Ttc number 2!

Hello! Anyone thinking of ttc number 2? I have a 6 month old baby and don't want a big age gap between babies. AF has been a bit erratic over the past few months but DH and I have decided to make next month the first month of ttc. Anyone else sort of in the same boat?

Sorry to hear that purple :( but I'm glad to hear your LP was a bit longer this month. That's really promising.

And yes - I can totally imagine Sod's law meaning this month is your month!! Onto ovulation countdown now then!

Time is flying this time around! I think partly because I feel this remaining period of having undivided time with DS is so precious. He'll never be an only child again in 31 weeks time!

Sorry to head AF arrived purple but at least you had a good LP this cycle, fingers crossed for next cycle, Sod's law totally says that next month will be your month!

Just went to kids birthday party and someone asked me when we were having no 2, just wanted to be like...I'm trying!!!!!instead I just laughed said not yet and drunk a glass of Champagne!

DD is almost 27 months sonnet so she'll be 3 in June. Tbh a 3 year age gap was my plan so it'd be perfect if it happened this month

I'm ok, it's not the first time it's happened since the mc but I was just surprised as the person who asked me had ivf to have her baby so you'd think she'd know better having been there herself! I'm sure it won't be the last time either, maybe next time I'll just answer with the truth and see their reaction!

Booked an early scan. It's on Thursday at 7:30pm. Exciting! But also a bit nerve wracking at the same time

My final post mc bloods yesterday showed hcg of 12...Only 8dpo so assuming the hcg is left over from mc rather than a new pg but who knows?! Think I most prob need to hold out to see if AF shows rather than test early due to risk of a false positive....feeling a bit in limbo again and trying not to get my hopes up!

Oh MRS how confusing!!

I didn't think you could ovulate until hcg was below 5 but I could very well be wrong so don't want to get your hopes up that this is possibly a new pregnancy.

I have had a bit of a stressful time in that had a brown discharge yesterday morning so obviously given my history of two miscarriages this sent me in to a total panic and meltdown.

Tried to ring midwifes (haven't even been contacted back to arrange booking appointment) and no answer so was left in limbo all day really. Luckily I'd ordered a home doppler which arrived so after about an hour searching I managed to find the heartbeat at 8 plus 2!! Which is two days earlier than I found it last time. Such a relief to hear a heartbeat. Really thought this pregnancy was over at about 6 weeks as my sore boobs and cramps went away and was just left worh the sickness which is what happened with my MMC so I have been horrendously in a bad mood and stressed out then to get the discharge yesterday I just burst into tears as I thought it was all happening again!

I still need to try contact the midwives though to arrange my booking appointment. I've left messages an no one's getting back to me. I'll be 9 weeks Monday so need to sort out 12 week scan etc!!

Sorry for the long posy just had such a worrisome couple days and not been able to talk to anyone except OH in real life.

Mrs that's just stressful in itself isn't it? Maybe leave it another 5 days or so to test? Although, I know only too well how tempting it is to POAS.

Loz how awful for you. I'm glad you found the heartbeat! I had a go with my doppler from last time, but only tried for 5 mins and then gave up! I hope your midwife gets in touch soon! Can you contact the department and see if they can arrange your appointment? Mine goes through my GP surgery, not sure how it works in other areas.
I'm glad you're feeling a bit happier about everything now.

5.5 hours until scan. Not that I'm clock-watching or anything :)

How confusing mrs! I guess for now you just need to wait this one out.

Oh loz that's scary! I couldn't cope with that! What kind of Doppler have you got? I looked into getting one last year and didn't really know what type to buy.

It's a sonoline b sonnet. It says from 12 weeks but most women that have reviewed it say that found heartbeat from 8 -10 weeks so it's pretty good really. I only paid 30 quid on ebay!!

Yes so confusing I thought I'd ov'd as had pos opk, temp rise and ov pain but now I'm not so sure! Got some light cramps today too so thinking AF is most prob on the way so on to cycle 7 I think, I'm actually starting to lose count of how many cycles it's been now

Oh loz glad you managed to find a heartbeat, hope you manage to get in touch with your midwife soon !

I guess you never know mrs...I suppose you could take a test and see if it shows positive just now and then take another in a few days and it'll either be negative (if your hormone levels are going down) or positive if pregnant? Worth a try?

The thought had crossed my mind sonnet but sort of think I'd rather just deal with AF than a positive and then negative as feel the positive might just get my hopes up more!

on the positive if AF does show, we are off on holiday next weekend without DD so at least I can make the most of long haul business class if I'm not pg!
