I filled up the last thread - sorry ladies... so thought I best start a new one since there is still a long ol' time to go in December!

OP posts:
XmassyCharlotte · 06/12/2006 11:28

Morning all.

Good question about the 'every day or every other day' (arguments permitting!). I've no idea. Is one better than the other?

XmassyCharlotte - cycle 2 (of trying with a modicum of enthusiasm) - CD5 - due to OV CD14 - AF due 29th - will also be getting plastered on NYE if a BFN!!
sparklytreeangel - cycle 5 - CD13 due to OV CD17 AF due CHRISTMAS DAY too!
Ticklemepinkwithtinsel = cycle 10 - CD 22 -( ovulate around about 20 -23) - AF due 17th ish - Did get a BFP in July but had m/c in August
Honeyapple- cycle 4 - CD10- due to OV CD14(?)AF due CHRISTMAS DAY.
Snowydays - cycle Zillion (but not as many as Snowyowlet (maybe it's something to do with snow??) - CD 16 - DPO 4 (maybe - but dodgy temperatures this month) af due 13th ish
Merrykitkatmas - cycle 3 - CD15 (due to ov CD16 I think) - AF due 21st Dec (ish)
Kittiwakesnowflakes - cycle 2 - CD26 12DPO(I think? guessing though) and planning on testing on the 9th if no AF

MerryKitkatmas · 06/12/2006 11:28

What's the CBFM telling you to do?!

I got a PEAK today - we BD'd last night, so not sure whether to do it again tonight or not!

MerryKitkatmas · 06/12/2006 11:30

Sorry last post was for Sparkly!

I dont know which is better xmassyc... It feels safer doing it every day, but then I'm sure I read somewhere that it's best to give the sperm a chance to recover or something! Not really sure - MrsMcJ we need you as the font of all TTC knowledge!!

sparklytreeangel · 06/12/2006 11:35

The CBFM is low telling but the other signs are looking good I haven't been telling him anything which was working well I thought until yesterday! Every other day would be fine with me I just really fancied it yesterday

snowydays · 06/12/2006 11:35

Hi My consultant advised every other day (mind you he also advised only 7 units per weeks.... ... so what does he know )

MrsMcClaus · 06/12/2006 11:46

Morning All! Thank goodness there was a new thread. I thought 11.42 and the first to post, where the hell is everyone!! Now I have posted on both the new ones, which are we using!?

Totally shattered! My poor cat has fur missing and a huge fluorescent pink cast on her leg, she is most unhappy and spent most of the night telling me so. She has snagged her Achilles tendon poor thing. DH on the other hand is doing well. Work is absolute hell, my employers are being real gits and I?m going to have to work like a slave to get my handover done by the end of the week (hence being on here in protest!)

Greedy ? common sense is not my forte! you can?t leave over Christmas and New Year, I?ll be in the 2ww and I?ll need you!

FFFloss ? Oh chick, so sorry you are down, huge hugs, it is such an awful feeling. A BFN now doesn?t mean it?s over for the cycle though even if you are 13dpo but I guess sometimes, you just know what your body is up to don?t you . Hope you feel much better soon, cuddle your DS and try and smile. Totally understand if you need to get away but just know that we are here to support you and perk you up if you need us.

Tinselledtryer ? huge hugs to you too, hope your DD?s wise words made you smile at the very least .

BoJingles ? I take my grapefruit juice in the morning. About 150ml. I just take it as my morning juice and one of my 5 a day so take it throughout my cycle but then, I love the stuff! I think if you don?t you can start from cd5 through to OV for it to have the desired effect.

Snowydays ? yes, I do take notes! I like your mobile phone light idea, I know Chooster did that too. Clever ladies! At the moment, I am sleeping alone so not an issue ? well, I say alone but my 3 cats have taken up residence too so there is even less room then when DH is around! Re the B6, too much B6 can cause problems for you too, nervous system ones I think and can also be damaging for the same reason for a baby that?s why I have read you should stop it after OV but I am totally prepared to be wrong if Snowyowlet was told to take it throughout by her Consultant.

Hello Rudolph?sReady ? course we missed you! How about we go on Dragon?s Den with our TTC thermometer idea, we could add some extras over and above the light like a sexy female voice that alerts DH to the time being right, we?ll let Greedy write the dialogue. How about an added extra - Sawyer saying ?now lady, don?t even think about testing today, currentbunbaby? (you know he has funny names for everyone!) Mind you, those blokes on Dragon?s Den don?t seem to have any problems giving their wives BFPs do they, kids galore!) Thank you for sharing your prize babydust with me, very generous .

Hello Abbeymeg ? that was sweet of you, thank you!

Welcome Thechristmassyone always nice to make new friends, tell us all about you. Is this your first time TTC or do you have kiddies already? Hope you?ll find us friendly and supportive .

FestiveFettle ? hello Know what you mean about the country, I live 20 mins out of Edinburgh now but often feel like I?ve lost the pulse of the City.
Bubble78 ? hello! How are you? How are you getting on? Got a bump? We are the proud owners of 2 BFPs in December already! We have Lovelybird and Peccarolloveragain and a few hopefuls for this week! Not bad for the first week of the month hey!

Natty ? great to have you back but hope that you?ll not be need support . I can totally imagine that you got more work done . From Monday, I?ll only be on in my own time too! festive name? NuttynattyChestnuts? PlayitagainNat-King Cole!? I am truly rubbish at names , Greedy?s right, Ready ? get on the case!

Now will catch up on this thread!

MrsMcClaus · 06/12/2006 12:32

FestiveFettle ? hang in there, you never know! I get new symptoms each cycle, Mother Nature can be so mean!

Thechristmassyone ? moving house on 20/12? How exciting, a new house for Christmas! My boobs have been getting really sore and inflated prior to AF the last couple of cycles but you may be right about packing boxes braless! I?m a 32EE and am shortsighted and I never go anywhere without a bra and my specs!

Snowyowlet ? Glad the supplements are working for you I do think they have worked for me too. It?s interesting what you say about the IVF route, I know that we are only really starting out (in the scheme of things) but I cannot even bring myself to think about IVF or adoption yet, I imagine it is like deciding you want to have a baby, the time just feels right. I wish you every success and hope that knowing that you have that to resort to will bring along a BFP in the meantime. Everything crossed.

Minxi ? I had a similar experience last cycle so I know exactly how you feel. Very frustrating isn?t it!? I was doing pg tests when I had brown CM ? seemed totally irrational. I?d say to hold off thinking about it for a couple of days and see what happens. Not much else you can do. Sending you hugs.

Hello Chooster howz the sickness?

MerryKitKatmass ? hello there! Glad to hear that you are ok, you sound happy and positive! I?m really looking forward to all those things too! We are having friends over on Christmas Eve and I had such a laugh buying the table pressies ? nipple tassels (festive of course!) for the ladies, lame thongs for the men and reindeer poopers for the kids My advice would be that if you are in the mood for a BD, go for it!

Kittiwakessnowflakes ? hello. Hope AF stays away.

Snowydays ? I prefer to only take the prenatal vits after OV just in case as I have read adverse things about continuing with some supplements but that?s just me. Sore throat can be a sign apparently. I know what you mean about the alcohol. I drink far too much, well not that much but maybe a glass or two a day most days, apart from 2ww when I am quite good. I was reading that alcohol around OV can reduce your chances too so will try and cut down around then too. I love my wine and would find it hard to give up but if I get to the end of Jan without a BFP, I?ll be giving it up, just in case that?s why. It?ll also help me lose the extra weight I?m lugging about I?m sure.

Welcome alittlebitshy! Hope you conceive quickly but if you don?t, we won?t let you get down about it, it will happen you know!

Hello Honeyapple ? no festive name now?!

Hello Pinky ? Glad to hear you feel upbeat, that?s great! I?ll hopefully know by New Year?s Eve too! Well done on the cards, I have done all the overseas ones and half of UK but still have a big pile to do. Have all pressies but only wrapped DH?s (he?s a peeker!)

Morning Sparkleytreeangel ? oh dear! That sounds like me, always row when we need to be doing just the opposite, maybe it?s a good way to make up? Fingers crossed.

Hello XmassyCharlotte ? re the BDing, put it this way, if I thought I could persuade DH every day during fertile week that is what I?d do but every other day is about my best shot They recommend every other day for men with lower sperm counts but if your man is firing on all cylinders and is up for it, I?d say the more you get the more chances you have personally.

MrsMcClaus ? cycle 7 ? CD4, due OV 17-19/12, AF due 29-31/12.
XmassyCharlotte - cycle 2 (of trying with a modicum of enthusiasm) - CD5 - due to OV CD14 - AF due 29th - will also be getting plastered on NYE if a BFN!!

Honeyapple- cycle 4 - CD10- due to OV CD14(?)AF due CHRISTMAS DAY.

MrsMcSpink - sorry to hear about your cat and glad to hear about your dh! i LOVE your dragons den idea! i am lucky(?) that my dh has already left the house by the time my thermometer beeps so it doesnt disturb anyone, but i do have to flick the light on and then off ( and normally on again just to double check!)

Chooster · 06/12/2006 13:33

Hello!!! Your posts are fab MrsMcClaus! Sorry to hear you cat is poorly and that your bosses are giving you hassle this week. Grrrrrrr - at least it will be over soon. Are you starting your new job on Monday?

Thanks for asking MrsMc but my sickness is still bad - constant nausea unless my tummy is 100% full. I may need to start taking in food intravenously (sp?) while I sleep

Chooster · 06/12/2006 13:34

Hope your spotting doesn't turn into AF Greedy

snowydays · 06/12/2006 13:43

Fingers crossed for you Greedy - it ain't over until fat auntie flo takes off her santa disguise and sing "Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells"

To take you mind off it - What is your favourite Christmas song?
I love Little Drummer Boy, In The Bleak Mid Winter (makes me smile and cry st the same time as it reminds me of my gran) and The Holly & the Ivy

MrsMcClaus · 06/12/2006 13:47

In the Bleak Mid winter certainly makes me cry when anyone I know tries to sing it!

Hi Chooster - yup, life's a bit stressful, bosses are now getting nasty (well, one is anyway!) .

greedyformincepies · 06/12/2006 13:50

MrsMcClaus · 06/12/2006 13:51

THis is where you have all gone.

I had the old thread on my watches and could not understand why it kept coming up with no new posts wneh you are all such prolific posters.

Impatience · 06/12/2006 17:22

I'm over on the other thread, Greedy. Come and say Hello. I'm a bit more cheerful now, might even raise a bit of friendly offending

alittlebitshy · 06/12/2006 17:25
