Morning - definitely in too good a mood this morning for the hut - not sure why the good mood, but not going to question it while it lasts!!

Anyway, 37.83 this morning, so up a little from yesterday. 11 DPO (well 11 days high temps - when do you count ov from, the day before temp rise or the day of temp rise?)

speak later

Tricky Mum03!

If you hadn't had that high temp on CD11, i'd say you could have ov'd on CD12, but technically, you only had 3 temps higher than your previous 6 on CD17, making you ov on CD14 - can see why your software is confused!!!

Have you tried warming your thermometer up in your mouth before you switch it on? Greedy suggested it and I find it does make your temps more stable? Worth trying next time you're TTC, as obviously this cycle you'll conceive!!

take care

Fettle, you mean that my optimism isn't annoying?? Most people get irritated by it. I'm feeling really great actually. Already started with "Mission Conception" this month

Lottie, you need to start having enjoyable sex!!!! Honestly, I don't mean to sound smug (honest I don't) but if I didn't enjoy it, I wouldn't bother.

Mum03, it's really difficult to tell from your chart. I am inclined to agree with the others. Are you taking more than one reading on your thermometer? I take 2 or 3 just to be sure, and warm it up first.

Greedy, don't mention the snow. We have a pathetic dandruff amount and I am not happy.

God it has taken me ages to log on... even the internet is slow in Wales...

Glad all is well..

Sorry I mixed your scans up... how exciting Fettle..it is amazing seeing that little heartbeat..hard not to get too excited now! I was overwhelmed the first time we saw Bertie...Our first scan was just under 7 weeks.. That is where he got his names from 'Burt'n'Baby' In a couple of weeks I bet you will be feeling rough as a dog..hehe..

catch you guys tomorrow.. X

Morning --- you lazy lot where are you guys?

I'm so pissed off... Had a temp shift this morning, but no other signs at all that I was ovulating. Only had sex on Monday night and last night, so think I might of missed the boat this month if have ovulated. Had no pains, no CM, and no positive OPK's???????whats all that about! It is also really hot in this house would that have anything to do with it?

Rah - hot house could make a difference - see what it is like tomorrow. As has been said before I don't think ov sticks are always realiable. I also never get realiable ov pains - only occasionally feel them. As for EWCM - hardly ever notice that, but then could be why it takes me so long to conceive.

Last night, may have been ok, as you probably ov'd yesterday or Wed eve, so egg would still be around. Alternatively if you ov'd on Wed earlier, sperm from Monday would still be around - so I don't think you have to worry too much. Remember the gap that Greedy's DH's sperm had to contend with!!!

Take care and enjoy Wales!

Hope everyone else is ok.

Thanks fettle...much appreciated.. I think to be honest I am hurting so badly after Bertie the only thing that makes me feel slightly better is the thought of being pg. My confidence seems to waiver and also my emotions. I have been crying all morning..as just don't want anymore disappointment..But that does not seem to be life! I feel on such a downer at the moment... it could be as we are away and in someone else's house! But then tomorrow I might pick up again, so it just seems to be so many up's and down's.

I have done everything possible to get pg this month

  • Healthy eating
  • Reflexology
  • Temp charting
  • CM watching
  • Pre-seed

Maybe I've tried to hard??? God life sucks sometimes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for the moan but this TTC is really dragging this month...on day 19 and don't know if I've ovulated or not..I'm sodding well confused!

If I knew what I do now, I would of started to try and get pg in my 20's..

Ready · 09/02/2007 10:51

Lottie, PHEW! For a minute i was thinking you were just making a baby. Sorry, rude of me wasn't it. How about not telling DP when the crucial times are so he doesn't need to worry about the pressure??

Fettle That's one for the heartbeat, yay, how exciting. And one for conceiving on top and another for good measure.

Honeyapple, your temp is "plateau-ing" now I see... do you use the second decimal place at all?? Fingers are tightly crossed for you.

RahRah, I definitely think that being in a different house will make a difference to your temperature. Considering you have been quite chilly, if you are suddenly in a much warmer house, it would have an impact IMO. I would say concentrate more on your CM and pains, if you normally get accurate results from them, oh and of course plenty of sex, just to be sure

BBWBabeLisa, you've been awfully quiet. Hope you are just busy?? I saw your temp has dropped on your chart. I hope it was just a case of a disturbed sleep

Mum03, Hope your temp is still high, your chart looks promising!! No early testing remember though

Minxi, Cycle bud!! Looking forward to OV, are you? Silly question We've already started though, really eager this cycle Good luck petal!!

Iwillbe... Keeping busy is a good thing no? You don't have time to think about ttc!!

Hope Greedy and MrsMc are well too... Mustn't leave you out just cos you are pg and have your new set of friends Just kidding... please don't be offended.

Ready · 09/02/2007 10:57

Oh Rahrah, so sorry, crossed posts with you. Then I read yours and burst into tears. I am so sorry that you are so anxious and down about ttc, this month. I can't even begin to imagine how hard this all is for you. You need to try and relax and enjoy this holiday.

I agree with you... If I knew what I know now, I would have started trying in my early 20s!! Hindsight is a wonderful thing isn't it.

Hang in there (such futile words, I know, but honestly, I don't know what better to say! )

Really hope that you conceive soon, you are truly a wonderful person and deserve so much happiness.

Rahrah {{{hugs}}} hope you are okay, try and relax this weekend and enjoy the break it will be worth it in the end but more stressing will not!! I can't imagine how you are feeling but my thoughts are with you xx

Lottie - hope things are going well and juicing is sprucing up things with all your extra energy sorry you too are going through a difficul time but try to relax too and enjoy

mum03, honey and bbw hope this is the month for you girls, fingers x'd x'd x'd

No more hot x buns today - am back to being good... went to see Dr today as some of you know was on that daft depo and my last injection was nov 2004, well had bloods done last nov 06 and ovulating fine he said the numbers for whatever had to be over 25 to show ov and mine was 48 !! yipee

anyway now DH has to do a sample not during the next two weeks though as ov coming up, in the meantime he is referring me to see a gynea which on the nhs can take up to 3 months, which isn't too bad and he is doing it now as he is assuming Dh will be clear as I have 2 others!!

so very exited and quite pleased as I am only just over 35 by nearly 2 weeks and they take me v seriously My dr I see is an ex fertility expert so he basically thinks relax forget opk's and bbt just enjoy - easier said than done after 2 years!! Anyway at least something will be going along and if I get pg in the meantime then great

anyway ....Fettle glad you saw a heartbeat and everything going well... Greedy and MrsMC hope you are both okay too... keep up updated !!

fettle · 09/02/2007 12:52

Rah - I'm so sorry to hear you down. You give a good impression of coping so well. It is no wonder you are still having bad days, it really is not long since you lost Bertie and I would imagine it will take a while, if ever, to feel better.

Unfortunately, as I'm sure you well aware, the stress that your poor body is under doesn't make TTC any easier, which leads you into a horrible cycle. I wish there was something I could do to make it better for you - I really cannot imagine what you have been through the last few months. I don't suppose it actually makes it any easier to be told there is nothing wrong and you will conceive within 18 months. Help - I'm just stating the obvious aren't I, sorry!

Oh, try and take comfort that we are all here for you whenever you need us - and try and enjoy your time with DH.

Take care

Minxi - crossed posts with you.

Great news on the results - I conceived DD as soon as I was refered to a fertility clinic after 2 years TTC.

And I was re-referred last November and I've conceived twice since then, so you never know that might be exactly what you need!!

When i phoned to cancel my appointment, the secretary said that this particular consultant has a very high success rate of pregnancy, without even seeing the patients for the first time! Unfortunately, he can't claim them on his success figures!!

Good luck!

Thanks for checking the chart fettle and ready, I think it will remain an unknown mystery as to when I o'd again, gives ready a good chance to make me test even later, if I get that far! I leave the thermometer in my mouth for about a minute before starting it, then I take 3 consequative readings (more if I am not sure!!!!) Some nights I sleep with my mouth open, and so like this morning my readings went up from 36.6 to 36.9, I only stop when I get two consequetive readings the same. I know I ought to take the readings the other way but I am just not into doing that, just feels a bit ott for me!

Rah {{{{{{hugs}}}}}}, {{{{{more hugs}}}}}}, you are allowed to feel like you do, it is ok to miss your little angel Bertie, and you are allowed to have down days, just try to find something good on your time away to enjoy, and see if you can relax a little if possible. I think of you each morning as I see the tiniest baby in the SCBU.

Sorry got to get work done, still a crazy morning, I will try to come back later if I can.

rahrah1 · 09/02/2007 14:05

Thank you so much guys for your words of encouragement... It really does help! Thanks You {{{{{{Group Hug}}}}}}}}

greedyforbabies · 09/02/2007 16:53

rahrah - i was going to say lots of nice stuff too, but everyone else beat me to it! try not to worry about ov'ing, if you have already then you had a couple of good sessions beforehand and like fettle said, remember that sperm really CAN live for 4 or 5 days!

minxi - i didnt realise it had been so long that you had been ttc for. your gp sounds great and like fettle said (you are very wise fettle!) you will p[rob get pg now that you have been referred anyway.

any new BBW? you are keeping quiet!

i need to reread the thread to remember what else i was going to say!

minxi · 09/02/2007 17:19

I know greedy - I only put 7th cycle ttc down because thats when my cycles returned back to normal... but saying that time has gone by very quickly and now I kind of look at it that both DS took 9 months ttc that this one is only a matter of time....now cycles are normal...

Although not sure why I want another one when both DS are driving me cccrrraaazzzyy tonight!!

Sorry not been around, feeling like crap. Temp plummeted today from around 36.6 since ov to 36.17 this morning. SW is predicting period tomorrow and I reckon the temp backs it up. Oh well. Thats me out of the TTC running til Christmas. Will still pop in and say hello tho if thats alright.

Doh, it's bbw - new valentines nickname!

greedyforbabies · 09/02/2007 19:51

BBW - i love your new name!
so if af arrives then you are definately taking a break until xmas? seems like a long time, but it will probably do you the world of good! dont forget us all will you?

ForcesSweetheart · 09/02/2007 22:20

Yeh greedy, definitely taking a break from trying. Not gonna go out of our way to avoid it (have researched online to make sure theres no huge risks to the pills I'll be taking should I fall) but not gonna actively try.
Won't forget you lot, will keep the threads on my watch list so I can share everyones good news when it happens. I bet by the time I'm ready to start trying again you'll all have graduated and I won't know anyone!
Best of luck everyone still ttc, and those of you with bumps - I can't wait to hear your birth announcements!
