beaky good save! Xmas Wink My bloods results were pants, but they've gone ahead anyway and booked me in for EC on Wednesday. It’s all about the menkul… How’s your womble?

beakybeak · 15/12/2015 07:06

Sesame yes certainly yesterday it was much lighter! You have no idea how many times it took me to get that pasted correctly! Anyway how do you feel about ec? Come on Sesames two follies! I feel good about this one!

tigerdog · 15/12/2015 07:11

Morning, I don't want to mess up the perfect list as I'm on my phone, so can someone replace my stats with:

Tigerdog, 35 ttc since Jan 2013. Unexplained. IVF #1 chemical pregnancy. IVF #2 starting in January.

Thank you Xmas Smile

OTheHugeManatee · 15/12/2015 10:30

My stats for the list:

OTheHugeManatee 36, ttc #1 since Sep 2014. 1 MMC June 15, large fibroid (Gladys) discovered and MRI'd, uterus otherwise (according to Addenbrooks) 'unremarkable'. Still TTC au naturel, but with clinic appointment May 2016 so crossing fingers for a FUFC.

lumen · 15/12/2015 11:41

Can you remove me from the list? All done with ttc now, if a miracle happens then I won't be annoying everyone by announcing it on here, but after 3 failed IVFs we are retiring from the runners and riders. Best of berry luck to you all x

Smidge001 · 15/12/2015 12:15

Smidge 39, TTC since Jan '13. Unexplained. 3 IVFs and 1 FET all BFNs. 4th IVF yielded one last blasto, currently frozen and due to be transferred in early 2016.

happylass · 15/12/2015 17:11

Lumen would you like to be joint best in show with Pip? Or maybe the legend that is Lumen? And should the miracle happen there is nothing we would love more than to hear about it. Hope you're doing ok lovely Flowers
I'm also on my phone but will copy/paste/edit any bits and pieces before the new thread is started. Any ideas for a title?? Something about a Berry protest/waving placards etc??

Thought I'd share this just in case anyone is eligible?

defined cause is one of the criteria. Sad rules me out. Understandable though (now that I realise the positive stats for ivf are probably all made by couples with blocked tubes or sperm issues).
Makes me wonder if I'd have started all this if they split the stats for the unexplained vs specific in the first place. who am I kidding

barkingtreefrog · 15/12/2015 22:16

Good luck for tomorrow sesame

lumen if you get a miracle bfp you better had tell us! Thinking of you Flowers

smidge yes, the majority of the success stories seem to be obvious physical causes (tubes) or male factor. Flogging and dead horse spring to mind. My body has shown me three times that it can't carry a baby, and has failed to get as far as even trying many times more, but still here I am. I am seeing the final ivf as an annoying break from my training programme, nothing more. That will allow us to tick the 'no regrets, we tried everything' box and then move on to adoption.

happy poms poms, placards and a berry barricade - don't cross the berries!!

happylass · 16/12/2015 00:02

Yes Barking! "Pom Poms, Placards and Picket Lines. The Berries are putting up the barricades and will not be crossed! A delightful bunch of 30 something Ladybros TTC #1". Or something like that. Bit late for thinking straight.
Sesame all the very best for tomorrow. Let us know how you get on.

happy thanks, nice work on the alliteration! Good luck for your fc appointment. Hope they give you the go ahead for another try.

smidge the rules don't actually seem that well defined. I would say that 'unexplained' is arguably a defined cause of infertility at least for the purposes of the competition. In fact although being part of a couple is mentioned even that doesn't appear to be clear, so perhaps I'm even eligible for this, I've definitely got a defined cause of infertility lasting more than 2 years.....

lumen Flowers would love for you to come back and tell us about any miracles.

beaky thanks, on my way to the fc right now. Don't know how I feel tbh. Mind has been flitting between the whole thing being a waste of time and money and the fantasy of introducing my bump to my mum's baby obsessed extended family. Is it today your follow up counselling? How did it go?

barking thanks, how are you doing?
Why is EC always so bleeding early? Waking up at 4.50 makes me so bloody grumpy and I have to be civil to half of the fc, and make lots of Happy Christmas small talk while everything goes wrong round about me....

Who's missing from happy's list? nolly? ungoogs rain?

happylass · 16/12/2015 07:39

Nolly's on holiday isn't she? Is it a January start for her?
Rain is taking a step back for a while. I'll put a shout out over on FB to the others and get going with the new thread later today.
Hope all isg oing well with EC Sesame. At least when you're in early you don't have to go so long without food. My first EC was at 11am - I almost bit the nurses arm off when she offered me some toast afterwards!

Just quickly dashing through to say every bit of berry luck for your ec today Sesame, thinking of you this morning.

lucieloos · 16/12/2015 10:08

Good luck sesame!

happylass · 16/12/2015 17:53

Any news from Sesame??
NHS appointment started well with the consultant saying we could start again whenever we want. So I asked if my next cycle (ie 6th Jan) would be OK and he said fine. Then went to reception to book in for treatment planning and the earliest appt they have is 3rd Feb by which time I'll be cd4/5 of my next cycle so prob too late to start stabbing then so it'll be early March before we get going. Receptionist was so rude when I pointed out we'd been told we could start early Jan. Don't even know why we need treatment planning - we'd already been told we are using exactly the same protocol/meds. So assuming this cycle doesn't work it'll now be too late to go out to Czech in Easter hols (had originally hoped we could go out in Feb half term) which means the next time we can make it out will be end of May. Hate this shit!!!! 😡😡😡

OP posts:
happylass · 16/12/2015 18:42

And now I've just written a completely arsey email to the clinic manager so I would't be surprised if we don't end up getting treated at all Grin. Especially as DH had a go at the consultant because we were 40 minutes late being called in and no one in reception had the decency to even mention that they were running late! Can anyone tell that I'm really past caring!!
Think we need a new, more positive thread!! Will get on the case!

OP posts:
happylass · 16/12/2015 18:53

Me again!! Just found 12 Northisterone in the drawer so I'm going to delay my cycle in the hope I can start early Feb Anyone know how many you need to take per day? Can't remember if it's 2 or 3. Either way I should have enough to hold AF off for a day or 2 and hopefully that'll be enough.
