(Deep breath), I am finally going to pluck up the courage to join in! We are on cycle 6. Fell for ds at the first time of asking so am finding this business quite hard going!

decorativeD2Bmum · 16/12/2006 16:34

oops forgot i am on cycle 7 of ttc.

Ready · 16/12/2006 16:39

Decorative2bmum - Glad you like the title of the thread... thought we needed something UPBEAT!! ( I definitely do!!) AF due 6thJan, I don't drink, but I intend to give up goats cheese

Beansprout - Welcome!! How old is your DS?

OP posts:
beansprout · 16/12/2006 16:57

Dammit! I forgot about goat's cheese!!

Ds is 2.1 and I have a 19 year old step daughter (but that's another story!)

After a year of depo my cycle took 6 months to return and is all over the place, varying from 25 to 32 days which makes pin pointing ov practically impossible. I am, as dh puts it, on "gunk alert"!

vitomum · 16/12/2006 17:03

beansprout snap. my cycle is looooong, 35-38 days. Am on cycle 3 of TTC.

Gracie14 · 16/12/2006 17:04

Hi all,

Haven't posted for a while but have been keeping an eye on what is going on. My AF arrived on 14th so now on 3rd cycle and CD2 so lets all hope 2007 is a lucky year for us all.

decorativeD2Bmum · 16/12/2006 17:43

Coriander73 · 16/12/2006 20:56

Just wanted to say good luck to all you ladies! I was on the "wanting a BFP for Jan 2006 thread" & I can't believe a year has nearly passed...& yes, I did get my BFP on the 5th of Jan & had my little boy on the 16th Sep!! Lots & lots of luck.....

Nettee · 17/12/2006 09:19

Hi there, so glad someone has started this thread. I am in cycle 1 on day 5 so hoping for a christmas conception. I have one ds (1.9 years)who was arrived on his own time scale so haven't TTC before. Using persona to pin point egg day.

AF due 10th January

Nettee · 17/12/2006 09:21

oh and congratulations on your DS coriander - lovely to hear a success story from last year

Natty1806 · 17/12/2006 10:47

Excellent title.

was wondering who would be the first to set one up, normally the next one start early but seems everyone has held off starting a Januuary one.

Well CD10 today for me, been trying 18 months in jan and i am on my 4th cycle of clomid.

Af due between 5th and 8th Jan depending on when i ov in the next week.

Am also giving up booze for January, might go back to it in Feb but think a month will be good for me and i am going to lose weight unless i get a BFP, oh and one more new thing from Jan - be more positive. I will get a BFP and i will have a baby.

Babydust to all....wishing lots of babies made over Christmas.

greedyformincepies · 17/12/2006 14:20

hey i like the thinking positive!!!! WE WILL ALL GET OUR BFPs AND HAVE OUR BABIES! YIPPEE!!!!!!!2007 is going to be a great year!
i have been trying since april, only cycle 6 though cos of super long/irregular cycles. not sure when i am due to ov! somewhere between dec 22nd to jan 4th! so af due 2 weeks after that i guess!
i am glad someone finally started this thread and i knew it would be you when you came back ready!!!

ClearBlueFairy · 17/12/2006 14:31

Am I that predictable Greedy?? I don't mind I agree with you, 2007 is going to be a marvellous year, we will all get our BFPs!!!

I love the postive attitude Natty, I am totally on board with that!! Good for you on the booze, as a non drinker I am all for giving up the vino! But don't feel that you have to, if you fancy a drink, you should have one, don't feel a slave to it!

RudolphsREADY · 17/12/2006 14:34

Oh no... my secret identity has been uncovered , that will teach me to pay attention more when trying to change my name back to my festive sudonym! I blame Greedy!!

thechristmassyone · 17/12/2006 15:51

Im on CD6 of cycle 8, trying to be relaxed and not stress about ttc this cycle, don't know if it'll work, but think a break (from thinking about it too much) might do us good. am going to enjoy sex rather than worry about BDing. It is christmas after all!

pendulum · 17/12/2006 17:51

Hello all

pendulum here after a bit of a posting break- ready to join in the chat again!

I'm on CD4 of my 7th cycle TTC no.2. Am quite glad for the silver lining of being able to drink and be merry over xmas, but am really hoping jan is my month (esp as my birthday fals at the end!)

good luck to all xx

MrsMcClaus · 17/12/2006 18:36

Ready - LOVE the title! Depending on when I OV, I might be joining you in a day or two Did you know that giving up cow produce and going on to goat can make your "environment" more alkaline than acid which is apparently what it needs - not that deperate yet but if I am still here in March, you might find me buying a goat!

Nice to see some of the regulars coming back, fingers crossed for your September babies ladies

RudolphsREADY · 17/12/2006 18:47

I love milk and cheese and yoghurts and sour cream and custard and ice cream and did I say cheese?

I vaguely remember reading somewhere that goat's milk was better for you than cow's, but couldn't remember why, so that must be it. I couldn't give up cow dairy I don't think!! And I figure, my mum loves cow dairy and she had 2 gorgeous children!

MrsMcClaus · 17/12/2006 18:52

I think what is important is that you have the real stuff Ready, butter not marg and real cheese not low fat stuff. Got my organic bag by the way - love it! Recipes and all!

RudolphsREADY · 17/12/2006 19:01

Oooh so excited about your recipes!! In the new year we will have to start a thread for "healthy eating with a bun in the oven" [hopeful face] I use Northern Harvest, and the lady rings me up every now and then to ask how the stuff is, and gives me the odd recipe suggestion.
I use butter when baking but Flora on toast and bread [eek] but never get low fat cheese, what a pointless exercise I only drink skimmed milk though, can't have anything else, find it too claggy!

Jossiejump · 17/12/2006 23:32

Can I join in, all be it a little prematurely!
I've been lurking around here and posting on the m/c threads-had m/c in April and Aug 2006, already have DS x 2. Tests point to a possible blood clotting prob, hopefully treatable with injections, so we've decided to go for it
AF at the moment, so looking at testing around 13th / 14th Jan (have to try to test early to start treatment if BFP.
Feel a desperate need to get involved

Nettee · 18/12/2006 08:27

Love the positive attitudes on this thread. I am sure September is usually a busy month in the maternity units because of all the drinking and carefree sex over Christmas. I'm with ready and thechristmassyone - no BDing and lots of sex.
