Morning - definitely in too good a mood this morning for the hut - not sure why the good mood, but not going to question it while it lasts!!

Anyway, 37.83 this morning, so up a little from yesterday. 11 DPO (well 11 days high temps - when do you count ov from, the day before temp rise or the day of temp rise?)

speak later

Fettle and Greedy - thinking of you two.

rah - you need more bedclothes or the heating turned up or some good ol' exercise, you are still too cold!

Lottie - I read somewhere that during af temps can vary greatly, so I hope that is it for you and that you are not getting ill.

Minxi - is it your birthday today? if so - happy birthday,

minxi · 30/01/2007 09:48

Thank you for the birthday messages!
Lottie usually have brown stringy bits which starts about 2 days before which would be cd26 and then af starts properly cd27/28 - another mm of coloured cm so tiny but there all the same - so not sure, do have slightly sore bb's to touch around the sides which is v unusual for me but too scared to go and buy a test as don't want it to me bfn! Have to wait until at least Friday morning (in-laws arriving so would like to know b4 then as they like a good drink and feel I should stop for this week at least !) No idea basically!!

rahrah1 · 30/01/2007 09:53

mum03 - my heating on full blast (The heating bill will be massive), we have a deluxe electric blanket...but lack in the exercise department. Husband has just got a Wii, so will play a round of tennis on that ... lol

minxi - Try and wait until Friday to test... every time I test early its always a big disappointment. But I know how hard it is not to test. Good Luck.

rahrah1 · 30/01/2007 09:56

honeyapple - I know what you mean... I am trying to get my husband into a routine of getting off the computer by 10pm, so if we are going to have sex... then it will be nice instead of a quick half hearted baby making experience, that he can't really be bothered with because he's knackered. (He feels pressurised if its to make a baby) So last night he comes to bed after 11.15pm... yep he got the message loud and clear then... NOT!

fettle · 30/01/2007 10:28

Temp still up this morning, but down a little from yesterday ? just feel like I?m going to start spotting today ? don?t know why. Boobs aren?t as sore as they have been and I still don?t feel really sick. I know that every pregnancy is different, but I felt awful with DD and I?d feel happier if I felt awful now too!

Hope you are all doing ok ? hope you are not coming down with something Lottie. The last time I had such high temps during AF, I had a stinking cold, so put it down to that.

Happy Birthday Minxi ? hope you have a good day ? good news thatAF is late. Coloured CM could be a good sign ? good idea to wait a few days though it you can, there really is nothing worse than a BFN!

Rahrah ? have you been checked out for an underactive thyroid? Might be the reason for your very low temps and difficulty conceiving? Toni W in her TCOYF book covers low temps as a possible sign of hypothyrodism.

Honey, hope DH is more accommodating tonight!

Mum03, how are you today? Preparing for the next few days!!!

Ready, how you doing? Anymore AF signs ? keeping everything crossed for you, that it stays away.

Greedy, how you doing today? Any more bleeding? Really hoping our little beans hang on ? seem to take a long time these first few weeks! Try and keep positive, she says, knowing that she can?t do it herself!!!

Have good days everyone.

Ah so this is where you all are! I've been getting very lonely on the chart spotting thread this morning.

Happy birthday Minxi!

Fingers crossed for all TTC and Fettle, I hope all will be ok. I do know how you feel, it's so scary also for you Greedy, praying for you.

Its such a waiting game. I hope you don't mind me coming on here and talking about it, I don't know where else to go, I am still to nervius to go to the AN boards.

The Dr told me yesterday that if I get a +ive test next week from the sample I put in next Monday, she'll see me again on 12/2 to book in an early scan (7weeks). She did say the spotting was a worry and also the fact that family members have had ectopics and multiples. I guess she couldn't give me any reassuarance that the beanie would still be there when she tests for it next Monday but that was what I would have liked.

fettle · 30/01/2007 11:59

Hey MrsMc

don't worry too much, although as I said to Greedy, i'm not following my own advice. Remember I spotted for 2 weeks at beginning of pg with DD and my doctor didn't send me for any scans, but it had stopped by then. Are you still spotting? I was only sent for a scan when I had more spotting around 5 weeks.

I know what you mean about not wanting to join the antenatal threads just yet - perhaps we should start a very early pg thread here in conception - would that be allowed? At least all the other lovely ladies on here don't seem to mind still having us around! Thank you!

Your cold is a good sign, I'd say, as your immune system will be down, to stop you rejecting the bean! So snuggle down, watch some daytime TV and enjoy - in 9 months time, you'll miss duvet days!!!

Hey Fettle no spotting since Thursday. I am trying to stop knicker watching all the time!

I think it would be good to have an early pregnancy thread, after all, we are only a tiny bit pregnant! I never let myself read anything about being pregnant until I was and I really know nothing at all!

I did read that about my immune system going down, a bit scary as I had a really serious auto immune virus 2 years ago that knocked me out for 6 months. That's another reason that I thought I'd stay at home today, give myself more of a chance to clear the cold without more outside bugs from the office.

Hello Lottie I did tell one trusty friend on the hen and she'd remind me to accept refills (then abandon them!) I agree, all the things we have heard do make us hold back on the excitement but my gut feel is that it will all be ok and I have a strong feeling it'll be a girl. Not that I mind, that's just the feeling.

Sorry to hear about the family rows, we are here to listen if you need us. Try not to make Spain a deadline, it makes it so stressful, tell yourself that it would still be ok to get pg when he visits/ you vist him then the pressure will be off. I speak from experience, we were meant to be moving to Spain this Septemeber and when I missed the boat in December I thought oh well, I might have to just have the baby there and now, we are just going to postpone the move a bit until it's safe to move. It'll actually work out well as my Mum (who is over there) can help me with the nipper and she'll love it, she hates the fact that my nephews grow up away from her.

Have a good day

rahrah1 · 30/01/2007 12:23

Hi Fettle...

Like you said every pregnancy is different... so you might not get the same symptoms. I did not really get any symptoms until about 7 weeks.. and then I pucked until around 12 weeks. I know its hard not to worry... XX

MrsMcJnr - it will be comforting to get that scan at 7 weeks. We had a scan with Bertie at 7 weeks and it was a little dot... but such a sweet dot!!

I have just had my thyroids tested, when I last went to the consultants. Plus I have just had reflexology and she picked something up on my thyroid... so we will have to wait and see. I am not going to self diagnose, as I think my consultant has got pee'd off with me phoning, thinking I have found out what he is qualified to do and not managed to. I mean I am particularly talented and he should never doubt my detective skills... but I suppose it does come across like I am doubting him.

Rah - 36.2 CD9 (3rd cycle ttc)
Ready - 36.50 CD24 / 9 DPO (5th cycle ttc)

If only I didn't have that second decimal place!! I would still have a steady temp, and i would be able to fool myself that the cramps I am getting are good signs, not AF. But a dip (albeit tiny) in my temp this morning has ruined that foolish notion!! AF is on her stinking way

Happy Birthday Minxi!!!! A high temp after AF due has got to be a good sign?? Surely?? Fingers crossed!!! good for you not testing for a bit!!!

Greedy?? Any news? thinking of you!

MrsMcJnr - Sorry that your GP couldn't be more reassuring. Just make sure you rest lots! Get DH to look after you like you looked after him post-op!

Hope all you other temping ladies are doing well???

Ready · 30/01/2007 12:32

Oh, meant to say... fettle, don't worry about a lack of symptoms!!! Enjoy not feeling sick for the time being!! xx

Ready · 30/01/2007 12:33

Thanks Rahrah!! I really needed that

fettle · 30/01/2007 12:36

Ready - don't worry too much about a little dip, as long as it is still above your coverline. My temps have been dipping up and down 0.1 of degree for the past week - I've set myself a level in my head, which is higher than my normal highest post-ov temp (36.9) and that's what I don't want my temp to go under now until next week. Going to stop temping at 6 weeks, if all's well by then.

Fettle!! You have reinstated my positivity (doesn't take much does it ) my temps are still way above my cover line even with the teeny 0.05 degree dip. I think I am a bit of a dip.

Thanks for the hugs... crikey, what an attention seeker I am today! Apologies.

MrsMcJnr · 30/01/2007 13:15

Ready - above the coverline is all good!

Do you think I've given up temping too soon?

fettle · 30/01/2007 13:21

No MrsMc - if you feel confident to stop temping, then do. I know some ladies on here think you should stop as soon as you know you are pg. With my very early mc last cycle, I wished I had kept temping as then when I started bleeding I would have known it was all over, rather than hoping on for another week, when I got home and did another test!

Ready, you have stay positive

here you all are! i have loads to say after rading that lot, but i cant remember half of it!
firslty 'happy birthday minxi!'
its getting to crunch time for you and ready now, so fingers crossed for you both.

i know this sounds daft, and like you fettle, i dont follow my own advice, BUT i have never thought spotting was too much to worry about, so try not to worry mrs. esp if it has stopped now. i know its natural to worry but be reassured by the huge number of people who have spotting and then continue to have normal pgs. i am so concerned this time, cos its not just spotting. its like a period with lots of little clots. yuk! had lots more this morning when i got up and then a small amount for the rest of the morning. guess i will know a lot more tomorrow when i have my next bld test done.
fettle - it must be very worrying for you, not knowing anything for sure. until you have a scan, you imagine all sorts of horrible things dont you? your mind will be playing tricks on you, so dont think too much about if you do feel pg or not, cos its virtually impossible to objective isn't it. it must be frustrating that you dont get a scan till 12 wks too.............i was thinking............you could possibly tell a little fib and say you have had bad cramps or bleeding and then they would probably scan you early and put your mind at rest. would you ever do that? or do you think its too naughty?

greedyforbabies · 30/01/2007 13:43

greedy 36.9 (hoping thats a good sign)

greedyforbabies · 30/01/2007 13:46

fettle - i read somewhere that hormone levels aren't really high enough to cause morning sickness till 6 wks. any sickness before that is psychosomatic! is that the right word? you know what i mean dont you?

greedyforbabies · 30/01/2007 13:47

something else i meant to say.............(somebody needs to gag me!)..........rahrah...when do you get your T4 levels back? is it soon?

greedyforbabies · 30/01/2007 13:54

one last thing!........................................i thought i should tell you all the lengths i went to on saturday night so that no one would guess i was pg!
i went to a party, and as you know, i like a drink! so me not drinking is a complete giveaway! ( a bit like you mrs!). so, i got a bottle of reef (orange and vodka type alcopop) and pretended to drink it for about 20 mins. then i raced into the kitchen and poured it down the sink when no one was looking and filled the bottle up with orange juice! have you ever tried pouring oj from a carton into a bottle? i got covered, and so did the floor, so i was scrabbling around on the floor mopping it all up when other people started coming into the kitchen and started questioning me! i got soooooooooooo flustered and went really shifty so i am sure they all think i am a complete loon now. anyway!.....i dont think anyone guessed i was pg......so mission accomplished!
