TTC following an ectopic pregnancy

Hi, My DH and I have been TTC for the last 8 months and finally found out I was pregnant before christmas. Since then I have been in hospital and have been treated for an ectopic pregnancy. I was given a hefty dose of Methotrexate which has made me feel rotten and should induce a miscarriage soon. We can't start TTC for 3 months now which is really hard to take as it took us a while the first time - but everything will have to be on hold until the summer now. Has anyone experienced this?

have you thought about reflexology or aromatherapy? doing this course (get practised on a LOT) have really relaxed me.

wish i could say something to make it better

Sorry didnt mean to ignore you lissie some one came to the door earlier and I forgot what I was doing. Doing ok, got my date for my op 8 th nov and had some more blood tests. Dr has told us not to ttc until after op as my cycle has been a bit messed up since ivf. How are you? I hope your still enjoying your course. Havent you got a dr appointment soon I seem to remember you mentioning october. Are you still not ttc? i am glad you coped ok edd I did get your email but not got around to replying yet.

we missed our appt, dh hasnt had all of his tests done, but its rescheduled for a fortnight yesterday. glad you seem to be doing ok-ish. what is the op for?

After I got the infection from the ivf I was worried it could have damaged remaining tube. Also worried if 2nd ep caused any further damage. So my consultant has promised to sort everything out so i am having lots more blood tests and another laposcopy more in depth than the last one last year. My consultant said that i have really good chance and said its more a matter of when it will happen not if (he said he dosent say that to many people) Also started having some accupunture to get my cycle sorted after the ivf. He has also picked up that my periods have been very light in the last year. So he will be treating the lining of my womb. Already this month my period has been better sorry if tmi but it been a lot fresher brighter blood rather than be brownish! Any way we cant ttc till after op so just trying to get on with every thing at the moment. It is hard as one of my friends is about to pop in months time and another one has just found out she is pg she didnt realise until she was 13 weeks! she has polycystic ovaries so is very irregular. It wasnt planned but she is pleased and has been lovely to me told me first and hasnt been going on about it all the time. Most go got to go to work. harriet good luck with the ivf app

dh has cancelled it. he has only done 1 of his w*nk tests and none of his bloods so they wont give us any new info/treatments. im fuming. and sad. how is everyone? its been so quiet here!

Sorry your dh is being a pain Lissie. My dh made a fuss about it all to, well he just didnt talk to any one for about 3 days before! I hope youve given him a good kick up the bum, why dosent he want to get them done is he worried about the results? Have you got a break from college this week? I hope you get another appointment soon. It all just seems never ending at the moment we have been ttc for 3 years at christmas. I think I ovulated late again this month so my period will be late I just hope it finished before the op otherwise they wont do it.

oh cedar, me too. tbh i think the last mc hit him really hard. we were both v optimistic about it and then... still we can make an appt after christmas but if i have another mc in the meantime we shall bring it forward i think. (awful that we have to think like that)

its 1/2 term this week and we are potty training ds. i must be a looper!

Hi Pink elephant nice to hear from you hope every thing good with you you must have big bump by now. Well still ttc this end had ivf in the summer but ended up with infection from the embryo transfer so bfn. Having another laposcopy next week so fingers crossed for after that last time I got pg 2 month after that. One good thing which came out of the ivf we found out dh sperm motility was crap since he started smoking again but he gave up a few months ago and it more than doubled so shouldnt be any trouble that end. Lucy has started school and is loving it. Keep in touch.

Sorry had to put dd to bed. up and down really me and dh have had some problems he feels we have put are life on hold etc. He has been so stressed lately I told him I was going to leave if it carried on. We are doing alright now, If think we both feel are friends etc have moved on with life and we are just stuck waiting to get pg. I sent him for a reflexology appointment this week so hopefully that helped! I have been working a lot more now that lucy is at school which has been good, getting back into the swing of things. so havent had to much time to dwell. I am sure this month is the right side for me so there is no reason why it shouldnt happen I suppose. Just cant imagagine it happening now. Dh is cousin wife is pg again with her 3rd and I feel so jealous. Any way I am not that sad really and both me and dh have decieded to eat drink and be merry.

oh im sorry to hear that. ithink they find it hard to understand our ache, butenjoying xmassounds like a good idea.
he should find reflexology helpful too.
