about the acupuncture too! Good luck with it!

MmmMalbec · 15/08/2016 07:31

I did yoga when I was pregnant too, I only really went to spend some time with other pregnant women, but I still enjoyed it! Yeah I literally do some stretches and breathing whilst ds is asleep every now and then and call it yoga!!!

Positive OPK this morning woohoo!! How long after positive do you all ovulate? I'm temping too so I'll know for sure but was just curious!

PurpleHaze1 · 15/08/2016 07:55

I did yoga when I was pregnant as well. I went back after DD was born but only stuck it out for a couple of months.

Reading and watching the Olympics are my current distractions of choice.

That's great about the positive OPK malbec. I don't temp so not sure how soon after I ov. Will be interesting to see what your temps do. Get shagging!

MrsY87 · 15/08/2016 08:05

I did yoga when I was pregnant too and then did a lovely post natal class, have been thinking about starting it up again but finding the time to commit to a weekly class seems to be difficult!

So a bit of a surprise, got a static smiley on my CB test this morning, a bit odd as I wasn't expecting it for another few days and haven't seen any high days, straight from low to peak! Maybe the B6 has made me ov earlier? If it is right and my cycle length stays the same then my LP will be much longer this cycle! Woohoo!

PurpleHaze1 · 15/08/2016 08:24

How long is your cycle usually MrsY? Is this you on CD8? Straight to peak is what happened for me with the CB tests but I think mine was faulty. I've read that straight to peak can happen though!

MmmMalbec · 15/08/2016 08:32

I'll let you know when I officially am in the TWW (might still be a ten day wait for me....) Oh that's interesting then Mrs, I have heard people say b6 has brought their OV forward too. Hopefully you're one of those people. I can't believe some people ovulate so early though, seems like forever waiting for my ovulation some times. It's great when I'm not TTC but drags like F when I am!!

MrsY87 · 15/08/2016 08:49

Purple it's been between 22-25days but didn't get a peak until CD15 last cycle and then AF showed up on CD23 hence thinking I had a short LP. Only on CD8 today so I've got a peak much earlier than last month!

How long are your cycles Malbec? Hope you don't have to wait too much longer!

MmmMalbec · 15/08/2016 10:50

Oh well hopefully last month was just a one off with the short LP then. Usually 32 days on average. When I conceived DS they were 35 day because my LP was longer. I think I'll probably ovulate on Wednesday!xx
