For reference here's thread 3 www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2593041-TTC-after-miscarriage-lucky-thread-number-3

jpeg I started replying to you yesterday but it is quite hard to describe how to do it and it suddenly occurred to me that I was typing about how I have a good rummage and feel my own cervix on a publicly visible forum online! Blush

But there's no TMI on MN...

I found it easiest to locate initially when not in fertile week as then it is soft and indistinguishable. Just before or after your period it's lower and firmer so easier to know you've got the right thing and then when you know the rough location and feel it's easier to find at other times. It's a bit like the tip of your nose and is basically the highest point inside your vagina. Once you hit something and can't feel any higher up, that should be the right spot. Go up and backwards

Hi Smiling I'm so so sorry for your losses. Welcome. I hope you find some comfort here and good luck on TTC.

Have you had any tests at all?

jpeg28 · 06/05/2016 11:17

smiling welcome and so sorry for your losses.

Thanks insufficiently I will have a good rummage!! Ha. I have been checking it regularly and think I'm doing the right thing, it just worried me yesterday when I thought it was lower than normal but I'm in my fertile week?? I need to stop worrying! This month I have been not relaxed enough! It's cd15, another flashing smiley on the OPK so hopefully I'll ovulate soon. Do I dtd every day or every other??

alltalknobaby · 06/05/2016 13:20

Sorry foz and nails that you are still bleeding. It adds to the trauma. Hope it settles soon.

Sorry for your losses smiling - how heartbreaking for you. The ladies here are fabulous so you have found a great place for support xx

I tested again this morning and got a faint BFP on a Superdrug cheapy and a FRER Shock Smile I cannot actually believe it is real just yet. I've been having light cramps since 1-2dpo but now I'm obviously reading more into them. And the checking for blood commences! Sad

Have to try not to get my hopes up. But it could happen... couldn't it? I mean, people have successful pregnancies all the time, so why not? xx

alltalknobaby · 06/05/2016 13:22

PS insufficiently that made me laugh! I struggled to find mine too jpeg and for about a week was religiously checking the wrong thing every morning! Blush It's amazing what you learn about your own body when TTC Grin

nailsathome · 06/05/2016 13:45

Congratulations AllTalk. I hope that knickerwatch is unproductive and you have an uneventful pregnancy. Flowers

IC I occasionally have a rummage for my cervix but it never seems hugely different, so I have kind of given up on that one.

Thank you everyone.

Congratulations AllTalk Grin

HopefulKate I had lots of tests after I lost DD and they can't say conclusively what caused me to go into labour. It's a very long story but I most likely lost her due to hospital negligence. Because I've had a successful pregnancy and my son was 13 days overdue and 8lbs 4oz so not a small baby they aren't willing to diagnose an incompetent cervix but it is possible that's the problem which is scary when considering ttc again

You can have a few surges Mrs but sounds like you may have ovulated?

Smiling I'm so sorry. That sounds tough. Sorry to ask the question, hope you didn't think I was being nosey. Can they do anything to prevent it just in case??

I'm on CD20 and feeling pretty ropey. Spotty and exhausted. Dreading the possibility of getting my body out for summer! Feel revolting! Xx

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 06/05/2016 18:50

HopefulKate not at all, I was on a thread like this when I conceived my son and I think those ladies know pretty much everything about me and we are now very good friends so I'm happy to answer any questions Grin

I have a letter from the dr with a plan for when I get pregnant again, I will have scans every 2 weeks and at the first sign of my cervix opening I will have a stitch put in. I may also end up on bedrest

Evening everyone.... I have just inhaled a pizza and chocolate. Not exactly a healthy fertility diet!! I'll start again tomorrow!!

I'm cd15... Not sure if I have ovulated. Haven't got anything except negatives on the strip OPKs. No idea!! Cervix felt soft... Who knows what is going on!! Mrs what type of OPK did you get your positive on?

Hope everyone has good weekends.

Welcome smiling I'm new too.

Congrats alltalk

I've bought some cheapie OPKs ready for next cycle (shhh don't tell hubby) Shock

HopefulKate1980 · 06/05/2016 20:58

mrs I've read quite a bit about CM and when it's white and creamy that is evidence of progesterone which you get when you ovulate so yes sounds like you have O'd. Would that be a surprise? Its all v confusing.

I am SO bloated tonight. I had a really light fish dinner at my parents house but it's like I've eaten two massive pizzas. When I breath in I can feel my womb too which feels tender and sore. What the f*ck?! Must be weird hormones. It's always bloody weird hormones these days

Writerwannabe83 · 06/05/2016 20:59

What a scary experience this must be for you smiling - the best of luck and hopefully the closer monitoring will lead to a successful pregnancy.

I'm feeling happy tonight as my period has arrived today which is 2-3 days earlier than predicted which means I'm closer to my fertile week Smile
