jpeg28 · 23/05/2016 08:54

Any temp experts out there.... I had a temp dip yesterday at 6dpo and today. I'm assuming that's me out and af is coming early!!!

TTC after miscarriage thread #4
redstrawberries101 · 23/05/2016 08:59

Hey guys. I'm ok thanks. Had cramps through the night and it was quite uncomfortable. Woke me up. However still not had much bleeding. Just upon wiping.

Feeling worried about why I ovulated so late this cycle. That can be the only explanation if we didn't dtd from cd 15-cd 28. We dtd on cd29 the night before AF was due and that must have been when the egg got fertilised.

I'm worried about ovulating late regularly , what if this wasn't a one off?

Cheeky it's also possible that you ovulated at normal time, and had sperm hanging around from when you DTD at the beginning. They can live up to 7 days remember though it's recommended to conceive with less than 3 day old sperm. Then it might have just been one of those things - chromosomal, etc - that it didn't develop properly, explaining the low HCG level. Fairly common, apparently. Or perhaps by the time the egg released the sperm was lower quality, which is why it didn't develop properly. I'm imagining some old tired sperm being "Noooo.... I came this... far...." on its zimmer frame Grin

I would not worry just yet that this is a pattern, there's no evidence that it is. If it is reassuring though you could look at using ovulation pinpointing methods after your cycle starts again. With such an early one it was fairly quick for me. AF arrived exactly a month after MC and we are now officially trying again (yay!) but not fertile yet.

AmyB1986 · 23/05/2016 09:36

Cheeky hope you're ok Flowers

JPEG your temp is still about the cover line, doesn't mean you're out. Some people have these erratic dips and rises. Have you looked at charts like mine on FF? My temp dipped right below the cover line today, pic included. I don't have any sign of af yet no cramps or anything so I don't know what's going on?

Don't rule anything out yet jpeg. As Amy said your temps can be quite erratic. It takes at least a couple of minths to get to know your body and then it will throw you a curveball by being odd one month anyway.

mrs I start from cd9 and ovulate at about the same time as you. I aim for every other day but sometimes it's every 2, depends on how much energy DP and I have on any particular cycle! Keep going for as long as possible, this month that was until cd17 (this was a particularly good month, last month we were done by cd13 which was O day for me)

AF is due today or tomorrow and she is not welcome here, I'm mentally willing her away!

Bertie zimmer frame wielding sperm made me laugh!

Hope you're hanging on OK today Cheeky Flowers

Really sorry cheeky and Kate. I hope there's a happy ending for someone soon. The uncertainty is so hard. I feel for you both.
I really want there to be good outcomes for everyone on this thread. It feels as if we are all having such a difficult time. On one hand I suppose it confirms how common and normal miscarriage is but on the other hand it makes it seem even more unlikely that things will turn out well.
My chemical at 4.2 has really been like a normal period but slightly more crampy and clotty. It seems to be slowing done now so it feels like a normal 6 day bleed. Last time I had an Erpc as I couldn't face the thought of the pain or passing the sac. Emotionally this time i have felt disappointed and angry but couldn't cry ( even though im sure that would have been helpful).
My DP wants to keep trying but I know he is worried about whether that's good for me.
I really am going to try a more relaxed approach this month. (I say already thinking about my fertile period this weekend).
Brenna- park run was tough, 34 minutes but I felt better for it and am going to start a better diet this week and try and shift some of this post miscarriage, post stress-eating weight. ( that is once I finish the left over takeaway from the weekend for lunch).

redstrawberries101 · 23/05/2016 11:19

Thanks for all your responses - they are invaluable. Bertie i don't feel as worried now thanks!

Still no proper bleeding. Just upon wiping and it looks like old blood. Hope it doesn't drag and drag.

Looking forward to jumping back on the TTC wagon.

jpeg28 · 23/05/2016 11:57

Thanks Brenna & Amy I'll see how they go over the next few days.

Mrs temping has definitely been the best thing I've done! It's tough making sure I wake up at the same time especially sat and sun but it has given me an idea of my cycle especially after the MC as it's all screwed up. I suppose it does make me over analyse things but I'm hoping that IF this isn't our month I will at least know what happens at each stage of my cycle. It helped me know when I was ovulating which I had no idea about before!

Good luck insufficiently when will you test?? Fingers X

Well done for park run clarity I'm regretting my decision to not do it and eat a mountain of cheesy chips last night! Not the best for a fertility diet!!

cheeky thinking of you.

jpeg28 · 23/05/2016 12:09

Also... Just fell down a flight of stairs at work, grazed my knee and ripped my tights. Sad thank goodness no students saw me!!!

Brenna24 · 23/05/2016 12:12

Ouch. Glad your dignity didn't take a bashing too.

InsufficientlyCaffeinated · 23/05/2016 12:27

Ouch jpeg! Hope you're OK!

Holding on until Wednesday to test. Currently on cd28 and my app is predicting AF today based on my average cycle which has slipped to 28 days since mc but pre-mc it was 30 days so I'm giving myself 2 days margin of error in case I'm reverting back to a normal cycle. Don't want to see a bfn.
Although I have to do a post run after lunch and the walk to the Post Office goes right based Superdrug so iron will is required

Lol! I love this thread.

Will need a course on temping when I'm done with this miscarriage. I don't think I can be bothered with OPKs though.

Whatsername17 · 23/05/2016 16:27

Cheeky you are doing amazingly well and I'm still hoping for good things for you. I hope you are OK. I spoke to the midwife today because I'm feeling very anxious. She has said that she will see me earlier than usual and arrange a reassurance scan which is really kind. Just got to keep my fingers crossed and hope now.

HopefulKate1980 · 23/05/2016 16:30

Yes you are v brave cheeky. Hope work was ok?

I am sat at home today, in a bit of a mess really. I am petrified about what is round the corner. Scan tomorrow morning and then we should know.

xx

HopefulKate1980 · 23/05/2016 16:30

And that is great news whatsername! When will they scan you? The NHS really is wonderful. x

redstrawberries101 · 23/05/2016 16:37

Yes indeed the NHS is wonderful. Thanks girls. I feel ok but have had overwhelming moments of sadness. I've come to see my dad today who just got back from holiday. My heart just wasn't in work today. Left work on time and came straight over.

I think I'll feel better once the physical aspect of its over. It's hard to look forward otherwise.
