Predictive text= annoying!

Caution Your pain could be constipation, as kwick said! Plenty of all bran, fresh fruit and water. Laxatives are vile! I have been there, done that! Bowel pain is horrible and can last a good few days. I actually suffer from it whilst I ovulate! It makes me feel really sluggish. Sad

CautionHormone · 07/03/2016 21:17

booboo, I did think to begin with that it could've been a strong possibility - however, I've been taking the laxido now for a week and my pains are still there, so I'm not quite sure what it is. We shall find out on Thursday :) x

CautionHormone · 07/03/2016 21:18

Kwick I've been sitting thinking now for ages what do frogs drink. Put me out of my misery already Grin

Germ20 · 07/03/2016 21:44

Hi ladies,
Sorry I've not been on for a while. Glad to hear the good news that's going around.
I'm 20 and me and my fiancée (24) are going to be trying for a baby in the future and are looking into clinics. (More like confused figuring out success rates😂)
Btw thanks for starting a new thread Kwick this thread has really taught me a lot already 😁

Good luck ladies

Cloudburn · 07/03/2016 23:22

Thanks for the detail on caffeine Kwik, that's helpful. I only generally have one cup a day anyway so it sounds like it's okay.

Is 'Expecting Better' worth a read? I've ordered the latest version of 'Up The Duff', I think it's now called 'The Rough Guide', as its the book all my friends back home raved about when they were pregnant. I think someone mentioned it earlier.

TBH this all still seems a little surreal at times! Me? Getting pregnant?? Craziness! But one step at a time I guess.

PS. I clearly didn't get the memo on Pineapple! Wink

(I did however just eat a tub of Ben & Jerry's...I blame the hormones.)

Cloudburn · 07/03/2016 23:25

And Kwick if you don't tells us what frogs drink I'll be forced to start telling my jokes, and I'm pretty positive they're worse really funny.

Kwick709 · 08/03/2016 06:44

I am really sorry... I fell asleep!

The answer is: croak-a-cola.... I told you it was bad!

I had a lovely bit of a dream where I was preggers... But then some nasty people were like "but you're single" :( anyway I am having a nice cup of tea in bed, I am going to read a bit more Malory Towers and then stick the crinone up my fanjo before getting up (sorry it is a bit early for so much TMI).

shoes I guess you are coming back today? Take it easy!

cloud I like "Expecting Better" - it is de-mything the whole preggers thing.... But I am very supersticious so have only read the bits about TTC rather than once actually upduffed.

caution I learnt a really cool trick from a book called "Gut" - when on toilet rest your feet on a low stool - it aids with "evacuation" - has helped me no end!

taydex · 08/03/2016 10:46

Ladies,

I have bad news for you re constipation... it gets worse once you are up-duffed! And the Crinone gel can also help to cause constipation... So better get used to it. He he he. Smile

Hope you're all taking it easy, especially those in the 2WW.

Today's purchases: Rough Guide To Pregnancy, and SSX for PS3. They seemed to go together... ;)

TTC through Donor IUI or Donor IVF or just undecided - all welcome!
taydex · 08/03/2016 12:04

Yay! I have that book, it's pretty good. Nice other purchase on the side, that looks like essential TTC prep! Smile

CautionHormone · 08/03/2016 12:15

Haha oh lovely TayDex - something to look forward to, I guess?!

Kwick I'll have to try that next time! It may help Mum too as she's got IBS and a small bowel intussusception, which is basically like a bowel blockage - she may get some relief by using a stool!
Ps, I loved your joke Grin

Hope you're all ok ladies. X

CautionHormone · 08/03/2016 12:15

Cloud, when my time comes I may have to invest and get that book. Looks like a good 'un!

Cloudburn · 08/03/2016 13:44

Hey Caution, yeah my friends raved about it so I have high hopes. I actually bought two copies as a good friend of mine is also trying to get preggers au naturale and I though she might appreciate it. You can get it on Amazon for £13.50 so it's an easy win. Smile

Taydex I'll let ya know how I get one with SSX. Will see if it gets played any more than Just Dance 4! (Spot who is currently unemployed!!)

Kwick I'll check out Expecting Better once I'm actually up the duff, as it were (fingers crossed - 7.5days to go!). I'm a bit wary of getting too much stuff in advance too. I'm still in a little bit of disbelief I'm actually doing this I think!

taydex · 08/03/2016 14:01

I got mine for 50p from a charity shop. Always a cheapskate! He he he. Worth a look maybe? I also picked up another one but I can't remember the name. Will take a look when I get home.

I'm also wary of getting stuff too far in advance. Even now which is probably silly. 7 week scan this Friday though and if all goes well I might start getting a few bits. Will still hold off most stuff till after 12/13 weeks...

TD x

Kwick709 · 08/03/2016 15:35

So exciting taydex!!!!!! How comes time seems to go faster when not on 2ww?

OP posts:
taydex · 08/03/2016 16:33

I know, it is zooming on by. Not that I'm complaining about that... I am sure it will slow down again at some point and I'll be whinging again! Smile

Cloudburn · 08/03/2016 19:03

Okay, I caved. I bought three preggers tests today (oh, and two pairs of shoes, but that's different issue...).

I still maintain I'm not going to use one until at least Saturday (4 days before period due), but will see.

taydex - 7 week scan this week, that's so exciting!!

PS. How many acronyms should I have used in that post...??

Kwick709 · 08/03/2016 19:39

cloud which tests did you buy?
It took me awhile to get code names down pat but long hand is fine too!

OP posts:
CautionHormone · 08/03/2016 20:06

Ah Cloud, that's not a bad price. I'll put the name of the book into the notes on my phone and keep it for when I need it :) thank you. Ooh which pregnancy tests did you buy?!

Taydex I can't believe it's the 7 weeks scan already...!! That's crazy! Times going by so quickly, I can't believe it's March already! I swear I blinked and two and half months went by! X

Kwick709 · 08/03/2016 20:17

shoes did you get back ok?

Is it too early for me to go to bed? I am zonked... And I did nada today...

OP posts:
INeedNewShoes · 08/03/2016 20:42

Evening all

Taydex thank you some much for the OPKs which were waiting on the doormat when I got home. If IUI Attempt 2 fails it'll be great to have these ready to use when it comes to Attempt 3!

Kwick I'm shattered too. I think it must be that the hugeness of the whole thing is tiring, or hormones or something. I don't know... but I'm definitely more tired than usual. I just have a spot of washing up to do and then I'll be crawling into bed where I hope to stay awake long enough to catch up on Sunday's Call the Midwife.

I got back absolutely fine thanks, having had a good eight hours' sleep at the hotel and then a good breakfast where I managed to eat pineapple (probably not enough of the core though), eggs and a very milky coffee so I ticked three good foods off the list by 9am!

I've been working this afternoon but in all honesty wasn't much use so I'll have to get up extra early tomorrow and play catch up a bit.

Caution Good luck for your scan tomorrow.

booboo16 · 08/03/2016 22:23

Hi ladies 😊

Kwick I just realised the you actually had your transfer down yesterday! I don't know why I thought it was today!

Taydex How exciting! 7 weeks already! Yay! I bet you can't wait for your scan Smile. I remember how bad the constipation in pregnancy was at times! Not nice.

Shoes I am delighted everything worked out for you. I have loads of questions to ask you! Grin Are you ready?? Wink Basically I would just like to know what it was like? How many follicles did you have? My clinic only allows for 2 mature follicles. What advice did they give you afterwards? You must feel well chuffed!! KMFX

Caution Not long now until you get to have your scan. How have you been feeling?

CautionHormone · 09/03/2016 07:52

Shoes - I'm glad you got back ok. Do you have to go back to Copenhagen if you get a positive pregnancy test? Or can you stay in the U.K. And arrange it all from here? Thank you for the good luck wishes, but my scans tomorrow not today Smile Thursday at 12:30pm! Got to have some bloods done too so will kill two birds with one stone, as my Dr's surgery still sends you to the hospital to have bloods done Hmm

booboo - haven't really been feeling much different. Still getting pains, but I'm due on on Saturday so we'll see how far past my due on date I go this time... Last month it was 5 days, but only bled for half a day/a day! Want to get it sorted before I go for treatment/IUI's because it'll just (hopefully) save a lot of hassle.

Hope you're all okay on this fine Wednesday morning - well, I say fine, but it's bucketing it down here! X

taydex · 09/03/2016 09:41

Cloud - I don't think that's caving at all. It's just being sensible getting them sorted in advance... Wink Good luck holding out till Sunday. I know the 2WW only too well and know what a pain in the bum it can be!

Shoes - No problem. I want to say I hope they come in handy, but actually I hope you don't need them. You know what I mean Smile Good work in ticking all those boxes before 9 am - sounds like good going to me.

Yeah, 7 weeks this Friday, scary (but good) stuff! I can't wait for the scan. You're allowed it any time between 35 and 45 days after IUI. I have picked the earliest possible date so am having mine on day 35. I am too impatient to wait any longer! I was reading in a couple of books this morning seeing what a 7 week old embryo looks like. Looks less like a tadpole than I imagined. I will ping you guys a pic if we get one. Nervous and excited.

Guys, don't worry about the tired thing. I think it's perfectly normal with the hormones. If your body is telling you that you need a nap/some sleep then go for it. I've lost count of the number of times I've fallen asleep on the sofa in front of the TV in the evenings!

How is everyone feeling? Anyone got any symptoms (I guess too early but I spent most of my 2WW trying to double guess symptoms). No symptoms here apart from feeling constantly hungry. I guess that's probably the equivalent of morning sickness, just a bit of a weird not sure if I'm hungry or feeling a bit sicky. If that's all I get I will be more than happy. Oh, and sometimes I feel a bit picky re what I feel like eating. So for example I've been eating a lot of ready salted crisps. And occasionally crap like biscuits or chocolate. I figure at the moment getting food in and to stay in is more important than being too fussy on making sure I get the right balance. Still doing pretty well on the balance though - my 3 main meals are generally good and I do still manage the extra milk and fruit. It's just additional rubbish on top of that LOL.
