I bet it's the chocolate Cupcake. DS has a white chocolate egg from PIL - he loves it. We are rationing tiny amounts of it for him.

Cupcake92 · 29/03/2016 07:45

No no ducky it's an old ex. Loved him so much but we ended it as he moved to Cornwall and I just couldn't move that far at the time. Still miss him now!

N don't worry about the scan I'm sure it'll be fine :)

Sounds like u had a lovely day lulu !! :) and yes I do think it was the chocolate sending ds crazy!
I didn't do much on Easter just tidied up, everyone was invited to my nans for dinner but I didn't get invited :( don't know why !
I did go to church tho where ds1's trousers fell down and everyone saw his dinosaur pants Grin

We have had an Easter egg tantrum. We left the egg on the coffee table last night - wrapped in foil DS went straight to it this morning only to find he has no buttons left. The chocolate wasn't what he wanted, he wanted the buttons and has has a complete tantrum Hmm He cried for ages, shouted and threw himself on the floor in temper.
We have ended up putting him on the rug and just getting on. He is now standing quietly with his arm around DH's leg as DH chops vegetables. I am watching from the garden. DH is talking quietly to him. He seems to have calmed down and just looks tired. I think all the crying has exhausted him. God what a fuss over nothing! He didn't sleep well last night so that could be something to do with it.
He's only 15 months. That is the end of chocolate.

duckyisback · 01/04/2016 18:45

Ha hope it's all calmed down now lulu. We had the same with ds and his Easter egg buttons yesterday Grin

Has ds1 calmed down cupcake?

I had my scan today, I'm a bit worried tbh. They saw the sac and whatever else but no heartbeat. They think it's probably that I'm just too early on, they recon I'm about 5 and a half weeks and they wouldn't expect a heart beat at this stage. Still it's worrying me though. I go back for another scan in two weeks.

Cupcake92 · 01/04/2016 18:53

Lulu that sounds like my ds1! Grin he's a chocolate monster !

Ducky don't worry because if u really are 5 and a half weeks then heartbeats aren't usually detected then. I have my fingers crossed for u.
Oh and no ds1 hasn't calmed down! He's been so naughty still! Dunno what's got into him! I've asked his dad if anything changed at his house or if he's like that there n he said he has been naughty for him too. Hoping it's a phase!

Off out tomorrow for one of my friends hen dos ! I hate hen dos! Lol!

OP posts:
LuluJakey1 · 01/04/2016 19:11

What are you doung for the hen do Cupcake? I hate them- I just don't go usually. I don't bother with excuses. Just say not my thing. 😀

I am going out with SIL and a couple of friends tonight. We are going for a few drinks and then probably something to eat- in town! I am just waiting for her- BIL is droppng us off then coming back to keep DH company. I have actually got dressed up a bit. I am quite excited.

Hope today went well Ducky and you had good news.

duckyisback · 01/04/2016 21:34

How strange cupcake, maybe just overindulged over Easter Smile what are you doing for the hen do? I don't go on them either, or go to baby showers Hmm

Hope you have a nice time going out with sil lulu, and hope dh and bil behave themselves!

LuluJakey1 · 02/04/2016 20:40

How did your scan go Ducky? Hope it went well.

DS is fed, bathed and in his cot, worn out, fast asleep. DH has been listening to music by himself in the back room throughout all of this. I then make him a plate of 'bits'- falafels, tzatziki, blue cheese, crackers, sliced tomato, cucumber and some potato salad and grapes. I give it to him and he says 'Thanks love'. I clear up in the kitchen and sit down and he says 'A bottle of that Sierra Nevada beer would be nice with this'. ........pause..........'I'll get myself one. D'you want one? Can I get you something else love? ' Wink

duckyisback · 02/04/2016 21:29

Did ds enjoy his trip in the camper van? Ha sounds like you have dh well trained!

The scan was okish, it's left me quite worried. They said they think I'm only 5.5 weeks, so there's no hb yet. I have to go back in 2 weeks to check there is one or not. If I am 5.5 weeks it's all normal but I thought I would have been further than that, only being that far means I was only 3 weeks when I found out and I did a few different brands tests which all came up positive. I thought most of them didn't work until 4 weeks. We shall see.

LuluJakey1 · 02/04/2016 22:42

Some of them work at a week Ducky. It sounds fine for 5.5 weeks. Try not to worry.

DS likes the bambam as he calls the camper. DH well- trained? Hmmm. When it suits him. He currently has over a hundred CDs on the floor, looking for one he is sure is there. They will just be bundled back into the cupboard in a heap- he'll think he's going to sort them out tomorrow.
When I was out last night he texted me to say I looked fantastic and that he would wait up because he wanted to take the dress off me and then listed the other things he wanted to do Blush Guess what? He was in bed fast asleep. Grin He didn't wake up when I got into bed, just mumbled something unntelligible in his sleep- which isn't unusual.

LuluJakey1 · 04/04/2016 20:31

Is there no one around at the minute? Hope everyone is ok.

I am by myself tonight. DH is out playing pool at the pub with a couple of mates.

DS is in bed. He grazed his hand at the beach today. I felt terrible. He was so upset. The lady in the cafe was really nice and helped me clean it up. I got him some ice cream as a treat. He keeps holding his hand out and going 'oooooh' to get it kissed better. Poor DS.

I am feeling a bit miserable today. In need of an early night and a cuddle from the cats I think.

LuluJakey1 · 04/04/2016 22:40

DS has cried for over an hour. I have brought him into our bed with some milk to see if I can settle him. It is just whinging rather than really crying. Everytime he seems like he might settle he starts again.

DH still out.

duckyisback · 05/04/2016 00:05

Oh no poor ds lulu! How did he manage that? My ds has been in the wars too, he has a little chair that he fell off and somehow managed to get little scratches by his nose and one by his eye, I really have no idea how he got them though Hmm

Ds is still awake too. He still doesn't sleep and won't settle at the mo. I think it's 3 weeks now, or maybe two, until his allergy tests. I'm hoping that will shed light on something.

duckyisback · 05/04/2016 07:24

I don't know what time ds was up til, I know last time I looked at the clock it was 3.15. I ended up climbing into his cot with him. He woke up at 5. I'm exhausted.

LuluJakey1 · 05/04/2016 08:07

He fell while he was runnng on the lower prom when we were going to the cafe after our walk, and he scraped it Ducky.

He did settle eventually last night. DH put him back in his cot when he came in and I have had a decent sleep. I can't imagine how you will manage today on that amount of sleep. You must be ready to cry.

I don't think DS's cot would take my weight Blush

duckyisback · 05/04/2016 08:20

I am ready to cry lulu! And am going to try and take ds swimming in a bit if I can find the energy!

His bed is a cot that transforms into a little bed when he is old enough so it's quite big, and I'm very small it's almost the perfect size for me

LuluJakey1 · 05/04/2016 08:49

Well have a nice time swimming. I get awful when I am really tired. Hope he has a sleep and you can have a snooze too.

DS has had his milk and is in the shower with DH. I am having some tea and toast and 15 minutes peace and quiet before they come down for breakfast.

I am takng him out today so DH can do some work. Am going to soft play then meeting SIL for something to eat. Then we are going up to the country park and back to hers.

Cupcake92 · 05/04/2016 09:23

Sorry I've been absent!

We went for champagne breakfast and then a meal and drinks in the evening. For the first time in years o for very drunk then couldn't function the day after Grin think I've only just recovered haha!

That's so strange as my ds1 is sleeping awful again too!!

Hope u both manage to get ur ds's to sleep tonight!

I need to email work and speak to them about when I come back as my Mat leave finishes at the end of May :( I don't want to go back now. But I've looked at options and just won't be able to afford having anymore time off :( sucks!

DS and I have just come in. We've been out all day. It is cold up here today and wet. Walked home from SIL in the rain. House is feezing. DH working at dining room table, barely looks up.

I ask if the heating us broken and he says 'No, I've just put a jumper on. You don't always need to put the heating on you know.'
Angry I went upstairs and put it on, leaving DS asleep in his pushchair.

DH took one look as I came downstairs and said ' Have you put it on?' as if he couldn't believe it. I said 'Yes' nothing else.

Have made myself a cup of tea and am sitting next to the radiator. Grr! He is turning into his dad.

Cupcake92 · 05/04/2016 22:03

Oh dear lulu Grin I always put the heating on! I get paranoid that the dc's are cold Grinplus I like it when it's cosy in the house :)

It's been sunny here today but it's been very cold.

OP posts:
LuluJakey1 · 05/04/2016 22:32

Cupcake, I am waiting for him to get into bed and complain he is cold- which he does regularly even though he gives off enough heat to melt a polar ice cap. Next time he says it and goes to cuddle up to me I'll tell him to just put a jumper on.

DS has run round and round tonight playing with a little wooden car. He was exhausted and over-tired when he went to bed. He has been to soft play and walked on the prom at the lighthouse. I can't believe how much energy he has. I think he'll sleep tonight.

duckyisback · 06/04/2016 07:56

Ahh no cupcake! Hope ds1 sleeping gets better, it scares me knowing they can still be like that at that age! How is ds2 sleeping?

Lulu, I think it's a man thing, no matter how cold it is h will never put the heating on! Is ds still sleeping well? What time does he go to bed?

We didn't make it swimming, ds fell asleep and it was my only opportunity to get him to nap! Was going to go today but am meeting a friend and taking dc to soft play instead.

Cupcake92 · 06/04/2016 08:28

Lulu did he say it was cold? Grin
Children seem to have tons of energy! I wish I had it too! But I'm exhausted by the end of the day Grin

Ducky I don't think ds1 sleep will ever get better Grin probably only when he's a teenager and never wants to get up Grin ds2 is amazing still, sleeps through from 7:30 till 6/7am :) so I'm thankful one of my children sleeps well!

Hope u both have a nice day!

OP posts:
LuluJakey1 · 06/04/2016 09:16

Yes Cupcake. Got into bed and said, 'It's cold tonight. Let's have a cuddle up'. I said airily 'Oh just put a jumper on DH, you don't always need to cuddle-up you know'. He swore and laughed. He did admit he had realised how pompous and how much like his dad he had sounded. He'll be collecting string and elastic bands next (one of FILs little hobbies). He said am I going to make fun of him by saying the 'Oh just put a jumper on' thing any chance I get for the next 50 years and I said yes, absolutely.

Ducky, DS is a good sleeper usually. We don't often get interrupted nights but we sometimes get a little run of them. He slept through last night. I am worried that if we have another baby it will be a bad sleeper. I am useless without sleep. I don't know how you cope. I get really snappy and then cry easily and just become pathetic and don't function properly. When you and Cupcake describe the nights you have it puts me off another baby.

Hope you both have a good day. We are going out in the camper - across to Allendale and the Durham Dales. Hoping it's nicer weather there.

duckyisback · 07/04/2016 07:30

Cupcake, you can get your revenge when he is a teenager Grin

Lulu I wouldn't let the jumper thing drop that's hilarious Grin how was your camper trip?

This two weeks waiting for the scan seems to be going so so slow. I have been getting very bad nausea on and off all day but not actually been sick. I'm hungry but too nauseous to eat.
