TTC following an ectopic pregnancy

Hi, My DH and I have been TTC for the last 8 months and finally found out I was pregnant before christmas. Since then I have been in hospital and have been treated for an ectopic pregnancy. I was given a hefty dose of Methotrexate which has made me feel rotten and should induce a miscarriage soon. We can't start TTC for 3 months now which is really hard to take as it took us a while the first time - but everything will have to be on hold until the summer now. Has anyone experienced this?

Just fed up of ttc its been more than 3 year now. Dh been great had a really good talk and dd is wonderful to so lucky really. I thought you were banned from ttc naughty naughty! How long will it take you to get up to liverpool tomorrow? How was christmas, I bet ds loved it. Let me know how it goes tomorrow all the best.

train journey is 1hr 45. and i know re ttc. what cani say, i can be very persuasive! got bfn this morning tho, so just waiting now. what's your next step? more ivf? how did the lap & dye go? when will you get the results?

christmas was fab! ds had a whale of a time and got everything he wanted. dont know how santa knew to just get peppa pig and thomas stuff! how was yours? did dd go nuts?

cedar12 · 10/01/2008 09:50

All results were fine from lap and dye tube looked good dr removed small amount of scarring from near my ovary. So going to carry on ttc naturaly at the mo. Dh not keen on ivf again so we will see also all the drugs i took with the ivf have mucked my cycle up now 34-35 days! instead of 29-30. dd had a great time at christmas we have got a house full of baby dolls instead of real ones. It almost broke my heart the other day when she asked me when can we get a real one. Let me know how you get on today.

Feeling better now phoned fertility nurse and she is going to scan this month to check for ovulation. This cycle better at 32 days I took agnus catus for the first half of my cycle so hopefully this is getting things back to normal. Right positive thinking now 2008 will be are year Lissie!

OracleInaCoracle · 11/01/2008 09:07

absolutely! appointment went well, they took gallons of blood. and we have to go back on the 31st for the results (will rush them through) and for a bone density scan. will almost certainly need thinning injections and very frequent scans next pg but she seemed very confident that they can help us and on the 31st we will see the man himself (he's on hols for a month after, and he wants to see us himself) she has also done a pg test. (af had gone awol) which we get the results for today.but think my period started this morning, just without any fanfare!

glad all went well
