Hi all!
Me and hubby are 23, I've been off the pill since we've been married so coming up 2 years and we've been TTC for a little less than a year. I tend to go by my cm for ovulation as I have a 33day cycle, we do have regular sex through the out month too. I'm also taking folic acid. It's really starting to get to me that it's taking so long, everyone my age seems to have first time luck or getting pregnant unplanned.
Anyone have and advice or stories? I'd love to hear!!

Doesn't matter how big or small.. it's yours and you've worked for it! And has a bedroom for a mini me which is all you need ;) We were so lucky because we got our house really cheap then house prices went up so much in our area! We can hopefully extend in the future and stay here for a long time!

Forgot to ask as well, have you been thinking of any baby names?

OP posts:
bailey23 · 04/12/2015 07:33

Exactly, and hubby is a builder so hopefully the next house we move to will be built by us and for us :)
Well you must've got really lucky then! House prices where I live are really expensive now, especially for a first time buyer, so I'm glad we bought when we did!
I've actually had baby names planned for the last 5 years! Mia for a girl and Charlie for a boy. And DH agrees with them!! Although I did originally want Amelia and shorten it to Mia, but he didn't like that.
Have you got any in mind?

BloomingR0sey · 04/12/2015 11:08

Oh wow lucky you! I wish I married a builder ha! Handy to have around the house hahaha. Sounds like you were lucky getting the house when you did! Would be so much harder now!
Lovely names! such sweet names!
We both like Darcey for a girl but worried because I don't want it to sound stuck up! And for boy my husband likes Aston or Caspar, quite different but I just don't know!

OP posts:
bailey23 · 04/12/2015 18:11

I like Darcey, I think it's a really cute name. I don't think it's stuck up though. I like Aston but tbh Caspar reminds me of the ghost! Or one of J-Lo's boyfriends/husbands - but mainly the ghost! Lol
And he isn't always a handy person around the house, I do the diy! He thinks you can fix stuff with silicone seal and duct tape!
So what does your hubby do then?
I sent DH to buy some tests at sainsburys today, ready for Mon unless AF arrives beforehand so now I just need to keep my willpower until then!

BloomingR0sey · 04/12/2015 18:50

When I think Caspar I think friendly ghost too! Hahahaha!
Oh I do diy too, I'm pretty much the man of the house ha! My husband is a car salesman, everyone thinks he must be a right arse when they hear what he does but thankfully after meeting him they realise he's a good guy!
Ooooooooh I'm so excited for you!! Just wait! Because if AF turns up just means you have to go again but if you test and it's a false negative it'll feel awful! Try hold out! Fingers and toes crossed for you!

OP posts:
bailey23 · 04/12/2015 21:46

I don't mean any offence by the way, I'm just the type of person that would rather say the truth than utter BS! And at the end of the day, my opinion doesn't really matter anyways lol
Ooohh I work with salesmen, not cars though I work in agriculture - the ones I work with are funny and kind and genuine but there are some smarmy ones - but it's the same in every industry! At least you'll get perks like cheaper MOTs and services etc.
Have you used the preseed yet? How's it going? What was it like to use?
And yeah, trying to be patient and think positive, although in trying not to get my hopes up (my brain is mush from me doing battles in my head about what to think!)

BloomingR0sey · 04/12/2015 23:04

Don't worry, offence taken! World would be a better place if people spoke honestly!
My husband works with some right slime balls, they just give everyone else a bad name!
We haven't used it yet, I'm not sure if we will get a chance too, my poor DH has come down with terrible flu! He's not well at all, I'm abit reluctant to force it on him ha! Fingers crossed he'll be better in a couple of days and we can at least try it.
I try tell myself AF is coming so if it was to happen i dint feel let down ha! Better said than done though! Try not to drive yourself crazy!

bailey23 · 05/12/2015 10:40

Oh no! Get some tomato soup down him and a load of water, then stick him in a sauna!
We've arranged a night bowling with our mates tonight (who have just had a baby that we'll be godparents to) so hopefully that can take my mind off whether or not I'm coming on anytime soon.
I've never been so paranoid about what my body does and feels like before we started TTC!

BloomingR0sey · 05/12/2015 10:45

I feel so sorry for him but was trust you to get ill now ha!
Awh nice! Yea that should distract you for a little while! I so agree! It's like you're watching yourself under a microscope and analysing every blink!

OP posts:
bailey23 · 06/12/2015 21:38

Haha yep I know what you mean!
Well AF is due tomorrow and I'm getting no signs to say she's on her way ... Yet!
Never got to go bowling on sat night, we live in Cumbria and everywhere has been flooded, luckily we were okay but places not even a mile away are destroyed!

queenoftheworld93 · 06/12/2015 22:08

Good luck Bailey! I'm 20dpo and still no AF.

BloomingR0sey · 06/12/2015 22:27

Oh no Bailey! It's devastating! I saw it on the news, glad to hear you're okay though! Are you testing tomorrow or going to wait???
Queeny, have you tested?

How is DP doing blooming?

Kellz92 · 07/12/2015 00:13

Hi im 23 too, we are ttc #2. This is the first month of using opks and apps. Been off the pill since July. Our lg was a surprise, and we were pregnant at the start of the year (surprise too) but lost the baby. So thought it was easy but clearly isnt when you really want one! Xx

Kellz92 · 07/12/2015 00:17

I frgot to say im 6dpo.

And Queen i see a second line eeeeeeek!! Are you going to test again?

I just bought a pack of 50 hpts, hoping not to need half of them lol xx

bailey23 · 07/12/2015 07:36

20 days??!! Omg queen that's some serious waiting! But I'm sure there's a line there!

Blooming I'm going to wait until Thursday, I have a day off then and it gives me plenty of chance to get the disappointment of AF if she's a couple of days behind schedule but I hope she doesn't come at all because I have a baby stopping her!

Hello kellz! I think we spoke on the December bus (about Southpaw)

Good luck to everybody - blooming good luck for your DH getting better so you can jump on him (and a hopeful congratulations to queen!)

BloomingR0sey · 07/12/2015 19:38

Queen, I see a line too! Have you tried a digital test?
Bailey, good idea! I'm so excited! Hopefully AF doesn't show up or if she does she's on time!
Kellz, sorry to hear about your loss at the beginning of the year! What apps are you using?

So it turned out that hubby actually was poorly because a couple of weeks ago he had a mole removed and his stitches suddenly got infected which has made him quite ill :( had to get a&e to sort it but on the mend now! I think we're out for this month one but will hopefully get to try the Preseed!

Good luck everyone! So excited!

Are you under a lot of stress at home or work? If you are then it's possible that your body is using the things that make progesterone to make cortisol (stress hormone) instead. Best things you can do are moderate exercise, and try some mindfulness (this sounds like new age crap but it really works- a few women i work with have got pregnant just by lowering stress with mindfulness without ever starting on the herbs) because they all help to reduce stress hormone. Even worrying about not getting pregnant can make this happen.

I hope you get your good news really soon.

Hi ladies, can I join in? I'm 25, very newly married and pretty desperate for a BFP! We technically have not been using contraception for well over a year now but have not been 'trying' as such and we have had a busy time of it moving halfway across the country, work and wedding planning so tbh there have probably only been about 6 months when a BFP was even really possible let alone likely!

In the 2WW now... I think, my normally reliable cycle chose last month to screw itself up completely so I have no idea what's going on (and the last 3 years of meticulously recording cycles is not much use now!) but I think I felt ovulation pains right in the middle of the honeymoon... So fingers crossed and I think I am just over halfway through the 2ww now.

Oh and I can see a second line too Queenie!!!

Kellz92 · 08/12/2015 13:20

Fx you get your bfp soon CharminglyGawky

I know what you mean with wedding planning. I was off the pill for 8 months before the wedding, found out on the honeymoon i was pregnany, didnt expect it as of the stress and how busy we were we didnt have time to dtd as often and i wasnt recording my cycles so didnt know when i was ovulation.

Fx for you

BloomingR0sey · 08/12/2015 20:49

Kellz, I'm using my days and ovia, ovia seems to be abit more reliable for me!

Nottingham, I'm glad you mentioned it actually because I've always had the thought in the back of my mind that it was stress stopping us, (long story short) I was bullied quite baldy for about 3 years at my job, I recently quit because of it and it just completely knocked me off as a person, I get very anxious about things I never used to but I'm thankfully getting better now , exercise deffo helped! Thank you for bringing it up and I hope I've tackled it enough for it not to be a problem anymore!

Charming,HELLLOO! Isn't it annoying when your cycle is perfect and one month messes it all up! How amazing would it be to conceive on your honeymoon! Good luck! Got my fingered crossed for you!

Still no AF, CD31 now and only a bit of brown stuff when I wiped earlier. I've started getting twingey feelings whenever I lie down/sit and chill though, I'm normally in agony before AF but these don't hurt and I've never felt them before. Confused
I just want to know one way or the other then I can cry my eyes out or jump for joy but I'm hoping it's an early Christmas present off Santa, not a monthly pain in the arse 'gift' from Mother Nature
