Morning - definitely in too good a mood this morning for the hut - not sure why the good mood, but not going to question it while it lasts!!

Anyway, 37.83 this morning, so up a little from yesterday. 11 DPO (well 11 days high temps - when do you count ov from, the day before temp rise or the day of temp rise?)

speak later

I'll check my TCOYF book later, not sure about sperm!! but I think sperm float, EWCM sinks. The book says you might see a ball of EWCM sink in the loo if your lucky!! Normal CF and arousal fluid dissolves in water, which is why you can see EWCM in water.

Does that make sense?
Just been told to get of computer by DD, so I have to go!!

I thought ew and sperm sank to the bottom?

Ready - hope you are feeling better, I know how you feel as I have been feeling like that half the week and the other half have no idea what to think...not for this month anyway!

I am testing tomorrow and I apologise to CBF if she thinks that is wrong but in my book late is when af is due...!! DH home tonight and he agrees well didn't tell him I was going to tell half of mumsnet

If it is a bfn then so be it, I will have to believe that period is genuinely late!!

Hope the rest of you all have a lovely weekend, those of you ovulating - hope this is your lucky month

fettle · 02/02/2007 19:07

Just googled "does sperm sink?" and came up with the following!

"semen: sink or float?

When I was in high school this question came up.

After quizzing our entire grade at a private baptist school for their opinions, 5 guys volunteered to experiment. one by one, they filed in and attempted to masturbate into a public toilet. only 3 succeeded.

some of it sank, some of it floated.
more sank than floated.

we took pictures of the results."

Therefore, don't think we can use sinking or floating as a definition of sperm!!!

Have a great weekend, everyone - off to London to visit my sister tomorrow, so back on Sunday.

Well I shall be saving my tests for next month, af has arrived with a vengeance!! Okay and have now cracked open the wine waiting for DH to fly back in !! Funny as 3 hours ago we were talking about testing and getting partly excited and now when he gets home I have to tell him about period

rahrah1 · 02/02/2007 22:02

I am obviously a "slow riser" when it comes to bbt and ov, I don't know if it will be clear when I o'd this month like last month. or perhaps I am just impatient!

As you can see... my menstrual cycle is running like clockwork. Which has got to be a good thing? Right?

Thanks to all of your for your support yesterday (and always really!) - I am doing ok. CD1 today, and I had a few tears last night on DHs shoulder. I really am lucky to have him, he just seems to know the right things to say. I started asking if he was angry at me for not making his baby. I know, what a tit I am!!

Greedy, The hormones certainly don't help me!! I do slide into a little well of self-pity - but I try not to stay there too long PMSL at your filthy dreams BTW

Fettle, I was only in the hut for a dash of realism, because part of me kept pretending that my temp dip etc was a mistake (idiot!) To be honest, it's a little hardcore for me now, bless 'em all. I couldn't stay that downtrodden for that long. It'd kill me. Always funny as heck though aren't they!

BBWBabeLisa, Thanks for your thoughts, and sharing about your experience. 18 months I am not sure I would remain positive for that long. Good on you! totally worth the wait I should imagine

MrsMcJnr, You are so right, why shouldn't it happen soon!? It will happen, it will happen.

Mum03, I am definitely up for the challenge!! I shall do my best to keep you from testing early!! You can resist!

Honeyapple, crucial time how's it all going??

Lottie, I agree with everything you said (as always ) Like you and Fettle said, my cycle is seemingly normal, and LP is long enough too from the looks of things. I will give some of that visualisation a go.

Minxi, the ClearBlueFairy doesn't mind people testing so long as it's not before you are due. Go for it. Fingers crossed.

Right... well, my tummy is in BITS, I feel as sick as a dog... but my spirit is returning. Onwards and upwards!!

good luck everyone.

BBWBabeLisa · 03/02/2007 13:24

Am chuffed to bits to hear that greedy!

mum03 · 03/02/2007 13:29

Yey! greedy, so glad that the bleeding is abating, hope you are beginning to enjoy the pg now, or are you waiting til tomorrow after the scan to start relaxing? I hope that the scan shows a wonderful little sac snuggly in the right place right size and all.

Rah - you are getting plenty of exercise with your dh I hope, o anyday now isn't it.

BBW - my coverline last time was 36.56 according to ff, but my temps so far this month have been significantly higher than last month, not sure why. So my coverline I assumed would be higher this month around the 36 ish point, so perhaps I am just being a bit impatient, perhaps my temp will start showing a rise in the next couple of days. My cycle length varies too, my average cycle was 26 days, but last month was 28 and it looks like this one is going to be that long too.

Ready · 03/02/2007 13:44

So pleased to hear that Greedy!!! YAY!

greedyforbabies · 03/02/2007 14:18

hang on.............ready and BBW ..........are you pleased i have stopped bleeding ....or pleased i am feeling horny???????!!!!

ready - i told mrs at the start of JAN that jan was going to be THE month for me and her...............and what do you know.......i was right!!!! is this month your month? why not hey? think positive!

Ready · 03/02/2007 14:22

Both Greedy!! Both

If you tell me it's my month, then I shall believe you Greedy!! Your track record is great... do you want to stick your neck and reputation on the line and tell me this will be my month??

Ready · 03/02/2007 14:23

My post further down, I did say PMSL at your filthy dreams. It does cheer me up, reading your posts.

greedyforbabies · 03/02/2007 14:29

yes ready THIS is your month! i dont want to piss anyone alse off though by not telling them its their month too, but i do have a feeling about you!!!!
actually i am a bit psychic about pg, cos years ago i had a dream that one of my friends was pg and i rang her the next day to tell her and she was 11 wks pg! i had the same dream with her second pg too! but when i phoned her that time she said " i could be cos we are trying, i am due on in 2 weeks ask me again then!"
so that time i predicted it as she was concieving! SPOOKY HEY!!!!!

Ready · 03/02/2007 14:37

Well... if you can spare the time from your filthy dreams, and dream about me getting pregnant... then that would be most appreciated. I would be able to relax this cycle safe in the knowledge that it is going to be my month!!!

MrsMcJnr · 03/02/2007 16:25

Lottie ? PMSL at your loo analysis, luckily for me, I am too short-sighted to see things like that (awful thought just crossed my mind ? can you wear contact lenses in labour I wonder, I am not having the fist glimpse of my baby through steamed up glasses!)

Fettle ? trust the scientist love your research hon! Hope you are having a great time with you sis. I?m off to visit my littlest one next weekend

Minxi ? sorry to hear about AF hon, very disappointing. Same thing always happened to me, that?s why I never got to test much whilst TTC. Better luck this cycle. My advice, for what it is worth is REALLY get busy, seemed to work for us.

BBW ? I?ll be hoping and praying for a BFP for you next Sat!

Greedy ? for what it?s worth, DH and I are both feeling frisky too! So glad the bleeding?s stopped.

Glad to hear you are feeling better today Ready that?s more like you. IT WILL HAPPEN, promise! I?m with Greedy, February for an October/November baby sounds like it?s got your name on it.

Hey Honeyapple, how are you? And Rahrah? Busy?

rahrah1 · 03/02/2007 16:51

Still no sign of ovulation from me, but will do the business tonight ... I think it will be on CD18-20, as last month it was CD20

Ready · 03/02/2007 17:36

MrsMcJnr, from what I could gather, when I looked into it briefly, it is possible to wear lenses during childbirth. The midwife should be notified of the fact, so that if medical intervention is required, they would know to take them out.

rahrah1 · 03/02/2007 19:03

Anyone got any magical feelings about when I might conceive? ...I'm feeling down today so need cheering up.. Mine needs to be an Oct or Dec baby, as Bertie was born in Nov so thats his month
