Hi all!
Me and hubby are 23, I've been off the pill since we've been married so coming up 2 years and we've been TTC for a little less than a year. I tend to go by my cm for ovulation as I have a 33day cycle, we do have regular sex through the out month too. I'm also taking folic acid. It's really starting to get to me that it's taking so long, everyone my age seems to have first time luck or getting pregnant unplanned.
Anyone have and advice or stories? I'd love to hear!!

Welcome Katie, I've never been on the implant but I hope it doesn't take you too long to get back to normal cycles.

Blooming - haha that sounds like my idea of rewards! Well I'm well and truly suffering from a terribly bad cold, I had it all over Christmas when I was (according to ovia) fertile, so I think I've missed this month! How's your chances looking? I do have a dog, do you have any pets?

PS - I don't know when I'll next take a peek at mumsnet, but just in case I'll say it now:
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!!!!!
Hopefully 2016 will give us all lots of BFPs and gorgeous babies!

Katiekins90 · 03/01/2016 17:57

Happy new year everyone!

Had my implant out later then what I thought as my appointment was cancelled. So had it removed on the 30th, I was already bleeding lightly when had it removed but been heavy bleeding since then as well so no idea what's going on really! I had the implant in just under three years so it was nearly due to be removed.
How was everyone's Christmas? X

BloomingR0sey · 04/01/2016 12:55

Bailey, oh no! How disappointing to be ill over Christmas AND your fertile week! Did to manage to dtd at all? My fertile week starts this weekend so we will be using preseed then. I do have a dog, do you ever worry about a little one and your dog?

Katie, I really hope everything gets back to normal for you really quickly! I bet you're desperate to get going now ha!

I had great Christmas and new year with my family! How was yours Bailey and Katie?
I'm really hoping 2016 will be a great year for you all!

Hi Katie! It seems like New Year could be the young-but-not-too-young mums time!
I'm actually a little bit concerned I might be pregnant. Obviously this is the end goal but as I officially became unemployed today, we were hoping to wait until another job came along so I get mat pay.
We dtd right on my fertile window and used the withdraw (I know, I know) my cycle mucked up last month so I was expecting to ovulate when I did.
It's now 8 days later and today I've had two solitary brown drops in my knickers and slight cramping. I only buy cheap pg tests to I'll have to wait at least another week before I POAS. I can't decide if I would be thrilled or slightly terrified!

BloomingR0sey · 04/01/2016 17:57

Cake, I think you should be thrilled! I hate talking about it BUT I actually quit my job quite recently because it was the worst working environment and my stress levels were out of control! I wasn't me at all, I was lucky enough to have my husband which said it was a good thing because stress could be a big factor in not conceiving and we agreed I'd be a stay at home mum IF we could. i know money is the main worry factor but I do odd bits, have done A LOT of ebaying and do some crafts and we're doing okay.
I know you must be panic mode right now but you really have to grab the positives! There's ways around things, support and just think about the long run! I really hope everythung works out for you!

Blooming - we've managed to DTD twice, but not when we're meant to! I do sometimes, especially because my dog is my baby and he's hyperactive, but we'll just have to cross that bridge when we come to it. He knows and understands rules, I'll just have to start implementing more of them before a little one comes along!
Now I've decided to get on a health mission ready for next month! Healthy and happy hopefully lol!

cakesandphotos · 04/01/2016 19:31

Blooming I think you're very brave! You're right of course about a stressful environment. No one should have to deal with it and especially not when TTC!
Unfortunately I love my job as a nanny and I'm heartbroken that my kids are moving to the other side of the world! I'm tempted to buy a puppy to fill the void!
We also want a mortgage so another income would be very handy, if I am pregnant, house hunting will probably have to be out on hold.

Ooh what do you craft? I do personalised clay pieces which I'm going to start selling in a shop soon, exciting times! It's lovely making some money from a hobby :)

BloomingR0sey · 04/01/2016 20:30

Bailey! What a shame! Love the idea of getting healthy though! Gets yourself ready!! Awh same about the dog! My dogs very good with commands but has major crazy hyper moments too!!

Cake, was by far the scariest thing I've ever done but it's literally changed my life, I've never been so happy and it's given me such a different perspective to EVERYTHING! I can imagine it's heartbreaking for you not only loosing a job but the family too!
Very true about the housing situation, well fingers crossed in this case you haven't conceived until you're ready!
Oh how lovely! Lucky you getting them in a shop! I do a lot of glitter items, paintings and have done a couple of memo board things. It's nice it not feeling like work!

Katiekins90 · 05/01/2016 16:26

Any news yet cake?

We rent at the minute and the thought of buying just scares me I'm clueless when it comes to things like that and my oh isn't much better.

I've not mentioned yet this will fingers crossed be my third child. I have two boys Smile we haven't told anyone we are trying yet but I'm already dreading the "oh are you hoping this ones a girl" as so many people even strangers feel the need to ask "when's the girl then?"

I've been trying to google if the bleeding I had after my implant was removed was a period or not. It stopped yesterday so was 5 days long bit confused. I've ordered some ovulation sticks from amazon to try.

What dogs do you girls have? I have a pug and a shitzu both have been fine with my boys but I would put them in the kitchen/garden when the boys where learning to crawl and laying on the floor etc.

Blooming, your craft work sounds lovely!

cakesandphotos · 06/01/2016 09:28

Not yet. I bought a boots test this morning but I'm too scared to do it! I hate the thought of weeing on a £10 note and it being -ve! I've had this really weird brown/pink bleed for the last couple of days. It's not red, definitely still pink with brown bits. I'm not sure if it's ib or af coming early. I'm not due on for another 5 days. I'm starting to hope I am pg!

Buying a house scares the crap out of me but I'm looking forward to being able to make changes and re do the kitchen and things Grin

BloomingR0sey · 06/01/2016 12:27

I brought a house 2 years ago and we ended up buying a major doer upper 😂 it's scary but once you get going it's quite easy and fun! And there's nothing like having your own house! Be aware of people talking down to you because of your age though, people were dreadful with me and DH!

Katie, I have a beagle cross whippet rescue, I just worry because she's a rescue, she's such a well mannered dog though! The bleeding sounds like a period doesn't it? Did you find anything out about it?

Cake, I would wait till AF is due, saves disappointment! I so agree with the weeing on £10! Adds insult to injury when it's negative!

OP posts:
cakesandphotos · 06/01/2016 16:43

We'll definitely end up with a doer upper bloom! Especially with our budget! Fortunately houses in the far north come a bit cheaper and being out in the wilds of wanny make them even cheaper!

I feel utterly sh1t today, I've got a thumping headache and eating makes me nauseous. I had to forgo a doughnut earlier Confused

Katiekins90 · 06/01/2016 17:54

Had a google couldn't seem to find any answers really. I'm going to count it as a period I think.

Where are u all from? I'm Essex I've done three lottos tonight in the hope of being able to afford to buy a decent house around here lol!

I've been the opposite of you cake eating everything and anything in site. I'm meant to be working towards loosing my 8lb Xmas weight gain this week. That's not happening!

I've got a few cheap pregnant tests I'm hoping will be needing soon, I've read about the superdrug ones being accurate and reasonable priced so will pick some on them up soon as well.

cakesandphotos · 06/01/2016 18:25

I'm from Northumberland, I love it!

BloomingR0sey · 06/01/2016 18:27

Cake, It's the best thing to do really! Can put your own touch on everything and it's a nice clean slate! Our house was so cheap when we brought it, and now house prices have gone up so much we were so so lucky to get a house we can stay in for a long time!
Uh oh! Bless you! You going to wait to test?

Katie, sort of sounds like it, I have no experience with the implant though!
I live in a small town in Wiltshire, house prices have shot up recently to rent here is way more than our mortgage!
I'm usually the same as you at Christmas! It takes a while to get back into the swing of things doesn't it haha!
I have superdrug ones ready and waiting ha! I've heard they're good too! 😁

OP posts:
cakesandphotos · 06/01/2016 20:53

Bloom you make it sound less like the pain in the arse we've been imagining!
I'm going to wait until Monday I think. Depends what happens with af I guess.
katie I wish I could eat more! I do enjoy it :p maybe tomorrow my appetite will come back. Right now I'm in bed watching kids movies on Netflix Smile

cakesandphotos · 11/01/2016 12:42

Any updates from anyone??

BloomingR0sey · 11/01/2016 12:58

Cake, we got a mortgage adviser thinking it'll be easier but she messed alot of stuff up, I think first time buying is easier then selling your house and trying to buy another ha!
Annnnyways.. I used preseed yesterday, we used 2g instead of the recommended 3 because I've read that's just too much, I even thought 2 was a bit much! TMI alert! It's incredibly wet and stays around for a while D: we will deffo keep using it though :)
So how's it going for you cake? AF? Tested?

OP posts:
bailey23 · 11/01/2016 13:32

Okay, Ive missed so much by the looks of things! I'm sorry I can't remember what everyone has said (I wish Mumsnet would let you view the post while you're replying on the app!)
I'm now 3 days late and no sign of anything! Still getting creamy looking CM as well so I'm a bit confused. I took a sainsburys test just now and it's negative, I'll wait till the weekend until I try again with FMU because I hate not seeing a positive!
Blooming, if it's quite wet I think it'd put me off, I'd spend all my time laughing rather than concentrating on the job in hand if you know what I mean!
Anybody else got any updates?

cakesandphotos · 11/01/2016 14:14

Haha I can't even imagine how complicated it gets when you're selling as well!
No af yet, and no af signs. I'm starting to think it's unlikely I'm pregnant, and my cycles just got mucked up somehow. I haven't tested yet, I'm too nervous!

CharminglyGawky · 13/01/2016 01:44

Sorry I went awol!!! Hope everyone had a good Christmas and a happy new year and all that!

My hopes for a honeymoon baby were dashed, by loads of pregnancy symptoms, a very very very faint positive followed by AF.... The test and AF happened on the same day which just happened to be my birthday... Which was lovely!

I'm now confused about if it was just line eye or a chemical pregnancy, I'm leaning towards chemical as some of the pregnancy symptoms took several days after AF started before they went away, so surely that can't just be me imagining them!

We didn't bother with December really as my fertile days were over Christmas when we were sleeping on camp beds in a house full of most of my family, doing the deed didn't seem like a good idea for some reason!

So back to trying this month, AF just ending so will find the preseed. If I did have a chemical pregnancy then I think I'm going to look at it as a good thing, I did get pregnant no matter how brief it was, if we did it once we can do it again and then maybe the next will stick... Here's to hoping anyway!

Best of luck to all, and Bailey I hope this is your month!

BloomingR0sey · 13/01/2016 12:15

Bailey, omg any update!? How crazy would that be getting pregnant on the month you didn't try!
Cake, any update?
Charming, glad you're back after Christmas! You have a great attitude if it was a chemical pregnancy, so good to be positive!

A little update, we used preseed again yesterday and used it "externally" this time and it was a lot less messy! I'm really trying not to get my hopes up about using preseed 😩

cakesandphotos · 13/01/2016 12:45

Still no af but a bfn at the doctors :( to make matters worse I have to go for an internal examination to see why af is all askew. Joy!
Charming you have an amazing attitude! Hopefully this month will be your month :)

BloomingR0sey · 13/01/2016 14:22

Bless you cake! So fustrating not knowing isn't it! I've had loads of internals a couple of years ago, I don't know if you've ever had them before but the thought it definetly more scary than the actual examination! AANNDD you'll hopefully get some answers and put your mind at rest!

I love how positive all you girls are, I've read so many feeds that end up bitchy! I'm really glad you all replied to my post!!!
