There wasn't any more room for moaning with all those grinny smilies's eyes following me around the room.

Suspected (my own self-diagnosis) perimenopause, anyone?

CRAP CRAP CRAP! after getting 3 BFPs on friday and boasting about my dh's superduper rambo sperm i have now had cramps, bright red blood and clotted blood this morning. i feel like such a knob for getting so excited. i am only 17dpo so if i hadn't tested i would have just thought af was late and would never have known. i am confused about what to do, dont want to accept that i might not be pg anymore. CRAP!

lissielou · 28/01/2007 21:30

oh greedy have you rung nhs?

rahrah1 · 28/01/2007 21:41

greedy... (( so sorry this has happened. I don't know much about early pregnancy, as had my problems after 9 weeks. All I can say is I had lots of bleeding and the baby was still there... so you never know... Every time I went to the hospital it is really hard to understand but they could never do anything... They just said, wait and let nature takes it course. Again not something else you want to hear when this is happening. Try and rest tonight and then call your GP in the morning and see what they suggest. Hopefully they will be able to detect the pregnancy. Really going to be thinking of you and praying that all is OK...

Much love and hugs XX

cityangel · 28/01/2007 21:42

Greedy that's really tough. Go see the doctor asap and get some answers.

Please know we are here for you xxx

lissielou · 28/01/2007 21:44

rahrah, when did you have your bleeds? and how heavy?

leahsmum · 28/01/2007 21:49

hi sorry for gatecrashing this thread but I saw your last msg greedy and had to add. I had a miscarriage in Jan 05 at 12 weeks which came from a lot of bleeding over a matter of 5 or 6 weeks - scanned more or less everyweek and all was well until 12 weeks.
Fell pregnant again in May 06 and thought the same thing was happening as I had heavy bleeding including clots but scans showed all was well. All has continued to be well and I am now 37 and a half weeks preg.

I really hope it works out well for you and you are still preg and your pregnancy continues safe and well.

GOOD LUCK!!!!

ammylovesbabies · 28/01/2007 21:49

leahsmum · 28/01/2007 21:50

lissielou · 28/01/2007 21:51

leahsmum, how many weeks were you?

rahrah1 · 28/01/2007 21:52

I had my first bleed at 10 weeks on my second pregnancy. (I have had a pregnancy before, I stared bleeding at around 9 weeks on that one) The 10 weeks one was a night mare... it just flooded out and was gushing. It filled up my shoes! I had big liver like clots. But the baby was still there in both pregnancies. The first pregnancy I lost at around 13 weeks and the 2nd 24 weeks (Bertie).

lissielou · 28/01/2007 21:53

didnt mean to be insensitive just struggling a bit at the mo

duchesse · 28/01/2007 21:56

Thank you, Leahsmum, that is reassuring for me as well. I had exactly the same type of miscarriage as you, starting with bleeding at 4 weeks, with 3 major bleeding episodes and continuous bleeding from 8-13 weeks, and ending in feotal death at 12 weeks and miscarriage at 13 weeks.

leahsmum · 28/01/2007 21:56

I lost tha baby at 12 weeks and had a d&c 2 days later.

This time bleeding started around 6/7 weeks and stopped about 13.

duchesse · 28/01/2007 21:57

And commiserations to Greedy.

NP Lissie, Ask any questions, I don't mind.

leahsmum · 28/01/2007 21:59

Me neither - as long as it helps.

rahrah1 · 28/01/2007 22:00

duchesse, how do you find out if you have ADRENAL FATIGUE?, I know I have a habit of self diagnosis, but the symptoms are very much what I suffer from, long before I was pregnant.

lissielou · 28/01/2007 22:00

i started bleeding on weds since then its been on and off, quite heavy but lighter than af. this morning i tested and it was bfp. got scan on tues, but a bit freaked

greedyforbabies · 28/01/2007 22:02

thanks everyone. i guess i was hoping to hear some stories of hope from someone. i like your story leahsmum, thanks.
i feel stupid cos i wasnt too concerned about my spotting cos i have had it before in previous pgs, but it does seem really different this time. the problem is everything is so VAGUE on the internet.................miscarriage symptoms.......pain or no pain, heavy bleeding or light spotting, how are you ever supposed to know?

anyway! this is the hut afterall, so lets stop all the niceness and someone pass me a drink!

leahsmum · 28/01/2007 22:04

Apologies - im new to mn whats af? bfp?

Just scanned the thread not actually read it all - apologies again for gatecrashing.

Just saw you having worries lissie-there isnt much info available on bleeding which is rather frustrating. Cant they scan you before Tuesday?

lissielou · 28/01/2007 22:05

nope, and werent even going to do it then til i kicked off.

greedyforbabies · 28/01/2007 22:05

so how many weeks are you lissie? when did you start bleeding? tell me all.

lissielou · 28/01/2007 22:05

af is period
bfp is big fat positive

lissielou · 28/01/2007 22:07

i am/was 5w today started bleeding on weds, backache and red blood. then today stopped dead

leahsmum · 28/01/2007 22:07

I would honestly keep phoning them and push them into scanning you before then - its fine for them but its the longest wait for you. When I was bleeding (both this time and last) I was constantly on the phone. I got to the stage I was telling them i didnt even want a scan - just someone to tell me that everything was alright - Im sure they can take blood for your hcg levels and test again in a day or 2 to make sure it is rising as opposed to fallign.
