Ttc number 2!

Hello! Anyone thinking of ttc number 2? I have a 6 month old baby and don't want a big age gap between babies. AF has been a bit erratic over the past few months but DH and I have decided to make next month the first month of ttc. Anyone else sort of in the same boat?

I haven't told him yet grumpy. I don't even really know why! I just want to wait until I can show him a ClearBlue digital that says "Pregnant" as he'll think I'm jumping the gun too much with the early tests. I don't want to show him a squinter, want to show him a blazing positive!

Feel a bit queasy this morning... Not sure if it's the excitement or ridiculously early morning sickness?! I'm only 3w3d!

Not yet Malbec! I didn't get much sleep last night. Too much whizzing about in my head!

If it all works out, I'll be due 30/04/2016.

How is temping going?

Yeah I can imagine! I found it so so hard to sleep once I knew I was pregnant! Oh that's a good due date isn't it.

Had a big temp jump this morning so am presuming I've ovulated but need another two higher range temps to confirm it!

Looks like a big jump Malbec! I've never done temping. Does it always drop around ovulation then?

It does for me but apparently that's lucky if it does because it doesn't for everyone! That's a really big jump though. Hopefully it'll continue as high from tomorrow onwards. Slightly concerned it was a dodgy temp. But it does tie in with my OPK!

Impressive chart malbec! So does the dip mean you ovulated on that day (CD20)? And is that the same day you got your positive OPK? Sorry for the questions - I just find temping very confusing interesting

I've never taken my temperature. Tried it once before and pretty much forgot every day!! I've only used opks. If things don't go accordingly over the next few months then I might start temping!

No, basically pre ovulation your temperatures are lower because estrogen lowers your temperature. Your estrogen rises with LH as you're just about to ovulate so that can cause the really sharp temperature drop. But after you've ovulated the progesterone makes your temperature rise, so you've usually ovulated on the last day of lower temperatures before the (hopefully) sharp rise. You need 3 consecutive days of higher temperatures though to make sure it's not a fluke. So I think I ovulated yesterday because the temp rise has been the most significant today. Yesterday it raised a bit but not enough over my average temperature!

Some people see an implantation dip when temping as well, but I stopped temping when I confirmed OV with DS so I don't know if I got one then!

It does sound complicated!! I like to think of myself as a (reasonably!) educated person but for some reason I seem to not really understand it! Hopefully I will get my bfp in the next few months and not have to start temping (since I totally don't get it!!)

Yeah I temped for two cycles with DS and this is my second cycle this time. I find it pretty easy and interesting. People often say charting is stressful and whilst it might be for some people, I find it less stressful than not knowing when to expect AF! But I have to say it's harder when you have a child who wakes you up!!!

So are you going to do another test tomorrow?!

I might leave it a day. I feel like I'm stressing myself out and I don't want to feel that way. Might leave it for Friday morning - give things a chance to progress (or not )

I think temping sounds really interesting! I'm glad it brings you some calm :)

Things will progress! What makes you think they won't?
You have had a good few positives now so just relax as best you can and tell your hubby!

I'm sure things will progress for you too but I can understand why you'd want to leave it a few days to get a much darker line. I am slightly hoping you change your mind though so we can see another BFP this morning ha ha!

My morning test was negative. Think what I saw yesterday was an evaporation line.

Probably for the best for now! Wedding planning is reaching peak stress!
