Kittiwakesnowflakes · 11/12/2006 16:36

Congratulations to you Endless great news

FactsandFigures - hope you have better luck than me AF just arrived after messing me around the last few days I am feeling a bit down it didn't happen for us this time but it's still early days for us and trying to think positive.

Good luck to anyone else at the end of the 2ww it's such a mindmessing time.

sparklytreeangel · 11/12/2006 16:44

Hey Kittiwakes big hug... I hope you feel better soon

Eaglebird · 11/12/2006 17:12

Congratulations endlesslove & uki !

A bit about me, as I'm a newbie:
I'm 38 & dp is 40. Found I was pg for the first time in August (which was a shock & surprise as we weren't actively trying, although I had come off the pill) but sadly had m/c in October at 12 weeks (baby had died at 6 weeks apparently).
Now desperate to be pg again. This is my first cycle of ttc since the m/c, but haven't been religiously checking the calendar, or measuring temp or checking cm yet.
Af due 20th Dec - hope it doesn't come.
Had a dream last night that I was pg again, so hope it comes true.

DD1ofcolandgerry · 11/12/2006 17:19

Hi everyone,

Ive been away for so long that Im sure most of you dont know me, but this morning I joined the same club as Endless and Uki. I got a bfp, but Im keeping it a small bfp as Im so scared after the miscarriage in Sept. Like endless I havent been posting, but have been peeping in every so often to catch up. Lots and lots of baby dust to everyone, esp Mrsmcclause and Natty (allthough I havent seen Natty around in a while...I hope you are well). Im not going to check out until I feel that this bfp is going to stick

love and baby dust to all

dd1

ps clomid, preseed and daily bding for 8 nights in a row did the trick!!!
pps...it near killed us!!!!!!!!!!!!

sparklytreeangel · 11/12/2006 17:32

DD1 that's great news, fingers crossed for you

decorativeD2Bmum · 11/12/2006 18:15

congratulations dd1. bfps are springing up everywhere

my a/f has arrived
the bottle of wine is going to be making a strong appearance tonight.

babylove123 · 11/12/2006 19:09

Hey,
Just wondered if i could join in boyfriend and i have been trying for 5 months now with no success. Although looks poss we may have caught last month but it didnt work.....

Waiting to find out now if pregnant. Am 10 days late but tests still neg (see thread in pregnancy)......

festivefettle · 11/12/2006 19:58

Greedy - don't be gone!! I've been away for the weekend. I've only just got back and managed to read through the thread. I'll really really miss you - please come back and say hello and good bye properly. So so sorry to hear AF has come again . I'm still hanging in there 11/12DPO, so only knows whats going to happen (CD52! which is getting on for a record). Oh please hunny, come back so I can say goodbye at least? But I do understand taking a break, I think I'm going to have to sit back and not obsess so much for the next cycle.

Ready - you too, I'm going to miss you so much too. Who's going to make sure I don't test tomorrow morning, just in case? Just for you, I will try and hold off until Friday/Saturday, if by some small miracle there are no AF signs by then. Not really very positive though after this really long cycle.

I'm really sorry to hear about all the AFs that have arrived. Take care all of you and lots of babydust and luck for your next cycles.

UKI & Endless - Congratulations to you both. I wish you healthy, happy 8 months ahead of you both

MrsMCS - I hope the new job is good? And I hope DH is up to action in the next few days?

Impatient, I'm not an expert, but I think I read that if you have lots of wet CM interspersed throughout your cycle, it can be a sign of various things, including polycystic ovaries, anovulatory cycle or even hypothyroidism. However, in nearly all these cases, you wouldn't see the temp rise indication ovulation. Hope you have some clarity on what is going on soon and your BFP in time for Christmas

BTW - what is "spink" value? Am I showing my ignorance? My naivity?

To everyone who I know I've missed, big hugs and luck to you all - please lets get some more BFPs on this thread

Take care all

x

FactsAndFigures · 11/12/2006 20:08

Evening everyone.

DD1 & Endless - Congratulations on your BFPs

babylove123 & Eaglebird - welcome to the thread, hoping you get your BFPs soon.

Kittiwakesnowflakes & decorativeD2Bmum - So sorry to hear your AFs have arrived.

I'm not sure what is happening to me . AF was due Friday 8th and as yet I've had no symptoms or spotting. I was on a regular 28 day cycle, however last month, it was a 32 day cycle and I had spotting at 2 days late and AF at 4 days late. I am now 3 days late this time.

I've not tested as yet, as I don't feel pregnant! No sore boobs etc. and I don't feel like AF is on the way either One strange thing that I did notice on Thursday night (day before AF was due) I was led in bed and I had a weird sensation in my lower abdomen - kind of like butterflies IYKWIM??

Has anyone else felt like this and then got a BFP?

decorativeD2Bmum · 11/12/2006 20:35

facts and figures - i think you should do a test lots of people dont experience symptoms until later on in pregnancy. i wish you the best of luck. keep us informed x

i have had a little cry this evening that was my last chance for a bfp this year and i am now facing new year and due date of my m/c babyless and pregnantless (?) i just feel that i have gone back to square one and life is such a bitch.
we started off the beginning of this year on such a high and now it feels i have hit rock bottom.
i am considering taking a break from ttc having a holiday and then starting again fresh in summer. this is somthing i may have to talk over with dp.
i did have a good feeling about this month too after my spotting thought it could have been implantation but wishful thinking.

sorry to rant on and sound so self absorbed.

MrsMcClaus · 11/12/2006 20:40

MrsMcClaus · 11/12/2006 20:41

Decorative - you are not self-absorbed honey, just hurting and we all know how you feel and you are entitled. Sending huge hugs to you and just I could do something to make you feel better.

decorativeD2Bmum · 11/12/2006 20:45

thanks mrsmc as always you are there when the going gets tough..
its just the first day of a/f always a toughy!

AnnieA · 11/12/2006 20:53

Thanks for the advice on vitamins MrsMcClaus. I started taking B6, raspberry leaves and agnus castus last month to try and lengthen my luteal phase. This month I think i ov'd on day 10 which is earlier than normal for me(usually average day 12). So it might be helping. What i need now is a longer cycle. My average is 23 days, although the other month it was only 19 days, so luteal phase can be 8-12, days. Going to the docs for a blood test tomorrow morning, so maybe that will tell me more.

greedyformincepies · 11/12/2006 21:24

HEY FESTIVE!!!!!! - get old annie hey!? did you hear what she said? she needs a longer cycle!!!!! shall we offer her a swap!!!! do you want my 42 day cycle annie or festive's 52 day cycle? i would go for festives at the moment cos she may have a bfp just round the corner! (fingers crossed festive)
.......HOW CRAP AM I by the way!!!!????? i said i was taking a break and i only lasted 3 days! hopeless! i was feeling SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO sorry for myself when af arrived and i was wallowing in self pity, but now on cd3 i have got my head round the fact that there is no way i can have a baby before next september now! and i think once you get your head round the fact that you are onto the next cycle you just have to kind of get on with it! SO.....that is what i am going to do!
another thing......i was determined NOT to even think about when i would ovulate this month, but its something you just kind of calculate without thinking, so i know when i should ovulate and DH will be in bloody New york all week so i reckon it will be next xmas before i get pg at this rate!
i have so much to say to you all
firstly.........CONGRATS on the bfps!!!!!! i am so happy/ jealous!!! i hope you all have fantastic pregnancies and gorgeous little babies that dont look at all like winston churchill!
READY and SNOWYDAYS- you are obviously better at taking a break than me, do you lurk and not post???????? i bet you BOTH do! its too addictive isn't it? but you feel slightly more in control when you resist posting a message dont you!
PERVE - so sorry about your car, some people are complete twats aren't they. i hope you are better rested and feeling happier now. are you still doing relaxed squirting? or secret back of the car under a blanket squirting? i would LOVE to know where you live so i could come and bang on the car window to scare you one night!!!!! dont stress too much about your weird cycle, you have probably had loads in the past and just never noticed before. you tend to notice everything when you are ttc dont you?
MrsMcSpink - hows your new job then? are the people nice? hows your dh and dc?

this message is getting huge! i am going to post it and then continue!

greedyformincepies · 11/12/2006 21:39

decorative - i am so sorry you have had such a crappy few days....losing your card and af, poor you. and you feel as sorry for yourself as you want.....(did you read my 'self absorbed, poor poor me' post on friday!? makes me cringe now, but hey we are all allowed to be dissapointed and sad cos when af arrives it is a really big deal when you are ttc, so i hope the wine is going down well)

factsandfigures - do a test....i would! how can you resist? i REALLY hope its good news for you!

kittiwake - sorry about af, i had a good feeling about you too....but then i had a good feeling about me (secretly!) and that was wrong so what do i know!

sparklyangel - you are sounding positive and sparkly? are you wearing nipple tassles?

honeyapple - i wanted to ask you something, it should probably be a whole other thread....but....do you worry about age gaps? your first 2 must be quite close and do you worry that a third one would get left out at all? my 2 are 17 months apart and IF i have a third it will be at least 2 years 10 months younger than my youngest. my 2 get on so well at the moment it just worries me that another one might get left out. i sort of wonder how much longer we will carry on ttc before we give up cos i dont want the gap to be too big.

SORRY ABOUT MASSIVE LONG POST!!!!!

WAKEY WAKEY!!!!!EVERYONE!!!!!

festivefettle · 11/12/2006 21:55

Hey Greedy - glad you came back!!! And glad you sounding happier - was worried about you earlier.

I hope Ready is around willing me not to test tomorrow!

MrsMC - glad job sounds good, now all you need is a BFP! I got my first one after 2 years, within 6 weeks of starting a new job - so everything crossed for you now!!!

D2BM - I'm so sorry you are feeling down. I do know how you feel. I had a mc back in Feb and the start of this year was on top of the world, as we finally had a BFP after 10months of trying. Made all these plans to have them crash down again. I really wanted to be pg by my due date in Sept, but I wasn't. And to be honest, the build up the due date was worse than the actual day. I felt a huge weight lift from my shoulders when it has passed - but I still have low days, when I wonder "what if!" So big {{{HUGS}}} and wishing you lots of luck for this next cycle

Annie - the grass is alwasy greener isn't it?. I hope the blood test tomorrow gives you some helpful insight. Take care

Take care all

x

Snowyowlet · 11/12/2006 21:57

greedyformincepies · 11/12/2006 22:04

festive......i would SO LOVE you to get your bfp! i know everone on here deserves it , but i REALLY REALLY feel like you do. fingers and everything crossed for you, try not to test early and risk getting disapointed.
where's that clearblue fairy when you need her hey!

festivefettle · 11/12/2006 22:07

Thanks Greedy!xxx

honeyapple · 11/12/2006 22:18

Hi greedy-
Well, I have a surprise for you... my two DC are not close together... DS is 8 next month and DD just turned 4. So a 4 year gap. I am looking at a 5 yr gap if i ever get PG this time around!
It wasnt really planned this way- My kids have different biological fathers. My DP however is "daddy" to both of them. (We became a couple when DS was 2.)
It has taken me 3 years to convince DP that we should have another baby! So typically, since he's agreed and now got really into the idea... i cant get a BFP!

So, having experience of biggish age gap already, I would say that actually it is really nice. My two DC get on very well. DD is very proud of her big brother, and he is very kind and helpful to her (most of the time!).
In an ideal world i would have kids closer in age, but that wasnt what happened, and now i wouldnt change it. Perhaps I will have 2 more babies a bit closer together in the future... mmmm 4 kids....

honeyapple · 11/12/2006 22:19

Oh and big hugs and congrats for BFPs .

MincePieShu · 11/12/2006 23:01

Hi All,

Been a bit busy, unable to get to a pc (too busy to post from work and DH needing to use this one at home) and generally just lurking in the background. Got horribly hammered at the work Christmas do on Friday, to drown my sorrows, I suppose..., and spent most of Saturday recovering - what a waste. Due to ttc I hardly drink anything any more, even during AF, normally.

Congrats on the BFPs, Uki, Endless, DD1 Commiserations on the AFs Decorative, hope you will start to feel more positive again soon.

Minxpie - thanks for asking after me - that's stirred me from my silent lurking. I'm hoping that being on holiday from next week will be enough to relax me a bit and, more importantly, mean that DH and I spend enough time together to get round to BDing at all, let alone at the right time. So, probably won't be around much until the end of my 2ww, around 5th/6th Jan. Hope that this is your month!!

Wishing you all loads of babydust, in case I don't get much chance to post this week.
xx

Chooster · 12/12/2006 08:22

Hi, Just popping on to say Congratulations to DD1, Uki and Endless - Thats fab news. Thats a real run of BPF's isn't it!!! Fingers crossed there'll be some more and you'll have a bumper xmas month

babylove123 · 12/12/2006 09:05

Hi Facts & figures...

Last month i was 3 days late and had those sensations. I did bleed in the end but on my 3rd day and i am always like clockwork! Spoke to doc and he said it was likely i had caught but had not kept it (upsetting slightly).

Good luck on yours tho, its a good sign!
