Cupcake- how did you get on with the house? Are you going to move?

How is DS getting on with his potty training?

Hope it went ok at the GPs.

Cupcake92 · 19/03/2016 21:32

Yay ducky is back! :p hehe. Glad I have ur old name back!
How do u feel about the whole pregnancy thing?
How old would DS be when this baby is born ? It's nice having them so close my 2 are already the best of friends it's lovely to see :)
Will we get another labour story??! Grin

Lulu, I went to see the house and it just wasn't what I expected :( it was a dining room, it was just a big kitchen that someone has squashed a table into and called it 'dining space' and the lounge was so small :( so I didn't take it. I'm still looking daily for a house.

DS is getting on amazing with potty training!!! I'm so proud! This morning he woke up with a dry nappy and asked to go downstairs so he could use the potty! Then tonight he was in bed and he asked to use the toilet! Even tho he has a nappy on at night! So I took him to the toilet and he actually went! So proud :)

The gps went fine, but got to go back in a couple of weeks as I've been constantly bleeding for about 5 weeks now and she said if it continues I need to go back and have a blood test as it could make me anaemic. It all started when I started my antidepressants.
I'm coming off the antidepressants after 6 months the doctor said :s

That is great of ds with his toilet training!!! How do you feel about coming off the anti depressants? Have they been helping?

I have no idea when the baby would be due but it all goes well I'm guessing October/November so ds will be around 22/23 months. Isn't that the same age gap as yours? Tbh I feel excited but I am so Ill Sad I'm exhausted and I have a really bad cough/cold/sore throat that's been waking me up at night and I can't sleep Sad

sunny825 · 20/03/2016 13:47

Congratulations ducky that's lovely news. You always said you wanted your kiddies to have same dad so that's good. Hope you're not feeling to ill with it. We have had conjunctivitis in our household and it's been bloody awful. Baby seems to be blinking funny so got a feeling he may have it now.

LuluJakey1 · 20/03/2016 19:32

Well done Cupcake's DS! He has managed it really quickly.

There will be other houses- there always are. Your house always sounds nice and you have a garden now don't you?

It has been very cold here today; sunny but cold. We took DS for a walk and he had a trot along the beach and played with a ball with DH.

Cupcake92 · 20/03/2016 20:37

A little nervous about coming off them tbh ducky, but the doctor said I should be okay. And yes !! My stress is so much easier to deal with and I don't feel like I can't breath anymore, which I thought were mini panic attacks, they've gone. :)
My 2 have 2 years and 2 months between them, I've attached a pic of them from today :)

Hey sunny! Oh no conjunctivitis is awful! Hope it all clears up quick! I can not for the life of me physically say the word 'conjunctivitis' out loud Grin my mouth just doesn't let me say it properly Grin

Lulu, it's been nice here and sunny, yes I have a garden we were out in it today, DS1 was playing football and ds2 was in the swing :) it was lovely being out in the garden today.

Ds2 is very smiley there but DS1 looks like he might be about to complain! Did he?
Isn't DS2 big?

Cupcake92 · 20/03/2016 22:36

Haha I said smile to him and that was what he decided to do Grin
He asked for a picture with ds2 so I think he was trying to be funny.
But yes ds2 is a little chunk :)

Cupcake92 · 22/03/2016 09:49

Can you have any longer off cupcake? Would you be able to afford any unpaid time? Or add any holidays onto the end of your leave?

My gp messed up my referral so I had been on the phone to the hospital all day yesterday trying to sort it. My referral only got sent yesterday, it got sent to the wrong place and said I knew my dates. I then found out the consultant I really wanted to see was on long term sick so I won't get to see her.

The consultant secretary was very helpful and managed to sort everything out for me and I have a scan a week today. Am feeling very nervous though.

Cupcake92 · 26/03/2016 14:17

I'm trying to see if I can get a little job at home so I can have a bit longer off cuz I can't afford to not earn any money at all otherwise I'd take the 12 months off.

Oo I hope ur scan goes well ducky! How far along do u think u might be?

We have done something mad but we are so excited. We have bought an old VW camper van. It is blue and white and so cute. It has a little kitchen and a table and chairs, a bedroom in the roof and we thought we could use it to take DS on weekend trips across to the Lakes and up to the borders and it'll be great when we go walking- we can take picnics and have hot food.

We must be bonkers really but we just fell in love with it. We have been looking at them for a few years and just did it. We bought it off one of DH's friends who has restored it. It's in good nick.

DS has has a good look round it. Smile We wanted to go out this afternoon but it is pouring Sad

LuluJakey1 · 26/03/2016 18:35

What kind of things are there around that you can do at home Cupcake?

I would like to do something that was stress free. I used to work in an art shop when I was a student. I loved that. It was in London and it was really old fashioned. They don't really exist any more.

I think DS2 just looks so cute Cupcake- he looks like a really happy baby.

duckyisback · 26/03/2016 18:47

Hope you find something cupcake. I'm thinking I'm about 6 weeks. It still must be very early as me and h only dtd for the first time in ages not too long ago.

Camper van sounds ace lulu.

LuluJakey1 · 26/03/2016 20:03

Are you getting on ok Ducky?

DH and I have been having holiday sex at home because he broke up for Easter on Tuesday. Grin He is full of energy and enthusiasm when he's not at work. Not working just takes so much day to day pressure out of our lives. I have been trying to make his life easier at home - exams are coming up and he is so busy. Anyway, he is off for 2 1/2 weeks because Easter is so early, so we are just going to chill and have a nice time with DS.

PIL and Grandma are staying with SIL until Tuesday morning. We are taking the camper van round to show them tomorrow. and staying for tea.

LuluJakey1 · 27/03/2016 20:39

Well we went on a little trip up the coast this afternoon with DS and PIL. It ws great. We had a walk, made tea and had some cake in the camper and then it started to pour so we came home. DH is so excited by it!

He and BIL are talking about going on a boys walking weekend in the Lakes in it.

duckyisback · 27/03/2016 22:33

Does it have the normal 4/5 seats like a car lulu? My ex used to have one but it only had two seats. Bet it's great having it round where you are, sounds like there's so many nice places!

Cupcake92 · 28/03/2016 15:28

Lulu my ex 'pimps up' camper vans down in Cornwall that's his job! Grin bet you'll have some good adventures!

What day is it u have ur scan ducky?

DS1 has been awful this weekend he's been so naughty! The tantrums he's thrown have been horrendous Sad no idea why! Just awful terrible twos! Oh and probably the amount of chocolate he's eaten hasn't helped ! Grin

OP posts:
duckyisback · 28/03/2016 16:05

Is that stbxh cupcake? Sounds fun!

My scan is Friday. I'm really nervous, probably more nervous than last time. I suppose it's because I have no idea where abouts I am.

Hope ds calms down for you. I think ds is getting the terrible twos early Hmm

LuluJakey1 · 28/03/2016 18:18

It has 2 seats in the front and 3 behind- with seatbelts but double up as seats in camper too.

We have been out today up the coast to the nature reserve. We fed the birds- DS frightened them by shrieking at them. Then we walked through all the reed beds and the path along the track at the back of the dunes and back round the lakes. It was sunny and the smell of 'green' now it is Spring was lovely. We had coffee and sandwiches in the camper . It is called BamBam because that is what DS says when he points at it. Not sure what itmeans Smile He slept all the way home.

DH's friend has spent years doing it up and his wife hates it. She made him get rid of it because she just wouldn't use it andnow she is pregnant and they need the money. He was really pleased we bought it so he can still see it. He says he will help DH keep it in good nick. DH knows nothing about cars so he'll take some teaching - no doubt it'll become his next obsession.
