Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?' Depending on how much Ovia (Whybird/Ovibitch) has pissed us off/messed with our fw she is either the oracle or a sanctimonious charlatan.

Just a warning, we move FAST! Our threads last on average, about a week before they're full.

Thread 10, Welcome one and all! Group of weirdos, wee hoarders, covert opk or okp, depending on what your autocorrect decides addicts with a side business in CM management!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies. Fart stories make us laugh, stories about cervical mucus, pooing, cysts and nausea equally welcome.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kat, I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

We like acronyms, we make some up: PET = Proper expensive test. We love the d(h)...which can of course mean 'dearest' or 'dickhead' why, what were you thinking?

Well done meadow I think you can notch that one up as a win.

You don't have to have a general to get them out lillian presuming your in the uk it's just a local anaesthetic and it's absolutely fine very manageable. You can get IV sedation of you want but I wouldn't bother. Mine where described as "alien teeth" but I can honestly say the removal was fine. I know some people hate dental stuff but seriously I found that bit fine.

However don't listen to this bit! kat do you know what it would mean if they say you jaw was perforated? Saw the oral surgeon today and she said that in passing tried to get her to explain but she brushed over it. I've had a very rare rare complication apparently and two roots have been left in that's what's causing a lot of the bothered anyway she is going to remove them in 3 weeks (it'll be local again and I'm not worried! ) but any idea on perforated jaw?

StarkyTheDirewolf · 10/02/2016 17:21

Saw the oral surgeon today and she said that in passing tried to get her to explain but she brushed over it (oral surgeon. ..BRUSHED over it...just me?! Grin ) sorry feef and Im sorry you're having issues, you poor thing. Flowers

Welcome peaches :)

Kwick709 · 10/02/2016 18:23

Only on page 11

In terms of progesterone cream - I get prescribed Crinone gel (which is progesterone gel that you apply up your fanjo twice a day). This seems to be pretty routine for those having interventions like IUI or IVF.
Challenge is it stops af from coming so can give false hope of a bfp - so what I do is test on day clinic tells me to (+16 days) and then stop using, 2 days later af arrives.
If/when I get bfp will most likely take until past 12 weeks.

Ok - back to catch-up

Snowdog37 · 10/02/2016 18:37

This is what I use. I alternate inner thigh, boob, inner arm, face. I really wouldn't want to shove something like this up my fanjo but I would if I had to.

Snowdog37 · 10/02/2016 18:37

Oops forgot the photo lol.

meadow I am 41 but only admit to 21 Grin.... I think I am the oldest on this thread!

Evergreen15 · 10/02/2016 18:43

Zazzles maybe this is the secret to success for us!
Meadow I think a bunch of us here suffer from anxiety. What a terrible thing it is. I am just learning how to drive and struggling to keep it at bay
Lillian I had my 4 wisdom teeth removed under general by an oral
Surgeon Smile They had to take them all at once and they were in weird position and could not have been done with local anaesthesia. I am glad they did it that way because I bet they had to chop the up first and drill a lot. But not a problem since.

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 10/02/2016 18:48

kat and jem it's strange! Touching myself up again reveals a lot of thicker creamy cm, can't remember getting this last cycle - but I'm only 2-3dpo so it can't even be a symptom yet! Also a bit crampy today but it's prob just wind Grin
Opk -negative. Phew!

Right - catching up on other posts....

Feefeefs · 10/02/2016 18:51

Oh dear starky I just had to get DH to explain my unintentional pun! D'oh!

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 10/02/2016 18:55

Welcome to the madness peaches!

hoo sounds like you timed that perfectly!! How long are your cycles?

Ever I hope so!! Tbh if it doesn't work this cycle I'm properly pulling out all the big guns - prog cream, soy, epo, cutting caffeine, drinking healthy shit, temping, opking...oh and dtd obvs 😂

starky your mind is pure filth Grin

Still catching up....

Kwick709 · 10/02/2016 18:59

Yipee - I am all caught up!

Welcome to all newbies!!!!

Have had a headache since yesterday evening... I think it is a side effect of IVF nasal spray :( hopefully will not have to take past the weekend but depends on when af comes.

Chocaholic88 · 10/02/2016 19:13

Poking my head in! Been AWOL again! Had a lovely posh awards ceremony in London to attend, then some work things and today choosing locations for a photoshoot I'm managing next week... never a dull moment but thank God the sickness has subsided!

How are we all? :) still no sign of my scan date yet!! Going to call tomorrow but don't want to seem pushy lol!

Chocaholic88 · 10/02/2016 19:25

meadow hi and I'm 27, already have 2 little monsters and currently harbouring a third :)

Peaches8Posies · 10/02/2016 19:38

Thanks for the welcome ladies waving hello ☺

kat I'm just starting cycle 3, really got my hopes up last few weeks (loads of 'symptoms' lots of dtd) but woke up Monday morning to full blown AF 😕 very unusual for me a usually start slowly midway through the day. I'm 36 & have a 6 you old but feel I've put a lot of pressure on myself for number 2 and the endless hints & questions from friends/family have been coming thick & fast!!

Should be testing 5th March

ElleSarcasmo · 10/02/2016 19:50

Jem we only managed to do it on Saturday and Sunday Sad DH was too tired/stressed on Friday. No wonder I'm not pregnant!

LillianFullStop · 10/02/2016 20:04

feefs if only I could do it under local for the bottom 2! I've had one of the top ones removed under local and that was absolutely fine - not even any swelling. But like ever my bottom ones grow sideways and and will need breaking up into pieces to get out + stitches etc. so it will need to be under general. How horrific - wonder if I could do in one go with an elective cesarean??

kat you've busted me! I'm always too lazy to floss but once I book an appointment all of a sudden it's like my final exams and I start flossing Grin

LillianFullStop · 10/02/2016 20:07

Soooo I'm due to test tomorrow, been having AF cramping so am so tempted to test tonight so I know if I should be bringing extra supplies to work with me tomorrow. But I want that starky star!!

Kwick709 · 10/02/2016 20:11

lillianfullstop LOL!!!! Thats right lets get everything done at same time!!!

I just had a general last week and I had absolutely no issues with that... When I last had one (20 years ago) I was really nauseous afterwards.

Feefeefs · 10/02/2016 20:32

I had the same lillian severely impacted bottom wisdom teeth, they broke them up into pieces and remove some of my jaw bone on one side all under local it was an oral surgeon. It might be up to the individual surgeon preference though.

Feefeefs · 10/02/2016 20:34

Not sure if it's relevant but I live in Scotland and I think they have been trying to make savings on max fax type stuff so maybe doing less under general? It's a new clinic and I think it's all they do

MeadowHay · 10/02/2016 20:36

Thanks everyone for the kind words Smile. I had another lecture 5-8pm which I went to fine. My fingers and hand were aching loads trying to keep up the notetaking, but I am getting a netbook very soon for note-taking, can't wait.

Kat, I study Law with French and French Law, but I'm currently on my year abroad here in France where I am studying mostly political science modules instead (confusing I know!). Enjoying it although my oral French is not improving as much as I think it should be mainly because I'm too anxious to go out and talk to random people and when people ask me things I panic and my mind blanks! I guess I am progressing but I thought I would come over here and suddenly become fluent which obviously isn't how it works! Grin

Lil I had an impacted, slightly decayed wisdom tooth out about a year ago now and they had to break it up into a few pieces to remove it, I can't remember if I had stitches or not, but they definitely drilled it up into pieces to get it out and that was only under local anaesthetic. I had IV sedation though because it was the first time I'd ever had a dental procedure done and with my anxiety I was worried I would freak out at the appt. But it was fine although recovery took longer than expected. I wouldn't get sedated again, that was probably the worst part as it made me feel awful for hours after despite napping straight after, and I vomited a couple times too. Sad

Negative OPKs today. Did three just to make sure...we are going to DTD in a sec though because I've had sorta EWCM and FF says I am fertile today so -shrug-

LillianFullStop · 10/02/2016 20:47

maybe i'll get a nosejob too kwick? Grin

feef and meadow you are both so brave! I can't imagine what is worse - general or being awake when they smash and drill inside my mouth! I wouldn't definitely need to be sedated as that sounds like torture scene out of an R rated film to me Confused

LillianFullStop · 10/02/2016 20:48

elle don't worry - the little guys are meant to be able to hang around a couple of days or so waiting to meet the eggy!

Feefeefs · 10/02/2016 20:49

Do people abstain from oral sex during FW? I did not realise this was a "thing" and am pretty disappointed! We are going to DTD every day for 10 days I'm determined! But it might get a bit samey
