Ladies!! I have had a little break and am raring to go this cycle. This is cycle number 4 for us, and I am currently on CD8, so just coming up to the "fertile phase" and plan on plenty of sex not BDing!!

I looked for a January thread, but couldn't find one?? I don't think I am the only one hoping for my BFP in Jan am I ???

Fingers crossed for everyone!!

Welcome JossieJump, fingers crossed for you in your quest for number 3! It'll be the only time I won't tell someone off for testing early as you have a valid reason!!

hello everyone, i'd like to join too please my ds is nearly 16m and we've been ttc since August and, like others, i thought i'd fall first time again...

last month i really really believed i was pregnant and so had a shock when af arrived late and then another shock at my own reaction (hadn't realised how much i want this second baby).

anyway, best wishes to all of you and here's hoping for a great big massive bfp in January

Hello all - have been too busy to write last week or so but have been keeping a quick eye over everyones progress!
cd12 today but DH not back now until wed which is cd14 but have managed to bd this w/end to try and cover all angles as it were! Af (hopefully not) due on 3 Jan so will have to cut down a bit over christmas period which is quite hard especially as we are at the in-laws and you need a drink (or a few) to get through the moments!!

hello girls...

im liking your sex attitude!! thats exactly the way we are heading over this festive period. me and dp have both got 2 weeks off which we plan to fill with a LOT of cosy days in bed together making luuurrvveee

nothing to report from me very early days in this cycle. i am using my ovatel saliva microscope though to check i am ovulating as havnt checked for a few months.

what does BFP stand for? And does your cycle length affect your chance of getting pregnant? Im still considering joining in but need to get my facts straight first!! x

BFP stands for big fat positive and refers to the result we all want from our next preg tests.

I'm not aware that cycle length affects your chances of getting pregnant, although if it varies a lot that can indicate underlying problems.

Is anyone else already into the 2ww? I'm on CD15 and have a variable cycle but I ovulated at the weekend so think I am due very early in January!

ammy12 - my cycle used to be 45 days and i have 2 kids ( going for no.3 now!) its now a bit random, but still a long cycle! one of our recent graduates! was on a super dooper long cycle over 50 days and she got a positive result at the end of it! is yours long or short? the important thing is the luteal phase ie. the bit after you ovulate cos that has to be long enough for a fertilized egg to implant.

That's interesting. Well, I think I did, I was just going on the build up and then amount of EWCM. It has dropped right off so I think it was the weekend. Haven't been able to temp as am confused about the right kind of thermometer. Can't find a "fertility" or "basal" one in the chemists. Have an ear jobby but apparently you can't use them?

My cycle is around 25-28 days long. I ovulate dead on half way through. I can tell when I ovulate almost to the day which all my friends think is bizarre!

And Greedy...have made an appointment for Thursday to have copper coil out. sod the wedding and the holiday abroad (all booked by the way-eek!) I WANT A BABY!!

EWCM = egg white cervical mucous - when it is this consistency, it means you are most fertile.
BD = baby dancing, which is a (frankly bizarre) term for having sex.

Just before, I think. It's purpose is to keep the sperm happy and guide them to the egg! Not the most technical explanation, but that's the gist of it!

I am having my coil out this week and we want to start ttc straight away- not sure if that is wise but I'm impatient and have a size 10 wedding dress on order.

I had a copper coil too and when my doctor took it out she said "these are brilliant, I can take it out now and you can conceive tonight" so should be fine

CD6 so spot on for Christmas then - I am two days behind you but planning on starting early!
