Ttc number 2!

Sonnet18 · 05/08/2016 20:10

Hello! Anyone thinking of ttc number 2? I have a 6 month old baby and don't want a big age gap between babies. AF has been a bit erratic over the past few months but DH and I have decided to make next month the first month of ttc. Anyone else sort of in the same boat?

Sorry about the bfn. Hopefully just taking its time to show. I'm only 5dpo today but had some very light spotting yesterday so guessing my body is still a mess and this isn't going to be my month. Feeling pretty down about it really Sad

PurpleHaze1 · 21/08/2016 07:27

Oh malbec Sad sorry about the spotting but hopefully it doesn't mean you're out. I've been feeling quite down this whole 2ww too. Can you do something today to take your mind off it all?

I need to go to the shops later & can't decide if it's worth getting a FRER to test tomorrow. What would you do? I'm trying to be positive that at least my LP isn't as short as I feared (presumably thanks to the B6). If I'm not pg, I'd rather it didn't drag on much longer though!

MmmMalbec · 21/08/2016 07:33

Yeah I'm going out later. Need to straighten my face though, I'm absolutely gutted.

Yeah if I was you I'd buy some FRERs, you might as well! Good need they your LP isn't looking too bad at all either Smile

MmmMalbec · 21/08/2016 07:33

*good news that your

loztredders · 21/08/2016 07:35

Purple I don't rate ICs really so wouldn't trust them 100 percent.
If it was Mr I'd be buying more tests but I'm addicted to POAS so that's just me.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you though.

I'm sorry you're feeling down Malbec and keeping my fingers crossed for you too.

loztredders · 21/08/2016 07:37

Oh sorry I think I'd be 13dpo today.
4 weeks pregnant tomorrow! Still so very early haha. That's the trouble with finding out early.

Didn't test until 6 weeks with my DD as we'd just gotten a puppy so was too busy to think about the possibility I might be pregnant!

MmmMalbec · 21/08/2016 07:44

Thanks Loz. Was it an IC you used Purple? If so definitely get a FRER, ICs are rubbish, especially this early!

PurpleHaze1 · 21/08/2016 07:48

Yeah it was one of the One Step thin strip ones. You've convinced me to get a FRER Smile If I don't have my period by tomorrow morning I'll use the FRER. As I'll be 11/12dpo by then I should get a conclusive answer one way or another

loztredders · 21/08/2016 07:50

Yea one step are bit rubbish. I'm sure they've changed them lately as I always thought they used to be good a couple years ago

MmmMalbec · 21/08/2016 07:57

How exciting Purple. Good luck!

MrsY87 · 21/08/2016 08:13

Sorry to hear your feeling down Malbec hopefully the spotting doesn't turn into an early AF for you.

How exciting purple fingers crossed for you with a FRER tomorrow!

5+1 today...Off out for lunch with family today, I'm sure they'll guess when I turn down my usual glass of white!

wherethefuckisthefuckingtuna · 21/08/2016 08:13

Loz I'm sorry about your losses :( must have been awful :(

Malbec I'm sorry you're feeling so down. I'm keeping everything crossed for you that you're not out this cycle.

Purple definitely worth getting an FRER.

I'm feeling a bit nervous. Lines aren't getting any darker. 15dpo today and a clear blue digi this morning still says 1-2 weeks. The test lines were so much darker when I was pregnant with DS. I know worrying won't change or help anything. But boobs aren't really sore anymore either. SadSad

loztredders · 21/08/2016 11:04

Sorry to see you're worrying Tuna.
If it's any help I have zero symptoms so far and every pregnancy is different so not sure you can rely on line strength to compare pregnancies, you could have implanted later with this baby

Sonnet18 · 21/08/2016 11:14

Don't panic- I had no symptoms until around 6 weeks when pregnant. How long ago did you get your first 1-2 weeks pregnant digi? You could've been 1 week then and now 2 weeks today? That make sense? I used digi when pregnant and it said 2-3 weeks then I waited a good 10 days or so and got a 3+

I still haven't ovulated...cd18...could it be the vitamin b?!

Oh tuna try not to worry. I had no clue I was pregnant with DD until about 6 weeks when I first started having symptoms.

I didn't bother buying a FRER after all. I hate seeing the BFNs and I'm sure I would've at least had a squinter on the IC at 10dpo. So I'll give it a few more days & see if AF shows...

MmmMalbec · 21/08/2016 18:21

Thanks for the sympathy everyone. I'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Hope AF stays away for you Purple.

Sorry you're feeling a bit stressed Tuna. Have you managed to put it out of your mind for a bit?

MrsY87 · 21/08/2016 19:46

Fingers crossed AF doesn't show up for your purple and you can test again in a few days.

Tuna try not to panic, easier said than done I know! I think the conception indicator is not supposed to totally reliable as hormone levels can vary drastically for every pregnancy. Hope you've managed to keep yourself busy today.

I've had some dark red/brown spotting today so not feeling quite down and worried. Have left a message with the EPU so will hopefully here back from them in the morning, only 5+1 so not sure they will do much other than tell me to wait and see what happens SadSad

Sonnet18 · 21/08/2016 20:02

MrsY- don't panic yet. I know it's hard, but try to stay calm. I had heard that dark blood is fine- it's old blood. Fresh bright red blood would perhaps be considered a bit more worrying (although not necessarily a problem!)

MrsY87 · 21/08/2016 20:13

Thanks sonnet. That's what I keep telling myself. It seems to have stopped now so fingers crossed that was it and there is no more in the morning.

MmmMalbec · 21/08/2016 20:37

My sister had a bright red bleed at 8 weeks and my niece was fine. It's definitely not always worst case scenario. Seems like you're just having a slightly bleedy start to this pregnancy. Hope it doesn't come back for you Mrs

MrsY87 · 21/08/2016 21:16

Thanks Malbec I'm trying to stay positive, it does seem a bit like that yes! Hope your spotting has stopped too

loztredders · 22/08/2016 06:54

Hope everything is ok MRS. Lots of people have bleeding and everything turns out just fine so I agree with Malbec that it's not always worst case scenario.

How are you feeling today Malbec, feeling a little better?

loztredders · 22/08/2016 06:54

Has AF shown her ugly face purple??

MmmMalbec · 22/08/2016 07:17

Fingers crossed for you Mrs.

It stopped yesterday afternoon but I don't think it'll be too long before AF arrives. I'm really unsure what to do. I'm going to stop all vitamins other than folic acid because this month has been worse than last month when I wasn't taking anything but I don't know whether to go to the doctor or whether to wait another couple of months to see what happens. It's been 4 months of crazy periods now though. Very stressful.

Hope AF has stayed away for you Purple

PurpleHaze1 · 22/08/2016 07:29

Hope you're ok Mrs

Sorry to hear your cycles are not settling down malbec. Were you on birth control after your DC?

Still no AF here but another negative with an IC. I had line eye last night & started to think I could see something on yesterday's test - I was imaging it, I'm sure! Definitely don't think it's my month. Frustrating that my cycle is now longer but I'm relieved that the B6 has obviously worked at lengthening my LP so hopefully next month we'll get lucky. DH is being very sweet about it all so I'm trying to stay positive. Just want AF to show now
