Ttc number 2!

Hello! Anyone thinking of ttc number 2? I have a 6 month old baby and don't want a big age gap between babies. AF has been a bit erratic over the past few months but DH and I have decided to make next month the first month of ttc. Anyone else sort of in the same boat?

Only for a couple of months and I came off in October last year because it wasn't agreeing with me. Periods came back straight away so I don't think it's that. It's very odd. I think I might just need a couple of months without supplements to let things get back to normal.

Yeah, great news the b6 has worked but it's annoying if you don't think you're pregnant. At least you know to carry on with it next month though. Are you 11/12dpo today?

Sonnet18 · 22/08/2016 07:40

purple what cycle day are you on? How regular are your cycles normally?

I am on cd19 now and still no positive opk so I think I missed it, will ovulate late or maybe no ovulation at all this month?! Who know with my crazy cycles!

OP posts:
PurpleHaze1 · 22/08/2016 08:09

How long are your cycles usually sonnet?

I thought I had regular 28 day cycles but I've been on the pill, then pregnant then bf-ing then on the implant for the past few years so I don't really know. My first two cycles off the implant were exactly 28 days so I assumed that was the norm for me.

I think I'm going to temp next cycle.... I hate all the guesswork!

PurpleHaze1 · 22/08/2016 08:10

Forgot to say I'm on CD31 now

wherethefuckisthefuckingtuna · 22/08/2016 08:22

Thank you all for your reassurance yesterday. And sorry I wrote and ran. Took DS to the zoo and then I spent the afternoon snoozing as it wiped me out.

Mrs I hope the bleeding doesn't mean anything. Is there anyone you can contact? Have you heard back from EPU?

Malbec how are you doing today?

Purple and Sonnet Crazy cycles sound like a nightmare :(

I'm in the office today. Boss is on holiday all week. Happy days!!

MrsY87 · 22/08/2016 08:51

Thanks for all your reassurance. Spotting seems to have pretty much stopped, nothing more over night so feeling more positive than yesterday. Waiting for GP and EPU to call me back, hopefully someone will soon!

My boss is on holiday too tuna so I haven't even gone in just working from home! Glad you had a good day yesterday, hope your feeling more positive today too.

Purple sorry you got a BFN but on the plus side it sounds like the B6 has helped you to lengthen your LP. Glad your DP is being supportive, ttc is hard on them as well I think even if they sometimes don't show the emotions as much.

Malbec glad to hear the spotting has stopped, it's good that your periods came back straight away, maybe seeing how your cycle is without any supplements will be helpful.

Sonnet hope you have been DTD just incase you have missed it!

Sonnet18 · 22/08/2016 08:52

Previously (before baby!) I was on a 30 day cycle with no issues at all. After baby (didn't bf) got my period around 13 weeks postpartum then had a 35 day cycle followed by a 26 day one! I'm currently cd18 or 19 and no sign of anything so your guess is as good as mine for what'll happen this month! It's so frustrating. I'm thinking that this won't be our month at all as I think I have missed ovulation (plus hubby been away for work!) so I'm now just kinda waiting for AF to come so I can work out my cycles and go from next month!

I may join you on the temping!

tuna hope you feel better about things today!

Sounds frustrating purple! Do you have any signs of impending AF today?

How are you feeling today Tuna? Still worrying or have you relaxed a little now.

loztredders · 22/08/2016 08:54

Good news that you've had no more bleeding MRS. Hope it stays that way now so you can stop worrying

wherethefuckisthefuckingtuna · 22/08/2016 10:46

Feeling a bit better today. But still feel like I shouldn't get my hopes up. I'm this feeling eases off soon. And I think I will definitely book a private scan for 8 weeks for reassurance. Won't book for a couple of weeks though.

Hope you're all having a nice Monday

loztredders · 22/08/2016 10:51

I've just retested again and really wish I hadn't as I'm sure the line isn't as dark as it should be by now. Now I'm worrying :-(

loztredders · 22/08/2016 10:52

Glad you're feeling a little better today Tuna

wherethefuckisthefuckingtuna · 22/08/2016 11:05

Ah Loz we're our own worst enemies aren't we?!

I'm just not testing now for a week. I don't think I can stay sane if I keep testing. I need to try and chill about it. Easier said than done though

Sonnet18 · 22/08/2016 11:07

No more re-testing! It'll drive you mad! For those who are pregnant, you are pregnant. A line won't tell you anything and cannot change any outcome that may happen...it'll just worry you!

I hope I don't sound mean! Just don't like the idea of everyone worrying and stressing out! Smile

loztredders · 22/08/2016 11:25

You're so right sonnet and we all know that but it's so hard to stay rational haha

I'm hoping it's just because it was only an hour hold after a coffee :-/

Ttc number 2!
Sonnet18 · 22/08/2016 11:28

How many days past your period are you? If this is roughly when your period is due then I would say that line is perfect!!

OP posts:
Sonnet18 · 22/08/2016 11:29

Ps- hcg (is that the right combo for hormone?!) doubles every two to three days...so line wouldn't get much darker anyway! You're all good! Smile

OP posts:
loztredders · 22/08/2016 11:31

14dpo today

Sonnet18 · 22/08/2016 11:36

I think you'll be just fine

OP posts:
loztredders · 22/08/2016 11:36

Thank you. I hope so :-)

MmmMalbec · 22/08/2016 11:41

Yeah no more testing pregnant people! I bet you'd get a great line on a FRER Loz and you're literally 4 weeks pregnant. Some people don't even get a positive at this stage never mind a big fat line!! Don't worry. I know it's hard though!

Same to you Tuna. 8 week scan sounds a good idea though.

I've send my progesterone test off today so I'll see what that comes back with.

Yeah Sonnet it's HCG!

Really hard to know with periods. I think it's common to have changeable months and if we weren't tracking we'd have no idea. Very stressful. I'm trying to keep positive...!

loztredders · 22/08/2016 11:44

What's the progesterone test to assess for Malbec?

Sonnet18 · 22/08/2016 11:45

Is that a private test? What does the test consist of? I'm intrigued!

OP posts:
MmmMalbec · 22/08/2016 12:11

It's to see if my progesterone is low and that's why I have a short luteal phase/ early spotting. My GP said she had to refer me to a specialist to have it done and my local private hospital was charging £99 so I found a private lab online where you do a finger prick test and send it to them next day and they test it for you. If it comes back low then I'll ask the doctor for the specialist referral.

The online company also does HCG testing.... Just saying....Wink

MmmMalbec · 22/08/2016 12:12

That's meant to say sent it by next day delivery. So basically they'll get it before 1pm tomorrow and I should get my results within one working day after that!

The specialist is a NHS fertility specialist so I thought they'd think I was a bit of an idiot going so soon and that's why I didn't want to do that first!
