Well ladies, I'm off for 10 days now so doubt I'll be on at all but if I am lucky enough to get my BFP, I'll find a way! 10dpo today and Af due Sunday but I am having cramps today so we'll see.

Wishing you all a happy, healthy and fertile New Year and babydust to all, especially those who need it over the next few days, I'll be thinking of you.

See you soon!

Ready · 28/12/2006 11:04

MrsMcJnr - Have a wonderful holiday, fingers crossed you come back with a BFP. I read that you tested (tut tut )early, no more of that please!! Enjoy your new year celebrations... and hope not to see you on here in 2007, except for updates of baby growth and the pregnant lady glow.

Take care

x

Ready · 28/12/2006 11:08

ImpatientElf · 28/12/2006 13:44

So sorry to hear your news Fettle. So sorry xx

jess1996 · 28/12/2006 14:33

After 5 months of trying I've finally got a BFP .

Although I've only posted a few times I've found these conception threads a great source of comfort as I've been finding TTC quite stressful and it's always good to know that there are others with the same worries.

My body went mad when I started TTC and I had 3 months of completely erratic cycles (34 days, 40 days, 21 days). After that I started temp'ing which really helped. Anyway, in case anyone is interested I did nothing different this month and the only symptoms I had were boobs which were quite a bit sorer than usual (although they improved a bit around the time AF was due, so I thought it was all over). I waited until I was 17dpo and then used a Boots test and got a strong BFP straightaway.

Anyway big congrats to all those with a BFP this month and good luck to all.

BoJingles · 28/12/2006 18:48

Hi to you all!!!

I too got a BFP last week, just in time to stop the booze for christmas. I have tested twice as I couldn't believe the BFP the first time . Over the moon and tickled pink . I'm in the throws of spotting and awful cramping at the moment which is hugely worrying and I'm just keeping everything crossed that all is going to be ok. Off to see the Doc tomorrow if cramping continues, otherwise been advised by the midwife to keep feet up and rest. It all feels really strange and I don't feel even remotley pregnant and feel like my period will arrive at anytime. Having to pinch myself that this is actually happening Everything tightly crossed together - better put feet up again now otherwise DH will be telling me off

Fettle - I'm sooo sorry for your loss, I really really hope you're ok.

greedyformincepies · 28/12/2006 23:32

fettle, i am so truly sorry to hear your news. how completely crap for you, i cant imagine how you must be feeling. and i know its no consolation, but a friend of mine had 2 miscarriages and open heart surgery within a year in 2005 and had practucally given up, and now has identical twins (born in november). you must feel so shit, but try not to give up hope. 2007 HAS to be a better year for you doesn't it, you seem like you really deserve a better one.

Ready · 29/12/2006 10:22

Congratulations BoJingles and Jess1996!!!!!!

MerryKitkatmas · 29/12/2006 14:24

Fettle hon, I'm so sorry to hear your news.

BoJingles and Jess1996 congrats - glad to hear some good news.

I'm feeling OK - a little queasy now and again, mostly just knackered though. Feeling a little scared to be honest - keep worrying about work and money and how we're all going to fit in our tiny flat etc etc. It's so strange - I've wanted this for months and now that it's here it all feels so real and terrifying. Trying to put things into perspective and focus on the positives, but I just feel so overwhelmed by it all. How did the MNetters who already have kids feel? Did you feel OK about everything or did it happen slowly? This will be our 1st, so I'm just not sure what to expect...

Sorry to go on and sound so negative - especially when there is news of miscarriages and BFNs - I'm just a little scared and worried.... Someone kick me up the backside please?!

Ready · 29/12/2006 14:27

KitKat - I'm sure it is perfectly normal to start worrying about the logistics of having a baby for the first time. Don't beat yourself up about it!! But try to relax and enjoy your pregnancy!!

XmassyCharlotte · 29/12/2006 18:34

Huge congratulations BoJingles and Jess1996! What a wonderful Christmas pressie - here's to two very sticky pgs.

Is anyone else left to test in December?? I know MrsMcClaus is off on holiday, and a couple of others are away. I'm not quite sure when AF is due for me, was due yesterday according to my previous three cycles which were all 27 days. Am now on CD28 but didn't OV until CD17. I think the 'stress' of thinking about charting/TTC etc might have delayed OV a bit so my cycle might be extended. Don't feel pg at all. Have had usual cramping/sore boobs. Did a couple of cheapie tests and they've both been -ve. Just want it out of the way really so I can enjoy NYE!

MadameBRANDYBUTTERfly · 29/12/2006 20:17

My AF ( or BFP) is due tomorrow so I might test in the morning as we are going round to our newighbours for drinks in the afternoon.

Ready · 29/12/2006 20:19

Fingers crossed for you!!!!

greedyformincepies · 29/12/2006 21:05

so sorry i forgot to say congrats to those of you with bfps! well done! i WILL be joining you soon!

twix!.....don't stress out!!!! i completely freaked about most things when i was pg first time.....how will we do this?....how will i afford that?......what if i am a crap mum?....etc! it is natural to worry about such a major event in your life and you wouldn't be human if you didn't..........but....it will all be fine!!!!! ......i didnt worry at all second time round cos i knew how easy it all was and how much fun too! you will be fine sweetie!

whoopsfallenoveragain · 30/12/2006 07:56

Good luck and fingers crossed XmassyCharlotte & MadameBRANDYBUTTERfly
KitKat - I felt like that too with ds!

MerryKitkatmas · 30/12/2006 10:47

Thanks guys - was starting to worry that I was a complete loon! xx

babylove123 · 30/12/2006 14:18

Cor, i go away for 2 days and come back to 2 BFP's and a possible 1! Wow, go you! Thats great!

Fettle, im so sorry to see your news though, dp and i very sad for your loss and wish you the very best for a happy and healthy 2007

Well im now 28 days overdue with neg tests, weird! Kinda given up worrying now as i dont know wots going on! Made apt for 8th jan in which i will be 6 days past next af if i dont come on. At least i'll be taken seriously then! Just hoping its the news i want........

HogmanayHangover · 30/12/2006 14:30

I have changed my name for new year and also for a bit of anonimity as a family member comes on here and I don't really want them finding out until I am ready to tell them.

I have just tested and got a BFN, but I have had the niggly headaches that usually accompany AF.

Will test again on Monday IF she has not arrived.

Ammy12 · 30/12/2006 14:31

whats an ovulation microscope?

Ready · 30/12/2006 16:01

Oooh the intrigue as to HogmanayHangover is!!! Fingers crossed AF stays away!

XmassyCharlotte · 30/12/2006 18:08

Hello all remaining Decemberites!

Now CD29; last 3 cycles have been 27 days. No spotting at all, temps holding. BUT BFNs every time - even with a Clearblue. I'm 12 dpo at the moment and I'm DESPERATE to know one way or the other before NYE partying hits!

One more Clearblue left and I don't think I'm going to be able to resist the lure tomorrow morning. Apologies in advance to the Clearblue Fairy!

Fingers crossed for you, MadameBRANDYButterfly. Did you cave in and test this morning?

Thanks for the good wishes, whoops.

Babylove - really feel for you not knowing one way or the other. Have you tried doing all sorts of different tests? All becomes very expensive, getting obsessed with testing! My cheapies have just run out and I'm onto the Clearblues now - so will have to ration!

Ammy - a saliva ovulation microscope can be bought for £15 ish from www.accessdiagnostics.co.uk (I think). It's another way of predicting ovulation, by looking at the way your saliva dries. Apparently if it crystallizes into a ferning pattern when it dries that signifies that you are fertile. I bought one for this month and I have to say I NEVER really saw any ferning on it - apart from on CD5, which was wayyy before I ovulated.

Good luck to all testing over the next few days. I wish AF wouldn't have chosen this month to arrive late..!!

babylove123 · 30/12/2006 18:53

Hey Xmassy, Hope your AF doesnt arrive, that would be a great present! The no drinking thing is getting to me, its been 5 months! decided not to drink at all whilst ttc incase of anything and now 5 months later, im screaming! Not 1 drop of alcohol has touched my lips!!!

I dont drink often anyway but its the knowing you cant that makes it obv!!!

Yeh i've tried some i bought off ebay, 2 boots, 1 normal clearblue and 1 dig. Trying a superdrug next thurs. Doing the rounds

greedyformincepies · 30/12/2006 22:36

xmassy - just go for it and have a drink! if you don't and then you aren't pg you will be annoyed that you didnt! if that makes sense! and if you do turn out to be pg, you might feel a bit bad that you had a drink, but hey...you'll be pg so you wont really care!!!!!!!
ENJOY YOURSELVES EVERYONE!!!!
good luck with your testing tomorrow xmassy!

XmassyCharlotte · 31/12/2006 11:55

Well boo. AF came full-on this morning with no prior warning via spotting. Feel like poo, loads of cramping etc. And the bad moods to go with 1st day . Still, will pop a couple of nurofen, get on with the day's festivities, and see you all over on the Jan thread!
Happy New Year all, and good luck MadameBRANDYBUTTERfly.
